Decent Haitian food! I remember when this place JUSTTT opened. I was too excited because it’s around the area I live in. Lol. Staff is friendly! I also remember when I was a dollar short and the server let me rock(which was super sweet of him, because honestly… he didn’t have to). Their food is tasty! Although I haven’t been there in a while, I definitely remember how scrumptious the food was!

Decent haitian food and service. Great rice and beans and legume. Good spot for lunch or if you don’t feel like cooking. Best haitian spot in queens. No place to sit, just take oit. Food is lined up like a buffet and you select what you want. Worth checking out.

Horrible Food! My husband and I went there and we spend $ 39.50 and every cent was a waste ! The fried plantains and Akra was completely inetable!!. It was very stale and tasted like old oil. We had to toss it in the garbage. The Mac and cheese was bland, old, stiff and tasted like only black pepper. No flavor. The chicken tastes like vinegar and lemon with no other seasoning. It was awful! The rice and beans was sticky and mushy. I’ve been to many Haitian restaurants and this is by far the worst one ever !!! Please do not support them and waste your money. I will take this loss and a huge lesson !

Feening for Haitian food while in Queens. After searching Unilocal,we decided on Creole Plate. Upon walking in I notice the interior is quite small with only 4 bar stools to sit & dine in. We chose to dine in. The two older male employees were sweet. We ordered rice & peas, legume, & griot which came with complimentary fried plantain & sweet potato. To be honest, the food was a little bland, but I still enjoyed it. My dad’s family has some BOMB chefs so my view is bias. However $ 19 for a crazy amount of food that stuffed two people with leftovers… You cant beat that!!! I would return! Happy Unilocaling!

I eat at this place all the time. Love their food. Since I work directly across the street I’m here all the time for lunch. The patties are to die for, the grio is the best I’ve ever had, the bullion is a must have and the black rice… lord have mercy the black rice will make me kill anyone who tries to stand between me and that rice. If you’re in the neighborhood and want a quick hot lunch that’s reasonably price THECREOLEPLATE is the place for you. Trusty me you will not be disappointed.

worse place ever… I told the guy that was serving the food that I do not eat meat and what they had without meat; said the had legume. I skeptical and questioned him more than once, you sure it has no meat; he says I am sure. i said wasn’t cooked with meat. he says no, i found it hard to believe but i went ahead and ordered because I know in Miami at this one Haitian restaurant you could order vegetarian legume made to order no meat… Anyways, I got home ate some of the legume, got so sick, I had left over the next day, I was going to eat and Bam it was meat all at the bottom. My husband is the only reason why I did not go there, call or sue their asses.
