Service: They may be appointment only, but how can one get an appointment if the office doesn’t answer their phones? I’ve called during business hours – not even during lunch time – and left several messages on their answering machines to no avail. Are you sure you’re open from 9:30am — 6pm? Such poor customer service.

I was referred to Dr. Lew by my PCP and to be honest I was skeptical because I have had gone through several podiatrist, dermatologist, and doctors about an injury on my foot that was never resolved.
From the moment I walked into the Dr. Lew’s office I was taken care of by his staff and was automatically comforted with the amount of professionalism that his staff posses. Dr. Lew suggested that I use a boot for my left foot that would prevent pressure on the granuloma induced hole I had on my foot. Even though the boot helped with the pain and healing process, Dr. Lew felt that the next step in my recovery would be to conduct a surgical procedure by placing a skin graph on the hole. Since the procedure was costly Dr. Lew had warned that there would be a probability of it not being covered by my insurance. BUT LIKE I SAID BEFORE DR. LEW’S STAFF IS AMAZING !(Vicky and Paige especially) Dr. Lew and his staff stopped at nothing in order to get me an affordable price. Despite the opposition from my insurance company and miscommunication from the alhambra hospital Dr. Lew performed the skin grafting surgery on my foot.
Extremely grateful by the care and support from this office. This review isn’t enough for the amount of gratitude I have for Dr. Lew, if it wasn’t for him I would probably still be wrapping my foot with gauze, not being able to play sports and having frequent pain. SO A BIG THANK YOU! BEST PODIATRIST IN SO CAL!

Dr. Lew is very attentive and understanding of his patients’ needs. He is also very courteous and gentle.

I was playing basketball and I landed on someone’s foot and severely sprained my right ankle. I was only able to put a little pressure on the right foot and was badly limping. I had no insurance and was looking for a podiatrist in my area. Dr. Derrick Lew had great reviews and was really close to me. I called over the phone and they were able to fit me in their appointment book. Their staff is very professional and Dr. Derrick Lew really takes the time to see his patients and explains everything in great detail. He ordered x-​rays and explained to me that I didn’t have a fracture (which is good news!). I let me borrow crutches to help me ambulate and he wrapped my right ankle/​foot really nice. He set up my follow up appointment before I walked out the door. I can’t wait to go back for my appointment and my ankle feels a lot nicer now. I feel more relieved that I didn’t have a fracture and that it will just take time to heal and don’t have to worry about other things that could have happened.

My grandma and my dad don’t have any insurances, so we have been hesitant to go to any clinics. I have been looking for the cheapest charge clinic online around the neighborhood, and comparing their prices. I’m so glad that I decided to bring my family to see Dr. Lew. He is very professional, kind, attended and caring. He understands our family difficulty and only charge us a minimum fee for all the visits and shots! My grandma has been suffering from the corns on her feet. She couldn’t walk or stand over an hour due to pain at the corns. Fortunately, Dr. Lew was very patiently removing all the corns on my grandma’s feet for over a half hour. And he also prescribed a very cheap soften cream for my grandma to apply so that it can slow the formation of corns. At the same time, my dad was suffering from arthritis at his left ankle. When it was severe, he had to drag his leg and walked like a cripple. After Dr. Lew injected the nerve block shot, he is able to walk normally without pain! Dr. Lew then educated us on diet modification to minimize the outbreak of arthritis. We are very grateful for all Dr. Lew’s care as well as the friendly environment in his clinic. Unlike some other clinic’s front desk who are rude and slow, his staff all welcome you with a kind smile and work efficiently. Dr. Lew is the best, and I strongly recommend that if you are suffering from any foot problems, please go to Dr. Lew! You won’t regret it!

So I am actually doing this review for my dad. My dad has been suffering from heel pain for quite some time. He would always go to those foot massage places but after a couple of nights later, the pain will come back. I asked him to go see Dr. Lew and see if it’s medically related because he is also a diabetic. Turns out my dad has severe bone spur and after getting a shot, his pain was all gone! He has been pain free for 6 months now. Thanks Dr. Lew again.

Dr. Lew is the best Podiatrist in Southern California hands down. I went to several Podiatrist to get my Foot Treated as it was having pain for six months and no Podiatrist was able to diagnose the issue.
When I came to Dr. Lew after I found out about him, he diagnosed it was a huge Wart on my foot. I was so relieved to hear that he diagnosed the issue that prevented me from running, walking, and doing daily errands for six whole months!
After he diagnosed, he educated me and told me how I got it and how to prevent it. He started treating it right away. His nurse is excellent as she is very nice and professional and is very friendly staff.
I came on a day when I didn’t have an appointment as I was having lots of pain in my foot during my treatment and he took me in and was able to remove my Wart after couple Laser procedures and removing the callas on my foot.
Now I am able to walk again without any pain all thanks to Dr. Lew and his amazing work he did on my foot. I owe everything to him and feel very happy to have him as my Podiatrist.
I recommend him to everyone that has any foot issue as I know he will do an awesome job of treating them!

We were so grateful to find Dr.Lew. my husband is diabetic and was diagnosed with osteomyelitis a very bad bone infection on his left foot. He could have loss couple of his toes. Dr Lew performed 2 surgeries and they were successful. He was able to save my husbad toes! and give us a hope. He is the best doctor. Very professional and knowledge. His staff is great. Dr. Lew is an awesome doctor! He explains everything with regards to procedures and gets deep into detail which I love because I’m a sponge for knowledge! Science and the body are so interesting! He’s very personable and has always been kind with my daughter. I definitely would recommend him to all my friends and family! He also gave my daughter some advice when it came to schooling. I always appreciate a doctor who is genuinely good hearted rather than some that are a bit pompous. Dr. Lew’s assistant is a sweetheart… such a young girl with an old soul. I don’t remember her name but she was helpful in easing my daughter and is oh so knowledgable as well. They make a fab team! Fyi I have pretty feet and he made my daughters pretty again! Thanks Dr. Lew and staff!

Got a referral to visit Dr. Lew for pain in my large toe. The pain was so great I could barely walk. Dr. Lew diagnosed me having gout (which was new to me). He said it is caused by diet and also a traumatic injury/​strenuous exercise. He walked me through all the options and said surgery should be the last resort.
Dr. Lew gave me a Kenalog injection and prescribed medication to alleviate the gout. He said overall I’ll need to watch what I eat and try to rest the toe as much as possible. I liked that he related to me in non technical terms so I could comprehend everything. Very personable and professional.
In addition to treating me, he made me a pair of custom inserts that work great. Since my visit in June, the gout has subsided and I can walk and run like I used to. I recommended him to my mother in law because he is bilingual in Chinese.
Definitely would recommend to anyone that has any feet issues.

I wanted to hold off on my review until I was 100% recovered from surgery.
I went to another doctor (who i would not name) for my ankle and it was getting worse for the past 3 months. I decided enough was enough and went to Dr. Lew for another opinion. I had an MRI performed and my ankle ligament was ruptured! Dr. Lew performed surgery on my ankle to repair the ligament. I was 100% after one month and have no swelling.
When I was at his office, I saw a lot of patients there who underwent surgery as well. They all seemed to be happy too. This was a much difference than the other office I was at.
His staff is very friend. They all seem to be smiling, its a good atmosphere to be in. Dr. Lew is the best, thank you.

Dr Lew is a super nice and patient expert for the feet problem. My right foot nail was grown an angle shape two moth ago, it hurt me a lot when i was walking…
Dr Lew helped me to cut it off (not hurt at all during the surgery), and of course it was getting better. I could feel nothing after it, so I thought I did not have to come back for following up then even Dr Lew had made an appointment for it; however, I felt a little hurt last night… I called Dr Lew’s office and came back this afternoon, Dr Lew was super patient, and asked me some questions. After that, he helped me to check again, and cut off more snalls for preventing my feet FOR FREE…
I definitely won’t miss my next follow up appointment after two weeks… Highly suggest anyone who has any feet problem to come here.
