Precision Optometry

Thanks to Unilocal,I found Dr. Geri Brooks. My husband and I previously went to another optometrist in our area, but we’re disappointed with the service. Dr. Brooks spotted my developing cataracts and I am now having that under observation. The prescription glasses she fitted for me and my husband were spot on!
Recently, I went back to have distance sunglasses made for driving. The optician who attended to me suggested that I get polarized lenses for sharper vision. When I received the driving sunglasses, I found that the vision was waaaay too sharp. The optician again checked the prescription, etc and suggested that I try it out for a while and bring it back if it was uncomfortable.
I tried them out, but after driving for about 15 minutes with them, I had to stop because I felt like throwing up. Back to Precision and after more discussion and measurements, the optician zeroed in on the polarized lens. We agreed that she would replace them with regular lenses.
Yesterday, I went back to try on my un-​polarized glasses. They are much better! Dr. Brooks personally attended to me. Thank goodness, because I asked if I could the cost of the polarized lenses deducted from my payment and she gladly returned the amount to my credit card!
I love that they are open until 7pm on Mondays. The ladies like Debbie make appointment-​setting so stress-​free. Plus, everyone is truly patient-​oriented. Their prices are very reasonable. No wonder they are very popular! Their location is convenient too. Right by Safeway with lots of parking.

I drive all the way from Chico to be seen here because of how excellent Dr. Brooks is… I never could quite get my glasses right my whole life as each eye is different so I went without and didn’t think my eyes were that bad… after going to someone else for night vision glasses only I found precision optometry on Unilocal and scheduled an appointment with dr.Brooks. I had no clue how bad my eyes were and how helpful driving glasses would be for day and night until I got prescribed a perfect prescription. Last year I returned to inquire about contacts for all the time but was sceptical due to another doctor attempting to fit my different eyes with them years ago with nothing but blurry results. Dr. Brooks gives the most careful and thorough exams and does not miss a thing… her attention to details far surpasses any other optometrist or medical doctor I have been to for anything and she was able to find an updated precription for my eyes that worsened and they patiently taught me how to correctly put in and care for contact lenses and let me try them before deciding. For the first time in my life contacts made my vision improve and I never experienced blurry vision like I had before due to my left eye requiring a significantly stronger prescription than the right eye. Dr. Brooks was also honest in stating contacts were not a guarantee as I had lasik previously which changes the eye surface. Luckily, they ended up working great and she picked out a great brand that is comfortable to wear and affordable. .if you want the best eye care and diagnosis possible, I honestly can’t think of anyone that even comes close to being as meticulous and skilled as Dr. Brooks… she truly knows what she is doing and takes the time to make sure things are perfect

Debbie was very nice helping me fix my glasses. I didn’t even get them here and she was receptive to my needs and stopped what she was doing in order to help me. Now that is customer service. I would consider this place next time I need glasses or any exam

This is the best optometrist office you will find in the Rocklin area. Dr. Brooks is wonderful and has been great with my kids, especially my teens and their daily contact lenses. I get my contacts and glasses here and to me the price is no different than others I’ve been to around here. They work with lots of different vision insurances too. I appreciate that she has Saturday hours in case we can’t come in during the busy school week. I highly recommend this office!

Hubby and I just had exams. Loved Dr, staff, office and they have decent glasses options.

Dr Brooks is wonderful. I woke up on a Sunday with a severe eye infection and was able to text her cell phone. She met me within half an hour and got me all taken care of. I can’t even explain how grateful I am!!! My whole family of six goes to her and as long as she is in business, I won’t go anywhere else!

Never been to the eye doctor before and when I went to see Dr. Brooks she made me feel so comfortable and relaxed. Very knowledgeable and personable. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone!

After I posted my past experience, Dr Brooke, did not hesitate to make it right and I thought that she have an extra ordinary business ethics. I’m very impressed

I have had blepharitis for many years and Dr. Brooks was the first person to tell me what it is… and then she gave me the right medicine to keep it at bay. I went all winter this year without the flakey skin under my eyes. That stuff stings when I use it, but it works! Thank you Dr. Brooks.

Dr. Brooks and the staff are excellent. I highly recommend them for eye treatment.

Do not go here. My husband and I have been going to another eye doctor near by for the last 10 years but wanted to try somewhere close to home. The over charge for co pay. Beware. Update, I am not a customer but my husband was.

Believe the hype – they earn 5 stars! Look no further! These ladies do a fantastic job. Dr Brooks tweeked my mono-​vision contact prescription I had worn for 3 years and got it JUST right. Sure they have a nice office and selection of frames. What really completes makes this place is the staff who are very polite, professional, experienced, and knowledgeable – I worked with both Debbie and Margo and had a great time with both. My entire family now goes here now!

I love this place! These ladies are super nice and so very helpful. This place knows their stuff and provides the best service. I only go here for my eye care needs! Good selection of glasses as well. Give them a try you won’t be sorry…

My husband and I recently visited Precision Optometry for the first time and everything from making an appointment to chosing glasses was a very pleasant experience.
Dr.Brooks, Margo and Debbie were all awesome. We definitely recommend this office.

Dr. Brooks is an informative, friendly, and helpful doctor, looking out for the patient and offering advice on things you can do for your vision you may not have considered. The exams she performs are professional, yet relaxed and comfortable, and expedient.
Margo, the optics specialist, is very knowledgeable and helpful and was great to work with to figure out which lenses, frames, and features were appropriate and within budget.
Overall I highly recommend this office. I have seen many optometrists over the years as a lifelong person with vision correction needs of age 30, and few meet the wonderful experience Precision Optometry provides.

I stumbled across this place by accident. I have been calling around trying to find a place my insurance would cover since they were no help in providing me a list of places that I could choose from. All the eye places prior to this one had no clue what I was talking about and were not help at all. Feeling hopeless I decided to call this place anyway and finally someone was able to help me here. My search was over, they accept the eye insurance I have! I got an appointment within two hours of calling! I had my three kids with me, since I didn’t have much time to plan for a sitter. They were very accommodating. They had toys for them to play with and kept an eye on them while I took my exam. I felt like the exam was the most thorough eye exam I had ever had before. I’ve been doing this for over 10 years so I know a good eye exam when I have one. And I promise this place is well deserving of their 5 star rating! Can’t wait to return and bring my whole family here for their eye care as well.
UPDATE: Another huge bonus for me was the doctor noticed something I had tried to have my daughter seen for when she was two but was told I was a paranoid first time mom. I noticed she would go a little cross eye when she watched tv which raised some concern for me. The eye doctor I had examine her at the time didn’t seem to think it was an issue and made me feel crazy for thinking it was. Fast forward 7 years, this doctor asked me if I ever noticed her eyes going cross eyed when trying to focus. I told her this story and she assured me that I was 100% right. My daughters eye muscles were weak and she probably should have been wearing glasses all of these years to strengthen them! I can not recommend this place enough!!!

My experience with Precision Optometry was wonderful. I do have to mention that I had to wait a little longer than I would have liked. My appointment was late in the day though so I wasn’t too surprised they were running a little behind. The wait was SO worth it though. I’ve been to a number of different optometrist and Dr. Brooks is the first to pay attention to me when I responded to the «which is better, one or two?» part of the exam. When I said one option was fine with the left but not the right she immediately caught on and continued to make sure the vision corrections for both eyes were addressed. Other doctors ignored this after telling them from the start that I had different focus issues in each eye. So nice! She took her time, explained everything she did, was gentle and thorough.
She went over my options regarding contacts, making everything clear so I could make an informed decision about them. She spent time with me over lens options, not making me feel rush even though I was probably the last patient of the day, and asked several times if I had any more questions.
The office staff was very friendly and helpful. I’m terrible with names and have already forgotten the name of the lady who helped me pick frames. She was great. I wish I could remember her name to give her the kudos she deserves.
I haven’t gotten the new glasses yet but I am confident they will be far better than previous pairs.

Dr. Geri, Margo and the rest of the staff were very patient with my wife, who is elderly, and suffers from both physical disabilities and memory loss.
Their kindness and patience was much appreciated by both of us, as was their professionalism. They spent a lot of extra time during the exam to accommodate her disabilities, and did an excellent job with both the exam, and helping her select glasses and lenses appropriate for her needs.

I actually found Precision Optometry through Unilocal and all the great reviews, I am happy to say they were right. I was not disappointed. The service I received was excellent. Very friendly, personal staff. Margo was a pure delight. I was seen almost as soon as I sat down. The appointment was thorough & quick. I was given time & help finding the right pair of glasses for me. and when they arrived I received notice via text message & e-​mail that they were in. Very convenient for my lifestyle.
I had only been in once and Margo remembered my name and who I was right away.
Very pleasant experience overall. Would highly recommend it.

I’m very happy with Dr. Brooks. I have been going for a year now. I just finished by 2^nd annual eye check. I was impressed with what good records she kept. In my 2^nd year check-​up we were able to see what, if, there had been any changes in my eye site.
She took the time to explain everything she was doing during the exam. They had a good supply of frames but there was no high pressure to have to purchase a frame now.
It is nice to have a local Dr. that is there to provide good medical care to ensure you eyes and vision are protected.
