NO. No. No. $ 14 hamburger that is maybe 2 oz meat. the meat to bread ratio is laughable, and the hocky-puck patty was just awful. the two servers bumb into eachother and I watched my burger sit on the service area for 3 – 4 minutes with each of them looking at it and passing by. The bar is nice, and if you’re hungry — there’s that pizza place right next door that makes sandwhiches and pre-packed salads that far exceed anything here. My husband and I split a mushroom cheddar burger here and he ate all the meat with the first bite, which was fine with me becasue he seemed to struggle to chew and swallow it. It almost ruined burgers for us… luckily upon our arrival in Ft. Lauderdale — we found a good burger to reestablish our faith in burgers. Beside the food, it is a nice litle area to sit and be comfy waiting for a flight. Order fries — you cant really go wrong there.

According to the CSRs at Southwest, this is the best restaurant at the airport. If you’re hankering for food, all I can say is, let’s wait until we get to our destination… To be honest if you come for a drink then you’ll be happy. The bartender is great. Efficient, happy, a joy to be around. That’s the reason to go to Lighthouse. The food is not. Reportedly nachos are the best thing on the menu. Oddly the chicken tortilla soup had no tortillas. Good luck if you venture into the menu…

How does a glass of house red wine and a pumpkin ale cost $ 19? You’re in McCarthur Airport not Manhattan.
