When you walk in the place shows its age with stuff all over. The man working the counter was talkative which is ok. What i didnt like was he was complaining about a customer who just walked out unhappy. To a man who is coming in for the first time. This is something you never do. The 2 egg sandwichs i got were ok and made write. I would have giving 3 stars but not being professional as a business owner turned me off.

Nice guy. Good food. Went in on new years day and the owner was so nice. Gave us samples of his wings. They were delicious and I am not a spicy kind of lover. They had a nice zing but not a burning sense. Joe had a pastrami hero on garlic bread and I had a roast beef. Both quite good. I would recommend.

There is nowhere to eat in this establishment. Instead of providing a table or two for their customers, they choose to occupy this space with cheesy prize machines. So you’re either forced to eat standing at the coffee station or on the bench outside(which sucks in the winter!) Also the sandwiches aren’t very good– chicken parm tasted very fried and salty with barely any sauce.

Good size hero, Subway charges you double for $ 10, while at Campus $ 8 you a giant monster sandwich.

Today was the second time I tried to eat at this place and they messed up each sandwich order again! The staff is incompetent and wouldn’t fix my order. I’ll never go there again. Their bread is tough, they are stingy with the meat, and I refuse to leave an establishment with food I didn’t order. SE Port Deli and Corner Heroes are super in every way. They have never once written down my order but they always get my order right! Unlike this place who’s incompetent staff simply said, «we’ll get your order right next time I come.» No… you’ll get no third chance from me! I’ll take great food and good customer service over a convenient location any day of the week.

I don’t want to trash Campus Heroes(I do get a hero once a month or so) but there, definitely, is need for improvement. My family owned a sub(hero) shop years ago out west so i do know a little bit about the topic. What makes a great hero is the bread — every place uses the same meats and cheeses and toppings but it’s the bread that makes it. Campus stuffs each sandwich with plenty of ingredients but the bread itself has too hard of a crust. It’s a battle getting thru the crust which pushes the ingredients out. They should be baking their own soft crust bread to stand out from the other delis. Also, need to quit using the microwave to heat up the hot sandwiches. We used to place hot sandwiches(IE hot pastrami and swiss) in a steamer bread and all. Made for a fantastic sandwich. Campus needs more prepared«tasty» salads. The staff, more often than not, isn’t the most friendliest. I will go to Campus instead of Subway any day of the week. Brugmans has more specialty dishes to go along with their sandwich choices. All depends on my route of travel where I go if I’m in the mood for a hero. Softer bread and more salads… that’s my recommendation. The parking. well, not exactly inviting seeing huge trucks right next to their building acting as walls. Helped when town added street parking spots.

This place is nothing more than overpriced grease buns served to you by the most incompetent staff possible. It’s a guarantee if I walk into this place I WILL have an awful time. I’ve went there multiple times and every time I go into this place I end up having to walk back in there to tell the bumbling idiot behind the counter he messed up AGAIN. Don’t waste your time here!

I’ve never been a «hero» fan… at all! But my fiancé DRAGGED me to this place kicking and screaming over a year ago… And I must confess now, I’m won over! I really don’t know exactly what won me over? The bread? The cold cuts? The combos? I’m really at a loss… not usually like me to not be able to articulate what I love and what I don’t, but this place has me a «hero» lover. I call them subs where I’m from… hence all the«» marks

They makes awesome sandwiches! Not just the ones on the menu but ones you make yourself. Certain people don’t make the sandwich packed full of food tho, you’ll know which ones after going awhile. They also use belly cards(which I don’t use or know much about)

The sandwiches here are delicious and unique! My favorite is the Skywalker and the new Rocky Pointer. You can’t go wrong with any of the specialty sandwiches. So good, inexpensive, friendly staff, and they deliver!

The sandwiches are great and they are packed. You could easily order a hero and save the other half for later. However they rarely ever get your order correct. it’s difficult to even get through to place an order and the service is outrageously slow… I’ve actually stood at the counter for 15 watching the staff talk curse and bs about nothing before someone asked me if I needed help… Last time I called I said Hi can I place an order? The person on the other side said, «ummmmmmmm yeah I guess.»

Gigantic, delicious sandwiches. Buy a sandwich for lunch and save the other half for dinner. Only a couple bucks more than Subway for a way better meal!

A great staple of Long Island. Campus Special is amazing, Campus has been around for ages and is great!
