Number one has halfway decent food. However they always tend to close earlier than advertised on the menu. I called 45 minutes before closing and a guy answers saying no more orders I’m the only one here. Other times they just wont answer. The place has a mouse trap in the lobby. Makes me wonder about cleanliness.

I went there to see about a new Chinese place close to home. Ordered the sweet and sour chicken, which was more breading than chicken, no veggies in the sauce, and the sauce made me feel sick. I have had MUCH better. Decided this was not the place for me.

Hey all: This is my new«go to» place. They have good prices, and give you a good amount of food also. It is reasonably tasty and fresh. So right here alone, they are above average to their East side competitors. Further, while they are a bit rough around the edges, they appear to be cleaner than a lot of their competitors. Their lunch specials also are a GREAT value. The GOOD: 1). Good value for the money 2). Food is prepared fresh 3). Food is reasonably tasty 4). Kitchen is cleaner than most competitors 5). choice of pork or chicken fried rice in specials! 6). Fried rice is made up fresh 7). They charge the prices printed on the menu The Bad: 1). They are rough around the edges, strictly carryout. 2). Wish they had some more vegetarian options(bean curd) 3). Eggrolls are just so-so, better than competitors, but not great Could these guys be better? Absolutely… but in my opinion they are better than most of their competitors on the East side. So they get my business.

Just called here because I’m still looking for a new Chinese food restaurant. I was planning on placing an order until the person who answered the phone said what instead of hello. When I said I’m trying to call No 1 Chinese, they responded with yeah. I said I must have the wrong number, they person said no what you want. If this is the kind of service they offer, I’ll just keep looking for another place to eat.

First time ever ordering. Got almond chicken, and crab ragoons and I have to say I will never go anywhere else! It was so good and only cost me $ 14! That’s insane. Also there is no MSG! Love love love. Would definitely recommend!

This place is the bomb… freshly prepared combo fried rice and large portion that many nearby carry out can’t beat. Sweet and sour chicken and its sauce is the best in town. Crab Rangoon is also a must have. The price is also very reasonable.

This is your typical low priced Chinese take out joint. The food here is fresh and you get decent sized portions. It my go to place when I’m in a hurry.

Nasty. Ordered beef with mushrooms; restaurant was out of mushrooms so I ordered the beef and broccoli instead. This turned out to be a bushel of broccoli with approximately four shreds of rubbery beef – one of which was gristle. The beef fried rice was almost acceptable until I found veiny gristle in that as well. Gross. Last, the egg rolls tasted like the frying oil had been sitting and burning all day. I’m really disappointed. I moved to the east side last year and have been looking for a go-to Chinese place. This will not be it.

This place used to be my go to Chinese place for years. I’m not sure what happened, within the past year, maybe longer, I’ve been very disappointed with them. The food quality has declined to the point of almost inedible. Last time I ordered the General Tao chicken and chicken fried rice. The rice tasted like plastic, and the chicken was soggy like it had been cooked days prior and reheated in the microwave. Also I noticed that they raised their prices and lowered the quantity of food they give you in the combo meals. I have not and will not return.

Typical, cheap chinese food. Nothing great, just ok. The chicken and broccoli was decent, avoid the Mongolian beef.

Food was delicious and super fresh! Love how I was able to watch them cook everything and the place was clean. On too of that, it was SUPERCHEAP!(The best priced Chinese restaurant I’ve ever had). Highly recommend this place

First time trying their food. It was all noticeably fresh food, with fresh ingredients but I think they could have used more seasoning/spice in their sauces. I appreciate that you walk in and can see the kitchen. Its a little run down inside but clean enough, the cashier/cook/possibly owner was friendly and I liked my food!

Number one is right, best quality of Chinese food in town. Combo Rice looks fresh because it’s made to order. They put lots of effort into their food. Very authentic and veri nice family owned business. They seem to know every customers. I am one of the regulars, cheap price and large portion. And most importantly it tastes good.

Great food, the owners make it fresh and it’s delicious!!! I get carry out fairly often and it’s always great! This place is carry out only so keep that in mind. I would defiantly recommend this place!!!

It was pretty good for a 1st try. Liked the eggroll. I’ll have to revisit(yes it was worth a revisit) to do a more thorough review.
