I appreciated the thoroughness and responsiveness of this company, in addition to the stunning job they did on repolishing my family’s silver.

Chevy Chase Plating demonstrates shocking techniques on how to polish silver here: . I can say this with absolute certainty because I’m a professional silver conservator(my credentials: ). You can read exactly why I dispute his claims by reading my Silver Care Guide at .

I’m glad I didn’t see these reviews or it would have deterred me from ever using their services. My experience has been very positive. I’ve had 2 jobs done here and they were great… I had 18 brass pulls dipped in sterling silver and then lacquer for 2 dorothy draper chests and they were perfect. The older gentleman that owns the place even found a matching finial as I only had 17 and needed one more — that wasn’t easy, given they were made in 1950. I also had 5 round pulls done the same way on a 60’s Drexel sideboard and those are gorgeous as well. It is costly to use sterling and it takes a few weeks but I am very contented knowing I have them as a resource.

I wish I had read the reviews before dropping a couple of pitchers for silver plating!!! It has been months since they were supposed to be ready and so far every time I call I get nothing except a rude attitude. I have filed a consumer complaint with the Maryland Attorney General as this guy is flat out lying to and taking advantage of its customers. Please stay away!

Worst experience ever. Repeatedly missed promised delivery dates on a $ 1,000+ order. I brought in a multi-piece order for refinishing and/or polishing, including an old, family heirloom sterling container with a beautiful gold-wash interior. Gold wash was destroyed in the process and worse, the owner at first tried to deny it ever existed, until I pointed out that we specifically discussed it when I brought it in. Absolutely no acknowledgement of error or poor workmanship, let alone any offer of compensation. We won’t be back.
