The auxiliary connection in my car stopped working. I called to set up an appointment but received a voicemail so I left a message. Within minutes I received a call from Larry informing me that the shop was closed but he wanted to see if he could walk me through my issue via phone. After answering a few questions to give Larry some context with my issue he thought the problem might be with the auxiliary cables themselves. He suggested that a buy a new set and see if that fixes the problem. I made my way to a best buy bought new cables and problem was solved. I want to thank Larry for calling me back so promptly and for calling me on his day off. Says a lot about his character and his commitment to customer service. I am beyond grateful for the quick fix.

As someone else mentioned, enter from Custom Connections. My remote starter (installed elsewhere) had stopped working and Larry was able to schedule an appointment within a day. When I got there, he figured out the problem and fixed it quickly. Glad I saw these reviews and went to him.

I emailed Soloman’s Finest on a weekend for pricing for two of our vehicles. Larry responded quickly, provided great pricing and was flexible to work around our schedule. Both vehicles were completed ahead of schedule and worked just as promised. He was great to work with and I wiłl be sharing their info with friends and coworkers. Felt 100% comfortable with everything.

I finally got my car a remote starter and Larry’s reviews were all great so I gave it a shot. His email responses were quick and he answered all of my questions about the specific remote I wanted. I got a weekend appointment and was done with installation in about 2 hours. He made sure to explain all the specs and was very helpful.

Larry knows his stuff! Went to this guy to install a powered sub for my C-​Max and he got it done and even showed me what he did. Heck he even knew where the factory amp was located! I couldn’t figure that out for the life of me! I’m glad I went to him instead of trying to do this myself because my method would have been messy. The price is right with this guy and I wish I could give more than 5 stars!

I needed a double din and backup camera installed on my Z. Larry did a great job. The cost is fair and the work is professional. I have no issues with the installed items and will use Larry for future projects.

I read all the reviews so I came here and it was all true, Larry is the man, he squeezed me in last minute got everything hooked up nice for a remote start on my stick shift, not a lot of places can even do that and he did a great job very professional, he just got a lifetime customer and I’ll refer all friends and family

I was given the Cobra remote start as a gift and Larry installed it for a very reasonable price. My Mazda6 is also a push to start and he did not charge extra, although labor can be more for these I’m told.
Larry was great at explaining all of my options to me over the phone and was always quick to return phone calls if I missed him.
Also, if you are using your phone for remote start, I highly recommend you get the antenna and remote to start it manually. Although the phone always works well when I’m far from my car (never had an issue w/​service anywhere in the Chicagoland area), it’s much less of a hassle using the manual remote at home. I don’t have to unlock my phone and open an app, just push the button by your door. Larry will install it as an add-​on and give you a major discount.
Overall, very satisfied with my service here. I’m thinking about possibly getting a backup camera /​navigation installed. If I do, I am definitely taking my car back here.

Larry is awesome. He installed power locks in my car for literally half of what my dealer and other private businesses quoted me (i had an appointment somewhere else and cancelled it after i spoke with Larry). He gave me his best price the first time i called and didn’t try to rip me off like the other places i called looking for prices. He is very honest and professional and i think more businesses should run this way. If your skeptical to call a business you find online, as i was, my advice to you is to just call him for a quote and then make a decision from there. Believe me you will be happy you did. I am actually going to call him again to get power windows installed because i liked his work so much.

I have to tell you, this is a first… I have never chosen a business based on Unilocal reviews alone but I did! How could I do otherwise… They have 100% Five Stars! You can’t get better than that. Unilocalers can be a tough crowd to please & Larry has managed to make them all happy.
I had to have a repair to my Alpine stereo system. In addition, my Blue Tooth microphone needed adjustment. I left a message & was called back within an hour or so. Was able to set up appt for next day. Larry knew what to do, no hesitation. He was finished within 30 mins & did a great job. I am VERY SATISFIED & would recommend him to all of my friends or anyone who needed this kind of service.

When I first decided to move to Chicagoland, lots of people recommended that I invest in a remote ignition system for the cold winter months. I did a little research on Unilocal and Larry’s name came out on top. I am hereby confirming what everyone else has said about Larry — the guy is as professional and efficient as is humanly possible.
He dropped by on a Saturday morning, and finished in little less than 2 hours. He then spent about 30 minutes going over all the features of my new security/​remote ignition system. Afterwards, I told him I’m also thinking about installing a in-​dash Navi system, and he explained exactly what parts I’d need to buy and where I’d be able to buy them from.
What a pleasant experience! I would definitely do business with Larry again.

Larry Spears is amazing.
I just bought a 2005 Prius, and wanted to make my stock stereo iPod compatible, with the ability to charge my iPhone/​iPod and control it from the dash and steering controls, as well as adding an auxiliary port for other devices.
I found the kit online based on good reviews (for this particular conversion, it’s a well known product), and called around to price the installation, only. I received some seriously inflated prices and a lot of uncertainty regarding the kit — even when I provided all the technical specs. Most of the people I called had no idea what I was talking about and were hesitant to work on a Prius stereo.
Based on the reviews here, I called Solomon’s Finest and spoke with Larry. He knew exactly what I was talking about and quoted me a fantastic price. We were able to schedule the installation very quickly, and he came TO my place and had the kit installed in under an hour.
Everything works exactly as it should, the installation was clean and fast, and Larry was extremely professional and knowledgeable. The convenience of having someone come to my place would have been enough to book an appointment, but the incredibly fair price was the icing on the cake. Highly recommended.

Absolute excellence. I bought an AMP for my car since I needed one for the new speakers I purchased in the previous review. I cant describe or explain how happy I am with Larry’s service but you must absolutely try this guy before you call anywhere else or go anywhere else.
Its always scary to have a random person come over to your place, work on your car and of course, you wonder if they do a crappy job, what can I do about it?
He came out to my building and we talked about location of the AMP and how the wiring was going to work, etc, etc. An hour and a half later I went back downstairs to the parking area of my building and he was finished. We tested it out, it worked amazing… I did the whole fade back /​forth, left and right speakers, etc… made sure all was working as it should.
Larry is a friendly, sociable guy and has no problem explaining what he’s doing or what he’s done to your set up. The price was more than fair, seriously.
After we were done he showed me a few pics of a current custom set up he is working on for another customer and its pretty damned impressive. All I can say to you reading this review, do yourself a favor, at least call him first… get some info, if you still dont like it, fine —
Superb service at a fantastic price. I wont be using anyone else for audio ever again.

I dont want my review to be misleading but I think its important to note the following:
I needed some speakers installed in my car and called the majority of the people given good reviews here on Unilocal.Larry from Solomon’s Finest called me back immediately after I tried reaching him at 8 am (he opens at 9 am).
He was very straight-​forward with pricing, the time it would take to do the job and on top of it, he comes out to your location. You just can’t beat this. Unfortunately he was all booked up for today and I have to use someone else. I could tell though from the phone conversation we had and the other reviews on here, this guy is a straight-​shooter. He wont try to BS you or quote you ridiculous rates.
Ill make sure to use him in the future for any installs on my car and will definitely recommend to friends and family.
Again, I am not reviewing his services as our schedules conflicted but before you go with anyone else, call this guy and see if theres a fit for whatever job you need done.

I have to agree with the previous reviewers. Owner — Larry did an awesome job. I had a Prestige XR9000 Remote Starter/​Alarm installed and so far I am very pleased. Larry was able to quickly schedule an appointment with me and installed the system in about two hours (Best Buy’s Installer told me it would take six hours).
Larry came to my location at the scheduled time and after he completed the install he showed me how to operate the system and answered all my questions. He also assured me that my system was warranted for the lifetime of the vehicle and to call him with any problems or malfunctions.
I join the other reviewers with a 5-​star recommendation.

I was referred by a friend to Solomon’s Finest. After calling and getting the price, I scheduled an appointment and the owner came out to my house and installed a Remote Starter while I sat in the house and watched tv. When he completed the installation he came and got me and showed me how the system worked.
The owner was professional and courteous and the price was excellent. I highly recommend using this company if you are someone who expects professionalism and a job done right the first time!
