Hayes is honest, genuine and friendly. It really has a family operated atmosphere as «grandma» made sure my concerns were addressed. There was no hassle or haggling and the technicians were kind and soft spoken. My service was done promptly and the people there made me aware of regular maintenance items coming up without trying to sell me on getting them performed now. Also, I was pleasantly surprised that they offered a military discount. Just good people all around and a small business that deserves praise. I don’t write reviews often but when I meet genuine people, I want them to be recognized for being great. Be at ease when going to Hayes.

We had our van towed to Hayes Service on Thursday afternoon after the power steering went out. They had our vehicle repaired 22 hours later and the repair cost was reasonable. The van required 4 clamps to be replaced on the hoses. Hayes has a good reputation in this area and I will take me vehicle there again. Customer service was good.

There is nothing better than knowing that your vehicle is in capable hands that are the hands of honest people. That is what you will find at Hayes Automotive. My brother and my father have been going there for years. Why? Because they always do GREAT work, and because they can be trusted.
My car broke down in the cold weather that just passed. I would have sworn it was the alternator, but it was the tensioner. Never even heard of that before! Hayes fixed it and told me exactly what had happened.
I fear that had I gone anywhere else, I would have been purchasing a new alternator too, but since the people at Hayes are honest, I only paid for what I needed!
You can’t go wrong with these folks. They are good mechanics who will get the job done right!
I base my ratings on many things, Customer Service, Integrity, quality of workmanship, and several other things, I’m pretty tough, but Hayes passes all with an A+

I had an engine light come on. i took it to this shop and they fixed the problem (oxygen sensor). The cost was reasonable. I pass the emission test. i have been doing business with them for over 15 years. a very helpful and friendly experience.

I’ve only taken my car to Hayes twice (we’re relatively new to the area), but both times have been very positive experiences. The first trip was for a simple oil change, the service was fast and friendly and the price was good.
The second visit was what set Hayes over-​the-​top for me. I had a minor accident (I hit a big chunk of metal on I-​55) and had my car towed in to Hayes to have it looked at to make sure it was okay to drive. They got me very quickly with very little notice, thoroughly inspected my car, and charged me very little.
If you live in the area I would recommend going here. Note that you do have to make an appointment for any service, including oil changes.

Crap customer service! I needed a tow and this ass named Mike answered, very rude and didn’t care about helping at all. I hung up and called Dicks towing and they were great and less money…

The BEST place to take your car in Romeoville. I’ve been going there for 10 years, they are honest and very reasonable, I’ve had nothing but excellent service from them. Excellent mechanics!!!

Very good service center. Reliable and honest. Was originally referred to them many years ago by a tow truck driver after having a bad experience with a dealership’s service. I even feel they are worth a little longer drive if you don’t have a good mechanic closer to you.
