The food is always fresh, hot and wonderful. Try the specials. The service can be a little slow but the food makes up for it.

This is my aunt’s favorite breakfast place and I really wanted to give this place a better rating because the food was excellent but the service was just terrible! I was visiting my aunt and she had been raving about this place all week so I had pretty high hopes for this place. When we got there we had a seat and waited… and waited… and waited. There were about 5 tables being served so it wasn’t a particularly busy Saturday but there was only one very inefficient waitress named Jade. I overheard her tell one of the other customers that she was new so I can’t for the life of me understand why she was working by herself. About 10 mins later without even an acknowledgement I went up towards the counter to look for menus. I sat down and we picked out what we wanted and still waited. Another 10 mins later the cook from the back asked us what we’d like to drink. A few minutes later the waitress sat down our drinks and walked away. By the end of it, we had been there over half an hour before she took our orders. Even when writing down what we wanted she was painfully slow! Our food came out pretty reasonably fast (about 10 mins) and it was delicious! I got my daughter a pancake which was fluffy and light and full of flavor along with a perfectly cooked egg. My aunt got creamy grits, eggs, and sausage patties all which she of course loved and I got one of the specials: triple berry loaf French toast with sausage and I added a scrambled egg to my order. All were very good. My aunt went to pay and jokingly said «Looks like y’all could use some help around here!» All the cook said was «Sometimes we do and sometimes we don’t.» Then she told him she really enjoyed the food but was not very pleased with the service today. Rather than apologize for the service all he said was «I’m glad you enjoyed the food» It makes me sad because she was so excited to bring me here but this place has no southern hospitality or customer service skills.
