A barbershop is a business. A great barbershop is a community center, a news stand, and a high school reunion rolled into one. Rialto’s is a great barbershop. Vicky, Mark, and Bob have been cutting my hair for 25 years. High school prom, college graduation, first job interview, or summer lineup, they take the same time and care with each cut, but it’s the fact that they know what each cut is for that makes this place special. It’s the kind of place people bring their lunch to so they can share some laughs(and their food) with the familiar faces inside while they wait. They stay late for you, take care of customers who are too old or sick to come to the shop, and do it all with humor and care. I live in California now and my visits home are never complete with a stop at Rialto.

A decent haircut if you can tolerate all of the Rozzie style good ol’ boy type racist humor. They really seem like nice guys, and probably are, but I’ve gone a handful of times and have heard the racist joking and commentary every time… really a shame. I’ve given up and won’t be back.

I’ve been going to the Rialto for a few years now. My son Max, now 3, has been there for the only 3 in-store cuts of his life. He seems to fit in very well there. I recommend Rialto for the people, the price, and of course for the haircuts.
