Big Lots!

Thomas was wonderful and helped us pick out our recliner. He was extremely helpful and answered all our questions. Very nice kid! The only problem was that the one we got was an open box return and they didn’t offer us a discount which we asked for. This was disappointing.

WORST Customer Service experience ever. I bought a mattress set from big lot and they recommended a company that can deliver. I agreed to the delivery option and they faxed the order in and had the company contact me. Three days went by and I had not heard from them. I contacted Big lot and they had the delivery company return my call. We scheduled the delivery for yesterday between 12 to 5. I them to call me so I can make sure the gate was opened. They called at 2:45 (phone never rang and went straight to voicemail) and said since you are not home we will not deliver. I called them back in 15 min and it kept going straight to vm. I had to call big lot again and they had the delivery company call me back at 3:30 and they refused to deliver that day even though we were scheduled for 12 – 5. I insisted that it should be delivered today as agreed upon and the owner of the company said we WILL NOT DELIVER TO YOU. I called big lot and raised in all the way to the corporate office and they said it is not their problem since the delivery company is not their employee. I told them since they have chosen to partner with these people they should be able to not allow them to treat their customers like this. Big lot offered to refund my money and that is all they will do. meanwhile my daughter is sleeping on the couch.

Great place to buy furniture! Purchased a couch and love seat here after shopping around. Their living room furniture prices can’t be beat! They don’t have a huge selection but they had exactly what we wanted. Pamela, the Furniture Manager, was incredibly helpful from start to finish. They use a third party delivery company who were professional and easy to coordinate with.

Three stars for a good, small Target-​like store. A good assortment of items, from food to towels, cheap watches to lawn chairs. The staff is always pleasant and I’ve never had a bad or even meh experience here. Three stars is a bit harsh, since it’s more like 3.5 stars. Maybe in time I’ll bump up to four.
So, much of the stock is cheap. Cheap prices for largely cheap quality. However, plastic bins are plastic bins, and these are great prices.
It also has cheap toilet paper. Just saying.

Ok place that beats Walmart once in awhile. They really need to update the music though. I feel 20 years older every time in here. This location is really nice compared to the average run down feel. It’s worth the drive if your closer to the Harding location.

I love this store! Cheap stuff! I love their «foreign food» section: reasonable and rare. Be careful of Exp. dates and you will be fine. Don’t go expecting to stock up on sodas like Pepsi or Cola, you won’t find any except generic brands. Clean, always too.

The day was October the 4^th 2014 and Big Lots was having a special 20% off sale the place was crowded and very busy however with all the craziness that was around the employees held it together and treated the customers as though they were the only ones around. We purchased a couch while trying for progressive something came about with the application and right away Curtis took care of it and everything worked out great we will return to this store. Thank You for being so kind.

We always end up stopping here to look around to see if we can find anything we want. Usually the only things we purchase are garden items — so we’ve purchased quite a few garden hoses (our puppy likes to eat them…), planter boxes, soil, etc… Usually the prices are very good.
In terms of variety — usually we don’t have an agenda when coming here — we just look/​browse around — but it does have great prices with a hodgepodge of stuff!

My Big Lots experience was better than any other I’ve been. Employee said, «Welcome to Big Lots!» I got all the discount goods I wanted, and the cashier was friendly and efficient. She even gave me a tip on how to serve the veggie chips I bought.

Epitome of Bad Service today! I spent about an hour shopping in the Garden Dept. where the signs are pretty prevalent that all garden items are 75% off with one sign being directly under said sign! I went to cashier who told me politely «oh these are not on sale 75% off» to be honest I didn’t feel like fighting or arguing over the lights and unloaded all 20 of the small solar lights and 2 lamp posts. Then to add salt to the wound, I paid her and while she was still in mid transaction a guy walked in off the street NOT A CUSTOMER MIND YOU! And asked rudely interrupting my transaction if she would break his $ 100! She didn’t finish with me first a paying customer, she held me up and changed out his $ 100 I was so angry I left and told her never mind the receipt! I won’t be going back! What a freaking idiot! Normally, I would have become vocal– but, I just left and decided that I’d let you guys know and when the Manager sees this review if he/​she knows how to manage they’ll have a word with this employee.

This is a very well-​kept Big Lots. I love coming here for cheap household items. The employees are friendly and helpful and the bathrooms are nice and clean. Much more than one would expect from a discount store.
