A beautiful, somewhat new facility. They keep the facility really nice and clean. The Rosemead Kiwanis host the mayor’s prayer breakfast here every year during Veterans Day holiday. The main entrance is located on the side of the building between the from parking lot and the back parking lot.

My son takes the preschool classes here. He really seems to have adapted to this school very well. Ironically, he’s been to a preschool that costs $ 950 a month and didn’t adapt too well. This is about $ 10 a day for 3 hours a day. It gives kids a chance to interact and learn. It also gives parents a chance to run errands. The teacher is very great with kids and the parents.

the garvey community center has been open for like 4+ years now. It houses senior activities, adult education programs, preschool, and youth and adult classes during the day. it’s clean. it has a lot of classes offered to their residents. i’ve taken yoga, cake decorating, belly dancing, etc classes here. the instructors are very nice. each time i’ve taken a class the rooms they use are different. each class has been pretty spacious. they also offer like piano lessons, martial arts, knitting, etc. i don’t live in the city of rosemead but i usually take advantage of their classes. they send out a brochure every season but since i don’t live in rosemead i usually just go in to grab one. it’s free. they have a table filled with flyers of events, classes, community activities, etc. that is useful for residents in the rosemead community. bathroom has no paper towels. they have blow dryers. plenty of parking in the back and some in the front of the building. it’s right next door to the senior apartments. They have a variety of meeting and event rooms that could accommodate up to 180 guests for dining. There’s also smaller rooms for rent for community or business meeting. when you exit the parking lot, you can not turn right on red. just FYI. overall, i would say this is a good place to take classes. i wouldn’t rent it to have a wedding banquet/reception or anything like that.
