Their new phone department is terrible. The store staff(as well as online) have no idea what they are doing. And when they give you wrong information all you get is… oh well. No stock of Verizon phones… and uncaring staff. Best buy has lost my business… wouldn’t purchase a battery here! UPDATE: went to store in december 2014 to purchase new TV. Waited 30 minutes for a rep, couldn’t find one. Asked and was told someone would help me… found another customer been waiting 45 minutes! Left and went elsewhere. emailed corporate letting them know and got NORESPONSE. Called May 2015 for help with smartphone… first lady transfers me to KENTUCKY store. Call back, 7 minutes on hold… rep comes on — HOLDPLEASE. 12 minutes get a couple transfers and now different hold music. this store needs to be SHUTDOWN.

Been her a handful of times since moving here. Mostly because of problems with my phone, so I dealt with geek squad. They have always been nice and helpful. However, last time I went to pick up my phone I dealt with a very friendly and helpful guy. I was there for over an hour since there were some complications with my phone being transferred to the new one. At the end he sent me over to the mobile area for them to correctly activate my phone — which In the past Geek Squad has always done. I’m very patient and it was fine, but he could’ve done it. I think he was new to the Geek Squad, so I understand that, but still. Last time my husband and I went to the mobile area to discuss phone and plan options. We did not leave with a different plan since we have more thinking to do, but John in mobile was so helpful and awesome.

Went here last night to pick up a few accessories and everything was in stock and easy to find. It a bit to check out because the employee was busy. But overall I happy with my visit.

I needed a charger for my iPhone 5(forgot mine at the house up north), so I swung in to buy both a car charger and a wall charger. Found what I needed, checked-out quickly and easily. Not much more to say, other than to ask how in the world can 2 chargers and a cord cost $ 76? Crikey.

I’d actually rate this place zero stars. Tried to buy a laptop this past Sunday from there and we went to check out and the best buy worker, working the customer service desk told us we could only check out with the geek squad. The geek squad was busy fixing computers, or at least assessing the damage of the computers, one at a time in the line of about 7 people. Meanwhile, the ‘best buy’ guy was doing nothing but barking orders to customers(me) and not willing to swipe my card for 500 bucks for the computer. Absolutely ridiculous, so we bought a laptop from Walmart. This is the second time best buy ha disappointed.

Why would anyone shop here anymore? Best Buy has become the place I go to try things out before I buy them at Amazon. Their black Friday prep was some of the worst in Northwest Arkansas, their return policy sucks, and they are not knowledgable. I went there I check out cases for an iPad I bought my wife. The guy approached me and asked if I needed help(unheard of at Walmart), then told me that I would never find the case cheaper then 89.00. I scanned the barcode with my amazon app and it was 49.99… Regular price. Bought a Wii game on marked at 15 but scanned as 20. Returned I late when Walmart had it at 10 $… Regular price The real difference was when I went to return two gifts that were defective, but opened. They told me that they wouldn’t take it back without a receipt… for a defective product that was a gift. I didn’t care about getting my money back, I would have taken store credit or even a soda since the pieces of junk were useless to me. I felt like Mad Men’s character«Campbell» from Mad Men when he gets hassled for a receipt and he keeps telling them it was a wedding gift and he didn’t have the receipt. That show is based in the middle of the 20th century, and retail customer service(minus Best Buy) has come a long way in the last few decades. I am not sure why I would ever buy anything at Best Buy again when there is Walmart and Amazon.

Consistently Best Buy, these big boxes are exactly alike throughout the country. Large selection of retail priced DVD’s and games, game consoles, consumer electronics, computers and some computer accessories, home electronics, and small and large kitchen appliances. Staff isn’t too hard to find when you’re looking for assistance and they are usually knowledgeable to an extent. Then there’s the geek squad, many of which are capable of fixing most computer problems. I find Best Buy’s prices are a little on the high side, but they do have an excellent offering of products that is unmatched. But you can usually find the stuff cheaper elsewhere.
