It’s like a taste of Punjab(India) every-time I come here. Tandoor has a great lunch buffets with reasonable prices, but if you really want a treat try their a la cart menu it’s fantastic! Anytime I come here I get greeted very kindly by the owner or his wife. Occasionally the cook will come out to make sure our table is doing okay, and we are enjoying our meals. This place has a large screen TV with Bollywood movies and songs playing in the background. I enjoy the quiet atmosphere and how clean everything is. My favorite thing about Indian food is the Chai, which is excellent here. I usually will know how good a place is just by trying out the Chai tea first.

Buffet is great! Always excellent choices and quality. Seriously… Try the lunch buffet. But why 3 stars Dinner… Not so good. Quality of food is fine, and I like that you can customize the heat and make dishes spicier than the lunch buffet. 1st — nice? I brought an important guest here for dinner and the waitress insulted him by chastising him for putting his bread on the tablecloth. Unacceptable. 2nd — price? They are way too proud of their dinner menu ;-). The price is disproportionate to the lunch menu and you receive much smaller portions. I wouldn’t say it’s too much, but crazy discrepancy. Lunch for our small group would have cost me $ 40, and a MUCH smaller dinner was $ 85 3rd — rice? They brought out a dish of rice for 3 people. It was quite small and they charged us to get more. Just plain tacky. It’s rice for goodness sake! The dishes also didn’t come with bread. We had to buy 2 portions of bread as well. The sauce is delicious but if you don’t buy the extra bread and rice you’ll be eating it like soup or drinking it with a straw. I’m guessing others know about the lunch/dinner discrepancy. There was only one other table there for dinner and lunch is always packed. 4 stars for lunch(maybe even 5) 2 stars for dinner 3 stars overall

Excellent Indian food! I’ve had a hard time finding good Indian food in Rochester, but this is amazing. They have a huge menu that is well priced and the portions are generous. Even though it’s in a strip mall, it has a great ambiance. I would recommend the garlic shrimp curry and biryani.

Being an Indian and seeing different type of Indian restaurants all across USA this one stood out. Food is top notch, especially Chicken Makhani aka Butter Chicken. They give huge portion for take outs. Buffet offers alot of varieties and fresh! During nightly buffet there was live entertainment and active atmosphere. This place has rare blend of «soul» food that is usuallly no-existent in indian restaurants.

The best Indian food in Rochester hands down. Not only do they have a nice establishment, they have the best people working there. They really care that your food is on point and that you enjoy it. Theowner/chef takes great pride in his food and it shows! The chicken makhani is out of this world. They also have a buffet on Tuesday nights and every day during the week lunch so that you can try different items and pick and choose what you want. We used to try to go other places that we have coupons for but nothing beats this place and we only go here now. They have a great mango custard and a variety of other drinks, you’ll find something you like. The garlic Naan I always get is full of cilantro and garlic and is cooked to a golden brown. They give very nice portions and I’m always leaving there in a food coma, with leftovers. They have the best rice too, perfect balance of carrots. I love this place! Simply awesome
