I used to love this place, ordered at least once a week. Unfortunately as time has gone on it is no longer on my weekly rotation. I usually order a sliced beef sandwich with extra fries. What used to be juice, tender and smoky brisket is now dry and lacking those flavors that captivated me years ago. I love how they left a little fat right on the edge of each slice of brisket but now it seems all I get is fat with a side of meat. Their fries were the bomb crispy and always steaming hot. Now they’re just soggy and undercooked. I miss this place but I refuse to go back. Their sauce is still delicious but they are stingy with it. Service has always been fenomenal a young lady with short hair was always super polite and after my weekly orders would remember who I was when I ordered over the phone. I really want this place to shine the way it used to.

I can honestly say this is the worst barbecue I’ve ever had. I ordered the two meat plate with brisket and sausage. My fiancée ordered the loaded baked potato with chopped beef. My brisket had no smoke aroma, flavor or seasoning. I took one bite and I was done. I can’t describe how bad it was. The sausage tasted like it was cooked in pebbles. The baked potato was dripping with fat. It was hard to differentiate the cheese from the fat. How can barbecue not have a smoky taste? I only ate the macaroni and cheese. Sigh… They got me again…

Sad to say, but never go here. I try to support local businesses and end up shafted. Tried this place twice and will not be back. Nothing to see here, move along.

I go to this barbecue place for their sausage plates and sausage sandwiches. They taste so good and they chop them up so thick that it is great for a filling meal. Their desserts are also really really good. I have tasted their cakes and pies and I have to say that if you have a sweet tooth you should visit this place. One thing that sets this place apart is their cleanliness. Whenever I walk in they have the place nearly immaculate. It is a great place to sit down and eat and not just take to go. The staff is friendly and it is a family oriented restaurant.
Love this place! Employees are always friendly and the brisket is delicious! Tender and moist. I saw that someone said the place had slow service. It’s a bbq joint! I rather wait 5 minutes and get fresh cuts of meat than have some pull out precut pieces!

I broke one of my mama’s cardinal rules in trying this place. What’s the rule? If the place doesn’t SMELL like BBQ when you walk in, don’t buy it. Well — I’m dang near 40 and I have yet to debunk any of my mama’s rules. When I walked into this place to get take out, all I could smell was old grease. The dining room part was clean, though and the décor was okay for a strip mall place. I always order meat by the pound when trying out a new joint so I got brisket, ribs and turkey. Brisket — didn’t have solid flavor and either it was old and reheated or someone has developed a cooking technique that renders brisket crumbly. Not fork tender — crumbly. Even though I ordered sliced, I could only turn it into chopped beef sandwiches to save it and even then, both my daughter and I became magically no longer hungry after about half of the sandwich. Ribs — same crumbly technique as the brisket. At least they have this down to a science. Same non inspiring flavor. Turkey — The slices looked like pressed or lunch meat turkey and forget about being BBQ’d. Or perhaps they use turkeys that are bred to provide uniform, perfectly round slices. Call me crazy, but my Thanksgiving turkeys are never that consistency. Obviously that bird wasn’t fit to fly before the meat was formed for these slices. Very disappointing. So, what’s the one star for? The sauce. Yes — all those misses on meat, but the sauce is killer. And how to they serve it? In itty bitty azz sample containers. The one thing you really want out of the whole experience and you are rationed like water in the desert. not.going.back.ever.

Ribs were fabulous and juicy. Very tender. Great flavor. French fries were ok. The cost was a it pricey.

I bought a lb of brisket and a lb of turkey to go. It seemed like a long wait. They only provide 2 oz of sauce per lb of meat and seemed put out when I asked for more. The meat was good but about 1⁄3 of my brisket was untrimmed fat. Also there was an over whelming smell of old grease that was pretty off putting. While the bbq was decent, there was nothing there that made want to go back.

Went with a group of co-workers on a business trip. I’d been craving barbeque and one of them suggested this joint. The moment I saw the nice layer of char — I knew this was a good thing. I took the flimsy plastic fork and lifted an entire side of meat off the bone — what the what! Ribs were tender, flavorful sauce on the side. Special made a cheap but quality lunch. good potato salad as a side, sweet tea, and white bread too. Staff was funny, friendly, cashier was a little teasing in a sisterly way. Chef took pride in his work and both were very intune to customer service checking on us as if we were guests in their home. Service was quick enough. Restaurant was clean and homey airconditioned and a big screen tv tuned to daytime talkshows had us cracking jokes. Plentiful parking and fwy adjacent. about three southern boys attested to the legitness of the brisket claiming it was among the best they’d ever had! This is totally a destination in itself — do yourself a favor and drop on in.
