Just not a fan of this place. Other than the view, they don’t have much going for it. I was also annoyed by very slow service, and one worker who was very rude to my mother. It was not necessary to be rude to her, she was just trying to spend money there. I also find it very funny that they posted a pic of their new rack cards on Facebook last week, that have their website listed on it, but their website is down. Maybe wait on distributing those rack cards until you get your website up. I wanted to look at the site, because they boasted some kind of «boat museum» there. Yeah, it was like a random boat in a room that would much rather have a pool table in it. And with no food, I just can’t imagine why I would ever go here again.

Great place with very good beer selection. Carries local brews and from the region. The staff was always extremely friendly. We had a great time and had to go back and check out the live music.

Felt lukewarm in this expansive outdoor beer garden. Wasn’t crowded, which was nice, but also left the place feeling a bit flat. Very friendly staff. It’s in a set of buildings that are used for a crafter’s market paradise — but the craft fair isn’t open on Sundays. It has an Amish feel. Which is kind of weird when drinking the beer. They had a number of Finger Lakes brews on draft, including Climbing Bines, Keuka, Abandon, etc. It was nice. I don’t have anything too exciting to say about the Boathouse except that it’s a welcome change to the numerous wines on Cayuga. It may have more pizazz on Saturdays.

AVOIDTHISPLACE! I wanted to confirm what Chuck R. is saying as I was with him during the horrible experience with the crazy bartender. I told the owner I did not appreciate being flipped the bird and told my business was not welcome there. He was completely indifferent!!! I could tell she was not worried in the least that the owner was there and aware of her behavior. This is no way to run a business! That bartender should be fired.

Hey Peter, I see your mother is still attempting to bartend and it is not working! I have experienced the same treatment the second time we came and decided we would not come back but after reading your latest review are you going to fix this or just continue to allow the TERRIBLE customer service? Word travels fast in this area. I wish you luck if this continues.

Ya Like Beer? Don’t come here… Well, we had high hopes going here. My buddy and I came out to do some tasting and were hoping to taste some good NYS beers. The beer list was decent and prices were typical. There weren’t any real standouts(with the exception of Abandon’s Saison) and I was kind of surprised to see so many non-NYS beers on the list. Anyway, when we went to purchase a couple growlers to take home, things got completely crazy. First of all, they charge an extra dollar if you bring your own growler. I know this happens in some places, but I’ve never seen it anywhere in NYS. Who wants to keep buying glass jugs all the time? That was the least of our issues. What happenend next was simply unreal. We waited a good 10 minutes with the growlers on the bar and basically no other customers. The woman tending bar was actually drying and polishing glasses and blatantly ignoring us. Finally, she felt compelled to ask if we wanted to fill the jugs. I asked for a growler of Brooklyn’s Summer ale and she obliged. However, she filled the growler only about 2⁄3 of the way(just to the point where the jug begins to taper) and came over with it and exclaimed«That’s all your getting, I can’t get anymore in there». I seriously wondered if she had ever filled a growler before. I told her that it was supposed to be filled all the way to the top and she replied that there was no way she was even going to try. I told her that I wasn’t going to pay full price for a half full growler and she went from Zero to One Hundred in three seconds flat and actually Grabbed the growler off the bar and stuck it behind and said«Well then that’s my growler now» and refused to either empty it and return it or finish filling it and then actually walked away and hid in the back room. At that point, another bartender came over(he was actually very professional) and asked what the problem was. I said«She refused to fill the growler all the way» and he said«Well, then let’s fill them up» and the look on his face told me that he has been dealing with this woman and knew she was nuts.(the crazy lady actually tried to tell him it wasn’t possible to fill it anymore and he just ignored her) He took the growler and filled it up to the top as it should be(with no difficulty) and asked if I wanted anything else. I told him I had a bad taste left from the other woman’s attitude and that I didn’t want to buy another. He said«well she’s not here now so if you want one, I’ll fill it properly» and so I conceded and said OK, gimme the other fill. After the purchase, the crazy lady came back and began lecturing me about How I Don’t Know How To Treat A Bartender!!! She whined about«Serving Me All Day»(we were there just over 2 hours, I had 3 beers, each poured by a different bartender, she poured ONE of those). She then launched into a tirade about Not Wanting my business, Not Wanting customers like me and Not Wanting us to return which I had no problem promising would be the case. As she walked away, she actually Flipped Me Her Middle Finger!!!(I actually think the true cause of her attitude was in her overhearing my friend and I talking about how happy we were that marriage equality had passed the day before, but I can’t say that for sure. but it sure fits). We then proceeded to tell the owner about her obnoxious behavior and he didn’t even blink. He simply walked away without making a comment or even acknowledging anything. He never approached her and she seemed to expect that. We also witnessed the same woman tipping out the other bartenders by taking the tip money off to the side and saying«I’ll give her $ 20» and basically pocketing the rest. She truly has no fear of what her actions may bring about. Long story short, I’ll never go back there. This was absolutely the Rudest Customer experience I’ve ever had in my life. That bartender lady is a complete whacko and I would highly advise they remove her before she drives the rest of the patrons away.

Glad someone put this great location to good use! Mostly regional selection of beer, friendly staff. Nice roomy space with lots of outdoor seating and a beautiful view. Feels much more laid back compared to the wineries, although there were no buses or limos when I stopped in. There are some«munchies» listed on a chalkboard– didn’t look very inspired but better than nothing and they did just open, so we’ll see if something changes. Looks like they are going to have some live music soon, I imagine it will be a fun venue. Will update review after more visits, I already know we will be stopping in again!
