I echo the reviews about the owner being horridly rude. It’s a shame that I have spent my money at this store over the years. I hadn’t ever seen the owner’s true character come out until recently, and he can be quite abusive to customers at the drop of a hat.

I would not support this Ace Hardware. The owner is extremely rude. My charity called in the day prior and the nice manager told us they could make a chartable contribution to an upcoming event we were holding and when we came in the next day the owner met us with an awful attitude and basically chased us out of the store. As soon as he started getting mean, we just thanked him for his time and left to which he followed us out of the store. I know some people don’t like supporting charities but he was awful. Just a horrid person and I would never want to support that type of business.

The owner is extremely rude. I have purchased all of my flowers and hanging baskets from this Ace Hardware for the last few years. I have spent well over one hundred dollars on plants. It amazes me how rude the owner is to his customers especially the customers in his gardening tent.

I recently went to this Ace to try and recycle latex paint. There is a charge to do this, but I wanted to do the right thing environmentally. I brought in two gallons of clearly marked Benjamin Moore exterior latex paint. The manager opened up the can and told me it was oil based paint. I told him the label clearly said latex, but he said he could tell by looking at it. Clearly, this person has no business either managing a hardware store or owning one, as I don’t know how one tells simply by opening an old can what type of paint it is. By inference, he accused me of pouring oil based paint into a latex can. Here you try to do the right thing, and someone who knows nothing about paint infers you are doing something underhanded. Ace claims to be the helpful, neighborhood hardware store — I think not.

i’d normally suggest going to a neighborhood hardware store over one of the big-boxes, but I make an exception for this Ace. Do not go here! I bought a propane torch from these guys, and the head of the torch was defective. I tried lighting it for 15 minutes, and I know what I’m doing. I’ve had 5 of these things in the past so it’s not like I’m new to these. So seeing that the product was defective, I took it back and tried to return it with my receipt. I had the packaging in perfect condition, and the employees refused to even look at it to consider for return. The owner insisted that it was ‘used’, which it was not. It was defective. He was rude and dismissive about the whole thing and refused to even enter into a conversation, let alone offer to see how he could help. Home Depot would have taken it back, no problem, no questions asked. This Ace Hardware isn’t very helpful, and the return policy is overly restrictive. When you’re doing things with hardware, it’s inevitable you might buy the wrong part or the wrong size. Good luck returning it here, because they will not take it. Save time and trouble, go somewhere else.

A fantastic family owned and operated business. A much better choice than the big box chain store a little further down the road. There is always someone on hand to assist you in finding what you need, including the owner himself. I have been a customer for years and will continue to be a customer. I believe in supporting our small local business and not the big greedy corporate giants. Well done Tony and staff!!!

I recently moved into this area and needed to find a hardware store that repairs sliding glass screen doors. A friend suggested I check out this Ace Hardware store so I went there last Saturday. I have to say that I was really surprised by not only the size of the store but also by how busy they were. Everyone was extremely helpful and the gentleman who helped me with my broken screen door could have easily told me to have it repaired for $ 140.00 and I would not have known any better. But he took the time to look up the price of a new door which was only $ 55.00. They had to order it for me because they were out of stock in the store. They told me it should be in by Thursday(today) and can you believe it that they actually called me and confirmed the door was in! Talk about great customer service! I was really surprised that they were not listed with Unilocal so I couldn’t help myself but to add them as a business.
