I checked in to the emergency department last night with debilitating spine pain. Being somewhat young, I was nervous that no one would take me seriously, but I made the mistake of using webmd and speaking to a 24⁄7 nurse, so I was convinced that I was going to expire within the hour. I had no choice. Off I went. To my surprise, I was greeted by the sweetest lady and immediately taken back to a treatment room. Shortly after, 2 male nurses walked in and quickly mended my nerves with their humor. The doctor was equally pleasant, so even though there was quite a lot of waiting for results, I didn’t even mind. They were thorough, compassionate and funny. I left feeling better, and I left informed. I have been riddled with health issues and I have seen way too many hospitals, and this surpassed every one I’ve been to. Thank you all for taking great care of me.
