I frequent this gym about 6 out of 7 days a week for the past six months. The gym is great, lots of equipment and space.

I was a member of this gym for many years. It has everything you could possibly want in a gym. The list goes on… Pool Indoor track Tennis court Racquetball Basketball Massage Food café Tanning State of the art free weights and nautilus Steam rooms Sauna I could keep going but you get the idea. The place is absolutely huge. You could almost get lost. You can get a ton of steps in here for you Fitbit users! Lol A few of the issues that prevent five stars are the non reprimanding of the clientele that sit naked in the locker rooms watching TV. Naked on the furniture after a workout! It’s gross, very unclean. In addition to that, their accounting service never issued a refund and they are not easy to work with when it comes to this. Also they gym is a little pricey, however I guess if a gym can charge what they do, they’d be the ones who can because of all they offer.

I’ve been to a lot of gyms. This is a pretty good gym, whatever your fitness level or goals. Shit tons of cardio machines for people of smallness to use. The standard array of Nautilus machines for people who don’t know any better to use. A decent-sized free weights area and every ab contraption I’ve never heard of. Two of the most solid, competition-ready power racks I have ever seen. I’m pretty sure I could dump a house off my back on these racks. Big big big plus. A nice variety of bars, too, although the people who organize and use them seem to have no clue which bars are meant for which lifts. A nice, eclectic mix of old and new equipment. Dumbbells from 2 lbs up to… 110 I think? The old dumbbells go up to like 60 lbs, and they have normal-sized grip. Fortunately, or unfortunately for the forearm-challenged, virtually all of the newer dumbbells are fat-grips only. Nitpick: people don’t put their plates back in the right places. I chalk this up to a lack of labels to guide those with poor pattern recognition and spacial intelligence. Oh yeah, chalk. You can use that anywhere. I chalk up for the treadmills. This is my level: this is you not on it. They don’t have a freaking deadlift jack. Why does nobody have a damn deadlift jack? I should ask them; they’ll probably buy one with all of their money from the people who pay for the VIP locker room. Whoever those chumps are. Probably business type guys who can afford an extra like $ 100 per month to come to this gym and not have to look at old mens’ dicks. Basketball court; pool with three lanes of swimming area. Hot tub. Sauna. Steam room. Racquetball or tennis, for extra money. Nice large track. Power/speed bag area with gloves for public use. Ad hoc group fitness classes — just show up and do them if you want. Pretty neat, in my opinion. There’s a smoothie bar where you can get drinks made of protein power, syrup, water, and ice. Yum and/or yuck, whatever. They have mirrors everywhere. Mirrors at the water fountains. These people GET it. There’s a dude perpetually in scrubs who I guess must be the(chiro?)/sports trainer who rents an office in the gym. I surmise this because he’s always training people. Old ladies like his butt. They may or may not have told me this in confidence. There’s a day spa that’s never open when I’m there. There’s a kids’ playroom that I’ve never seen a kid in. One of the employees was chilling out watching telenovelas in there once, though. The nice lady at the front desk remembers me. The patrons are by and large pretty all right folks, and all types come here. Fat, fit, old, young. That’s how you know it’s a solid, thick, tight, well-rounded gym with damn near everything you could ask for. Oh yeah! They have this area that’s clearly intended for some sort of Crossfit class. Almost literally a box. Sectioned off from the rest of the gym. And usually empty. I do deadlifts there and smile.

My poor Unilocal review for the Rosemont Health and Fitness Club does not come from the facility itself but from the bookkeeping staff that handles member’s fees/payments. The facility itself is actually outstanding and outshines any XSport or Planet Fitness that I’ve ever been to. One cannot beat the amount of space and variety of equipment this gym has to offer. Unfortunately, when it comes to handling membership payments they are severely lacking. I had to cancel my membership in September due to injury. I was aware of the 30 day notice with cancelling my membership. I had paid what I thought was my last payment in October with my last day being the 31st. Thinking I had settled my debt, I received a bill in December stating that I was past due on my account. I thought it was very strange that this bill came in December; I wondered what happened to a November statement??? I decided to email the club inquiring why I was receiving a bill after I had thought I settled my debt months after cancelling.(I would also like to note that I received half of someone else’s statement with mine which was even more confusing.) The contact at the gym said I still owed $ 60 and said if I had any more questions to please contact her. I did have one more question. I wanted to know if members paid by month or paid a month in advance. I have no problem paying my debts, but as a member I have every RIGHT to question anything regarding my account. Needless-to-say she NEVER responded to my email. January and February pass and I have still not heard from the gym, I thought the proof I sent from my bank was sufficient enough to show that I indeed paid my debt. March rolls around and I receive an email from a new person stating that I need to pay my account. She«claims» in this email that the gym has been trying to contact me for months. Not sure who they were contacting but I NEVER received a phone call, email, or statment in January or February about this matter. All I needed was one question answered. I have no qualms about paying my bills, but for my account to be handled so sloppy and with little regard other than a demand for money has ensured that I will not be returning to this gym. It has also earned them this poor Unilocal review.

Facility is decent. Nice and clean. Management team is TERRIBLE. i understand this is a review for the facility but I quit this gym because of the management and will never return to work out here. The gym has hair salon, massage spa and chiropractic office. I highly recommend Chiropractic office and the spa!

Me: Recent new member Rosemont Fitness: clean, nice locker room, large facility… this gym has everything you need to work out. pool, tennis, gym, room for yoga, another room for fitness classes, another for spinning. steam room. the age diversity is great. i love seeing the older crowd walking the 1⁄5 track along side the runners. the spinning class is great — denise is patient with new spinners and has turned me into an addict. a spa, chiro, hair salon is also on site. group fitness classes are nice. could use another cardio group class option. love the large open space of the gym. not a chessy gym. i’d say the average age is mid 30 – 40’s to over 80. they have on-site child care but we don’t use it much because it was a bit crowded and overwhelming for my child.

We were members when it was Willowcreek club, nice staff except for Kathy who can be rather abrupt and caustic. Clean place, nice members and whirlpool, saunas.

Huge facility with a wide variety of equipment. Completely empty in the morning(around 6 – 8 usually) and a small after-work crowd as well. Clean and welcoming too.

After reading two of the recent reviews, I actually am somewhat incensed by the comments these people made. I have been working out at Rosemont for over six years now, and absolutely love this place. Yes, there is some new equipment, and the floors were recently completely redone, and the whole color scheme was changed from shades of green to red and black. The equipment is all kept in perfect condition, and I have reported equipment in bad order that I noted was repaired by my next visit, the following day. Different types of people seem to predominate during the day, seniors in the morning, then a rush of business types at lunch, somewhat lighter in the afternoon, and then again an after work rush. Don’t worry about your condition here, you don’t have to be a model to work out here. I particularly resent the comments about some of the older people here. I’m pushing 60 myself, but I have seen people from their teens up to and through their eighties working out here. God Bless Em! Thankfully, the only thing this gym seems to lack are young punks of both sexes intent on posing in the mirrors and tying up machines and positions for people while they have extended conversations… I can live without them. In the years I have been working out here I have never had a problem with anything being stolen from my locker or gym bag, and as a matter of fact have had things that I dropped returned to me by the staff. I highly recommend this gym to anyone, as it includes the inside track, as well as indoor basketball, tennis, and racketball courts, free weights, Keiser machines, weight stack machines, treadmills, steppers, and other cardio equipment. Drop by and check it out!

In response to some negativity, Rosemont Health and Fitness has done a bit of renovating over the past couple months. The indoor track is the largest I’ve ever seen, boasting a 5 laps a mile radius. That’s huge for a health club. Some machines are older than others, but all of them are in top shape. Pool is nice as well. Plus the gym isn’t ever very crowded, so you don’t have to fight people to get machines. If you live in Rosemont, there’s a discount.

I have been working out at this gym for over a year now and love it. The place is enormous and has everything you could be looking for in a gym(and more). Cardio machines, free weight room, ab /core workout area, basketball court, tennis court, volleyball court, running track etc. There is even an area with punching bags and a martial arts training room. The gym members are mostly locals from the area and are not pretentious at all. It makes for a very comfortable workout environment. Plus the place is never crowded since it is so huge. The locker rooms have recently been updated and are spotless. The staff assigns you a locker when you walk in(they give you a key) along with 2 towels so you don’t have to worry about bringing your own. There is also a hair salon, massage studio, chiropractor, and smoothie bar on site as well. This place has it all!

Located in Rosemont, just east of Mannheim on Higgins. Very clean, almost spotless. Nice selection of cardio equipment, tennis court, track, wooden basketball court, raquetball court, etc. Weight room is a bit small, but its enough as the place is so huge, 90,000 square feet, even when the parking lot is loaded, the gym isn’t. The staff is friendly, and the clientele is also so. No attitude about this place at all, and people show up to workout, and not be seen.
