This is a great place to donate blood/​platelets/​plasma etc. The staff are very nice and welcoming. Also the waiting area has nice couches to sit on while you wait. They are usually staffed fairly well so that the wait time is not too long if you have an appointment. For those frequent donors, you know how long the whole process is from registration to medical history to donation to recovery so give yourself ample time as with any other donation. If it is your first time donating, express that to the staff, they will pay extra attention to you to make sure that you are comfortable and that they answer any lingering questions you may have. There are tv’s at every donation station with headphones so you can keep your mind occupied. There is free wifi for all donors and of course free snacks afterwards.
Tip: 1. Make an appointment beforehand to expedite the process.
2. Also the parking lot is NOT free. You must pay for a parking ticket at a machine and display that pass however, if you bring in your parking pass ticket to the front desk in the blood center, they will reimburse the money you used to pay for parking. Also, if they see that your ticket is about to expire, they will personally go and feed the meter so that you do not get a parking ticket. So thoughtful!
