This is one good bbq place. Ordered the meal with 1lb beef brisket, 1lb ribs, mac n cheese, potatoe salad, beans with bacon. The food was excellent. The biscuits were great and I loved everything but the potatoe salad. It wasn’t bad, just not my cup of tea. I am not used to beef brisket being shredded but it was really good so I didnt mind. The service was pretty good too, although we took it as carryout. They have pots with bbq sauce and the hot and spicy was great. We went with a LivingSocial voucher but I def will be going back.

A lot of the prior reviews are very accurate when I think about my visit today. 1. My order was wrong twice. I mentioned while paying«did you charge me for the ribs?» answer«No». Then food is served sliced brisket is shredded. They might call it chopped but it was shredded. Any time you can serve brisket in cotton ball size strands it’s well beyond«chopped» 2. The BBQ sauce is great but served very sparingly. This was one of the first BBQ places I’ve ever been to that hides their sauce. Most places have it on the table or serve it heavy on the side. This place must keep the sauce under lock and key. Food would have been so much better with some more sauce, but I wasn’t gonna beg for it. 3. The BBQ beans were bland and tasteless. Bottom line, Food wasn’t terrible but it isn’t worth going back for.

They close early. Not much of a selection.

Dickey’s would get a 5 star review if order accuracy improved. Both times, my order was either incorrect or partially missing. Otherwise, the food itself is clutch. It’s hard to find good BBQ in downstate NY, so this place is a treasure. It’s awkwardly located in the Best Western hotel, so if I hadn’t received a menu in the mail, I wouldn’t have even bothered trying it, but glad we did. Everything is great, especially the pulled pork and polish sausage. It’s the only place around here that I can get fried okra exactly the way Cracker Barrel makes it! In fact, I’ve been really happy with every side I’ve tried here — the mac & cheese and potato casserole is excellent. Yeah, I love Dickey’s.

I was very happy with the food, better than expected. I had the two meat plate with pulled pork and chopped brisket. Both were moist and not dry at all, the sauce was good and the sides were fine — beans and the salad. It was clean and he service was friendly and fast — I would eat here again.

We had a coupon and had passed Dickeys a million times so we finally decided to try it. The place was empty when we went in, but everything looked new, bright and clean. Its a large space, connected to the hotel shared with a bar area. The girl behind the counter was very nice, helpful and patient while we stared and asked about our choices. I got the pulled pork platter, yummy. They didn’t overload it with sauce and it was not dry! I think they used rub and the flavor was not overwhelming. My fiancé got pork and cheddar sausage, and mom got ribs and chicken breast. Everyone loved what they got and the sides were extra yummy too! Mac and cheese, and potato casserole. Cheesy goodness.(see pics) Although I usually despise chain restaurants, there is only one Dickeys on Long Island and not too many BBQ places in the area. When I asked the girl behind the counter, you deliver? She said Yes. I said where? She said anywhere, really! I said we just moved to West Hempstead, you will go over there? She said yes of course. Score!!!

This place has great food, reasonable prices, a pleasant staff and it is clean and comfortable. I love the smokehouse salad that comes with chopped brisket and fried onion tanglers on top. I have eaten this many times and each time the greens are fresh and delicious and the meat is moist and flavorful. I have also tried the ribs which are great and the pulled pork which is also very good. The baked potato casserole is yummy as is the mac & cheese. My kids love this place too and the free pickles and vanilla soft serve ice cream are a big hit with them. I live in the area and I have not seen any advertising for this place. I am wondering if anyone knows it is here. Great food, good prices big portions — I am thinking this place should be packed. They also recently opened what appears to be a full bar. There are TVs around the dining areas so you don’t miss your game while you eat. I have been wanting to try the chicken and turkey but I love that salad so much I order it every time!!!

Just came back from«dickey“s BBQ pit» I have to admit i was skeptical, but i did have a coupon for 2 free sandwiches… so i figured, lets give it a shot. 1. its located right on sunrise highway and is actually connected to a hotel… yes a hotel.(hmm…i don’t know about this) 2. walk in… this is a pretty cool looking place… nice, clean 3. the order… — i ordered the pulled pork sandwich(hoping its not TOO dry) waffle fries — my gf ordered brisket sandwich(again.please don’t be TOO dry) jalapeño beans. –for my 18 month old… marinated chicken breast and mac&cheese. i was very surprised to taste the food(both sandwiches) and find out that it was moist… definitely not dry at all! what a surprise! and its tasty! bbq sauce was good, spicy BBQ sauce was also good.def. left a tingle in my mouth. waffle fries were actually not greasy, seemed like they might be freshly made…(possible?) jalapeño beans were good, enjoyed that. tasted some of my daughters food, chicken was moist and tasty, she loved it. mac& cheese was good, def not from a box taste and to top it all off… free vanilla ice cream from a soft-serve machine… ok this cant be good can it? well… maybe it was the 100 degree weather today, but the ice cream was good… no complaints here! all in all a good experience, staff was helpful and friendly. was weird-ed out by it being inside of a hotel(u can actually see guests swimming in the hotel pool) but i would def come back here… maybe try the ribs this time.
