My company moved to Gude Drive. Not much around for lunch spots besides Bean Bag. After reviewing places in Unilocal,I decided to try Gude Deli, to find better value meals. Yes, this place is not the prettiest and it is in a convenience store. For the money and portion size, this place is a great value. Tired of spending $ 12-$ 14 for lunch at other sandwich shops, you can get various hot and cold sandwich/sub combos for $ 8 and daily specials including one main dish(has 3 different selections) and 2 sides for $ 6.99. They also serve breakfast till 11AM and I usually get egg and cheese sandwich with one meat for $ 2.99. They do have several tables where you can eat but I usually do take out.

Eh… the best trait of the breakfast sandwich was it’s size. Otherwise it was your run of the mill breakfast bagel. Of course what would you expect from the food inside a beer/convenience store?

I went there for the first time today because I always see it and I’ve never been there. I work around here and I’m always looking to go somewhere for lunch. This is right across from the Liberty gas station of E. Gude and behind where Arirang and Wachovia Bank is(I think it’s wachovia). It’s actually a beer and deli store. It has a dining area and cafeteria style deli. This store is Korean owned(surprised?) and everyone’s pretty nice. I went in there only expecting subs and sandwiches but they had a hot meal displayed in their showcase. They had fries, mac & cheese, fried chicken, hot dogs, and various other hot and fried foods. On their menu, I noticed they had a gyro, italian cold cut, reuben, cheeseburgers, and more. They also had a lot of combo meals for a reasonable price. I ordered the italian cold cut and just got a Nantucket Nectar drink(total $ 7.70). I asked for lettuce, tomatoes, onion, hot peppers, mayo and oil/vinegar. There was wayyyyyyy too much mayo and not enough LTO on there. My sandwich was falling apart because of the mayo drench. There was too much meat clustered together and wasn’t all that great for me. I did see a lot of people get food from the showcase, which I’m tempted to try next time. I really like mac & cheese and their fries looked delish, so we’ll see! I do like that they have a dining area so you could sit and eat your breakfast/lunch there. I think I even saw a t. v in there. **Update 8/3/11** I came here for breakfast yesterday and ordered a Bacon Egg & Cheese(provologne) with tomatoes on wheat bread. The breakfast was a great start to my morning. I got to my office and it was still hot, fresh and fulfilling. I got a side of hot peppers and that just made the whole sandwich. nom nom noommmm

Had a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich, and home fries. We happened upon this place on our way to a meeting with a customer. It was busy and smelled awesome. Nothing to gawk at but the food was good.
