I should’ve read all the reviews on this place before I drove across town to pick up some chicken for the family. As soon as I was about to take my first bite out of a chicken breast, I notice a LONG, DARK, HAIR that was not only in the bucket of chicken but it was clearly cooked into the chicken because when I went to pull THEHAIR off my piece of chicken, it took some of the skin with it! So flippin’ gross! I threw all of it away, money down the drain. I’m contacting Popeyes corporate and am going to highly suggest their employees wear HAIRNETS!

I very much like Popeye’s and their food. I see these other reviews on the cleanliness of the restaurant and I’ve not encountered that. Despite the numerous times I’ve dined here. Yes, the food does take time(mostly through drive through) but it’s nothing to get that bent out of shape over. My biggest complaint is the location honestly. It’s very difficult to get in and out of the parking lot. It’s right next to an incredibly busy light and as a result, it makes it difficult to pull in and out of the restaurant without cutting someone off. Overall, I would recommend it over most eating establishments on W Walnut. Will definitely go again, it is Popeye’s after all.

Such slow service… It’s pretty sad. I’ve gone through several times and each time«oh there’s a 3,4, 5, 10 min wait on that» I love Popeyes food it’s comfort food for me but the one we have here is so unorganized slow and just disappointing…

Maybe the most filthy eating establishment that I have ever encountered. Dirty tables, floors, trash overflowing, empty tea containers, dirty prep area, and other stuff. Despite there being a total of six customers in dining area. My son found a body hair in his chicken. Meanwhile, four employees sat on their break among this filth while three others struggled just to get orders out. It was a mess and I hope we don’t pay a price tomorrow. Never again! Really considering calling County Health Department.

Updating my previous review. The chicken is still delicious but the pieces seem to be getting smaller and smaller. The last few times the chicken is more the size of Cornish game hens!!!

I was very disappointed! I asked for white meat chicken and was assured that a chicken breast would be part of that dinner. I would have ordered a breast in addition to the dinner. There was no breast, as was assured. It had one back and two wings. When the manager was called, he stated that a breast was not included in the 3-piece meal. Hmm-mm… He simply instructed me to order differently the next time. This is not acceptable! They have good chicken, but failure to follow through on an error is not acceptable. Poor representation of the company by the manager. Must we examine the meal prior to acceptance? Not appropriate. Coupon for our next meal? I would have been satisfied. Loss of customer over less than $ 6.00!

The majority of the people working there are high school age, so you pretty much know what to expect as far as service goes. The biscuits and mashed potatoes and gravy are excellent, and the chicken is above average for a fast food place. Despite the excellent food, I will not be back here again. The people working there have some of the worst attitudes I’ve ever seen in the service industry.

Oh, Popeye’s. You’re so delicious with your battered and deep fried goodness. I just wish you were healthier. There has to be some better way of getting all that yumminess into you without all that grease. Sadly, there isn’t and that’s why Popeye’s Chicken and Biscuits for me is a rare treat. Drive through or eat-in, this location serves up a nice plate of chicken for a reasonable price. For $ 8, you can get two nice pieces of chicken, a biscuit, a side and a tall cup of sweeeeeeet tea. A deal. I prefer the cole slaw to at least send a nod to healthy eating, but you might prefer the Cajun Battered Fries with your coronary. Very busy at lunch time, you may want to have your friend save the table while you place your order. Also, consider hitting and checking for a coupon before heading over.
