A couple of coworkers and I went here for lunch the other day. I live in the area and never knew about this place but I’m so glad my coworker found it! I was a little overwhelmed when we first arrived because they have a ton of options and I didn’t know what to get. The staff was super friendly and helpful — they made suggestions based on the most popular items and our tastes(do we like spicy, etc.) I ended up ordering the Godzilla rolls and we got an order of the dynamite to share. The Godzilla rolls were spicy — but delicious! The dynamite was a deep fried spicy tuna roll w/avocado. I’d never had deep friend sushi before but it was good. It also came with a cup of miso soup and they brought some edamame to the table. The service was quick, we were barely sitting down and our orders were already being brought out to us. We must have missed the lunch time rush because when we arrived around 11:40 we didn’t have to wait in line and there were several open tables. I will definitely be taking my husband here!

My friends and I wanted sushi so we came here. I’m not a big fan of raw anything, but they had this sushi roll called ‘The Dynamite’, which was a roll with spicy tuna, avocado and was deep fried. It was so good that even after eating that roll, I wanted more, but I already felt full. I’ll definitely be back

Close to airport hotels within walking distance. I travel a lot and the sushi is OK not great almost good. Clean place and the food won’t get you sick.

My husband and I came here on the way to a show at the arena next door. We were initially surprised by the fast food nature but decided to stay as we really had a craving for sushi and the prices were decent. We placed our order, sat down and were served complementary edemame. It was gross. I promise you I’m not uptight about food at all but it was mushy and we couldn’t even eat it. Next, our food is served and I notice an order of Roe(raw fish eggs) that we did not place. I ask my husband if it was his and the girl rudely informs me that«You ordered it ma’am!». I politely said that no I did not order that, I ordered Tomago which is a sweet cooked(chicken) egg dish. After standing there looking at me like I’m an alien, I ask her to follow me to he display board where the dish I ordered is pictured. I point to a huge picture of Tomago and say that that is what I ordered & that was also on our receipt. After returning to the counter, the chef makes another incorrect dish before realizing what I actually ordered. The server and her start Arguing loudly about me and how I should pay extra for the food that had to be remade. At this point my husband and I are in shock and furious. I had to speak with the chef and inform her that I can clearly hear her and that we will not be paying for ANYTHING extra, as they are the ones who don’t know their own menu. The girl just looked at me, no apologies or even the slightest bit of professionalism. There was no manager available and no refunds given. Unbelievably bad experience.

Edit: Got an email asking where the information is. If you just go on google. It first hand shows the schedule. And i think its written on the menu. I havent been there in awhile so. I don’t know how to email back to whoever messaged me. Love the food! But this place needs to update their online information! I was looking forward to ordering food on a sunday! I kept calling and no one answered! So I thought maybe they’re busy and drove all the way to the place. Then the sign says open 3pm on sundays. Well online it says it opens at 11 any day! FIXTHIS!

We went for dinner and very impressed! Large portions salad comes with dinner. I declined salad so got another heaping of rice! I had chicken breast and the sushi looked very fresh at the tables around us. Would eat here again! I had enough to have lunch the next day :)

Horrible food! Dirty restaurant! Staff is terrible. Watched one girl stand outside smoking and spitting came back in and went right back to work without washing hands! This place is disgusting!!! Way over priced for the quality of food. BEWARE!!!

It is what it is, in and out sushi in a strip mall. Not bad for a quick fix. You can do most under $ 10. One step up from Panda Express which is across the parking lot.

I’ve came here on a couple of occasions. The thing I like about this place the most is that they have photos for all the sushi rolls. I’m a visual person so I like to see what my food looks like. I usually try different things when I come in but have gotten the Dynamite sushi(fried spicy tuna) on each trip. however the last time for some odd reason the Dynamite didn’t taste right and I stopped in the middle of eating my 3rd roll(it comes with 8) I didn’t even really think of this at the time but whenever I start commenting on your bathroom, I’m usually done with the place. I so happened to have to use the bathroom. and the lights barley came on. I think 3 bulbs were blown…(they are a 3 min walk from Target… how long does it take to change the bathroom bulbs?) the door would SLAM shut. for me if you can’t be bothered with small details like this chances are small details about how you prep my food doesn’t matter much either. which usually leaves me not wanting to ever come back. sadly had it not been for this last trip I would have given it 4 stars. Don’t see myself coming back anytime soon.

Normally fast good sushi… slightly higher in price but have dealt with it because the sushi is fresh… well I will be hesitant to return. Waited 40 minutes for my order which was four normal rolls nothing special! When I brought it to their attention that I had been waiting for 30 minutes they said Ohh we are sorry it will be right up. 10 minutes later they bring my order. No apology no comp on the meal… nothing. A good business makes their customers want to come back… nope not me… they get a negative Unilocal review!

This is kind of like the Subway of sushi. There’s some cheap stuff in the menu — you could definitely walk out spending $ 10 or less if you wanted to. But the better stuff will cost you, of course. For a couple rolls or some of the nicer fish, expect to spend $ 15 for lunch. It’s OK, but nothing special.

Sakura is your decent suburbanite sushi joint. The food by itself is nothing very special. They serve all the traditional rolls and sashimi with a couple house creations. The reason it is getting the above average score is due to it’s great all you can eat happy hour. $ 18 for all-you-can eat sushi and appetizers between 230 and 430 is an amazing deal even if it is lacking some of the flare you would receive from a higher end sushi establishment. Even the $ 20 price for the rest of the day is a good deal. As they say,” you get what you pay for”; but in this case, you get a little more — especially during happy hour. That is why I am awarding 3 stars.

After hearing about this place from a disgruntled employee, I decided to give it a go. The Chicken Teriyaki, Spicy Chicken Teriyaki were on point for the most part. I just wished it wasn’t so laden with sugar/corn syrup. The Chicken Katsu was sadly disappointing. The batter was like mediocre shake’n’bake and the sauce was sub-par. I think I’d go back and try their sushi or to get their Teriyaki when I have a sweet tooth ;)

My husband and I saw this place while driving around looking for food and wanted to try it. The sushi we ordered wasn’t bad at all. My husband can eat peppers but did say the spicy tuna was a bit too hot for him, but the spicy tuna roll was good. We also ordered the yammy yammy roll which was delicious. Very flavorful and we loved the crunch it had. Then I ordered the chicken katsu lunch special and I thought the katsu sauce was too salty. I’ve eaten this dish at a lot of other places so I know how the sauce should taste like and it wasn’t the best. I wouldn’t recommend ordering that dish. Or if you do order, get it with the sauce on the side. Overall, the restaurant was alright. I would only go back if I was back in the area, but not a restaurant that I’d travel far to specifically go eat there only.

I was not impressed while in town on business. Heard good stuff from the hotel staff that I was staying at about this place. A couple of concerns with my meal: –ordered 3 separate rolls and all rolls didn’t test fresh. Tuna seemed almost rubber like –main employee, probably owner, was more concerned about making sure his employees were doing their daily tasks than worrying about the customer –no follow up after order was delivered –sad excuse when asking for spicy mayo. Sounded like the owner was penny penching. Who gives spicy mayo in a to-go sample size container for a dine in customer? Highly aggravating. They should know better…

This was a real miss for lunch today before catching my flight. The fish is pre-cut and pre-portioned, and it has absolutely no flavor. On top of that, the rice had no flavor and fell apart at first touch. The restaurant wasn’t very clean, and this uninspired mess cost $ 12 with a drink. Fast-casual sushi can be done very well, this is not.

Took 45 minutes before cashier realized I didn’t get my order. No offer of refund additional item or even drink for water while I waited. Simple«oh whoops» and that’s it? Poor service and chefs lick their hands before handing order to you.

I came here with a co-worker for a quick sushi lunch. I had been wanting sushi for a while, so I thought coming here would cure my fix. Unfortunately, that was not the case. They have a bunch of lunch specials, but I didn’t think they were that great. I went with a spicy tuna and spicy salmon combination. It was about $ 8 total and did not include a drink. There were some bento boxes that would run you about $ 10, but I didn’t like the sushi offered in those. The sushi was fine, but it was nothing special. I barely tasted the spicy-ness in the rolls, or the fish itself for that matter. Service was fast, which is much appreciated for a work lunch, but I’m not sure I’ll head back anytime soon.
