The Lunch Box Spot

Unfortunately we had a disappointing experience when we visited this small sandwich shop on Jefferson Rd in Henrietta.
We had a buy one, get one coupon so my wife and I ordered a couple medium hot subs. It was disappointing to learn that they would only honor $ 5 off may so any and all coupons this business had in circulation offering more of a discount are not valid. We felt like we were taken advantage of but figured if the food was good, our overall experience may be salvaged. This is a big issue… DO NOT advertise discounts and not honor them. That’s just deceptive advertising and no way to build a customer base.
The subs were something you could make at home, nothing unique and were completely saturated in sauce all over the roll. Add to the fact the menu on the wall is not well organized and the place was a bit dirty we would NOT recommend The Lunch Box.
Go a ½ mile down the street for a polar opposite positive experience and try the Full Belly Deli, DiBella’s or any other number of nearby quality options.

Great food and people! I go here a few times a month and have never been disappointed. I usually get a sandwich on their fresh baked bread and toppings are fresh.

The Lunch Box Spot is the home of the absolute best subs. I have been living in Rochester for over two decades and I honestly think its the best place to grab lunch in town. The Lunch Box spot hits the spot every single time with their in-​store freshly baked bread and amazing service; everyone is always smiling and asking about you.
Honestly, its like eating at home, but better.

I ordered two «specialty sandwiches» for $ 6.59 each. First was Chicken Caesar Pita. description is Romaine lettuce, romano Cheese, sliced chicken breast Caesar Dressing topped with bacon. I received a sloppy wet pita with chicken and lettuce… No Bacon and No cheese. it was served in a styrofoam package and had STALE potato chips.
The second sandwich was a Greek Chicken Wrap. sliced chicken breast, greek dressing, romaine tomatoes, onions, and feta in a wrap. offerings were wheat or white. I asked for wheat on both items. one came as wheat. the greek chicken wrap was also served in a styrofoam package and was swimming in dressing when I went to eat the wrap it fell apart from all the dressing, not to mention the mess from the dressing .Menu states that above are served with CHOICE of chips, pretzels, or baby carrots and pickle. I WAS NOT offered this choice. Pass up this place and go down the road to another «Spot» for lunch. This was so poorly done to be called The only spot for lunch is a joke.

My daughter won a free sub at the Lunch Box spot in Henrietta NY. I went there for lunch today with my 3 kids. They had pasta dinners on the menu and the kids wanted pasta so I ordered one dinner dinner for everyone to share. Any mom knows to order sauce on the side when ordering pasta for kids in a restaurant. I clearly stated more than once I wanted the SAUCE ON THE SIDE.
Pasta arrives and is covered in sauce. Kids refuse to eat it. I brought the pasta back to the woman who had taken my order and reminded her I had ordered it with sauce on the side. She tells me that the meatballs have sauce on them and I told her that was ok but I wanted pasta with no sauce and I wanted sauce on the side. No apology for screwing up.
Pasta comes back to me «he took as much sauce off as he could». No apology. No offer to make me a new meal. The woman asked me if that was ok, I said «I hope so» and took it. I was so dumbfounded that they didn’t try to fix their mistake that I didn’t know what to do.
The kids ate it and yes it was pretty good pasta. But now I am doing an extra load of laundry to get the sauce out of their clothes. I went back inside (we were eating outside) to get more napkins and told the woman that I was very disappointed. She told me she would let the owner know. Did he come to say he was sorry? NO! We sat there and ate the food and NEVER ONCE saw the owner.
The food wasn’t bad but there are plenty of other places to get that kind of food that are just as good. But I will not be doing business with someone who refuses to fix their mistakes and would rather loose a customer than an order of pasta.
