Lane Bryant

Is it a coincidence that Lane Bryant is right next to an OPH or that Catherines is in the same strip mall as OPH in Edina? I don’t think so either. The demographics are too perfect. I don’t usually stop at this store, I get my pancakes and run. I never thought I’d see the day that a 14 is plus size. I look forward to that day. I ended up with a black blazer, and some sporty type pants. I almost bought some that I liked, and they ended up being pajamas. Trying these on was getting to be a chore. The staff were great. I did save $ 20 by opening up a charge card. Getting into my pants isn’t as easy as it used to be.

I brought my friend here just to look around a little. She’d been shopping with me all day and the reality of the situation is, the places I shop she can’t ever find anything that fits.
She was on the look out for some wide-​calfed boots, bras with no underwire and clothes that actually looks classy and doesn’t have obnoxious prints all over it. The selection was decent and the clothes were all very modern, nicely fitted for someone with extra love and priced appropriately. She didn’t buy anything but you could tell there was a sigh of relief that she could have at least entertained the idea.
I’m knocking off a star for one reason and that’s the woman that was «helping» us.
She asked my friend what bra size she was looking for, it was like a 40D or something, but the woman took one look at her and said «Are you sure, honey, you look more like a 42. I have a great eye for this».
… Byotch, I don’t care what your eyes can do. That was rude and not the way to suggest someone get measured or to make a sale.
Not to mention, this woman was wearing a stained t-​shirt and her hair was 3 different kinds of snarled. Snarl isn’t a style and you’re at work selling people clothes that’s supposed to make them feel pretty. If you can’t manage to put on a nice shirt and make some love to your hairbrush, why would anyone want to buy anything from you.
I gave my usual «You’re a dumb snatch» laugh and we left.
I’ll definitely shop here in the future but that lady took some of the happy out of the holidays.
I could be overreacting, but probably not.
