Always love the stuff here. Been to there stand every year in Princeton festival. We decided to come visit the store for a day trip in rosendale. Really cute shop. We called several times to make sure I can bring my dog on this day trip since it’s an long trip up here. Good thing I had a dog carrier, because by the time I walked into the store, they asked us to pick up the dog and not let her walk around. That would be pointless for our trip since we came here for them… But it all worked out. The lady was kind of cold at first but towards the end… She was making conversations so we def had a great time.

LOL. Someone listed Vision of Tibet as an optometrist. That would have to be some good doctor to tune someone’s vision to see that far! ;))) Perhaps in a way(s)he is correct… No, Vision of Tibet is a shop selling works of art and handicrafts made by Tibetans in exile, some Tibetans still in Tibet and/or antiques passed along to preserve their existence. Be it incense, prayer flags, statuary, woolly things(!) and some of the most moving photographs taken by the owner himself-heart breakers, it is all there to take in and take home. We got some blankets, incense plucked from various shrubberies at the base of Mount Kailash(!!!), a scarf and a felt necklace. There are several Tibetan owned businesses sprinkled about our fair Valley but this one in Rosendale has to be my favorite. I like to spread the love and support all of them from time to time but if I had bottomless pockets, it is to Vision of Tibet I would go to buy some amazing one of a kind pieces. Just being surrounded by so many items transports me and gives me pause to reflect on life’s tragedies as well as blessings. There is always hope! Vision of Tibet is a marvelous place well worth visiting be it a destination or a detour. Now if we only had some Tibetan restaurants!!! * * * RIP Detective John Falcone. A local Hero. * * * .
