For a small city Rochester has an amazing Running community. Running Room fits right in here. Staff are so nice and helpful and never seem to rush you. They take time to have conversations and they put on a few races throughout the year(although signing up is tricky) For a small place they are stocked well with all your running needs and their sales are awesome(Nike Pegasus for $ 50, yes please!) Regular prices are reasonable too. The location is a bit odd, it’s right off Broadway but it stands alone and there are concrete barriers just before the entrance so it is a bit confusing. And about those races… there’s no way to sign up in store, which is quite odd and going to the web site is frustrating because they advertise races, but there is no link to sign up… errr, so how do I sign up? If they could update the web site and allow for in-store registration it would really make things better. Really, I would give 3 ½ stars if I could based on the difficulty of signing up and the outdated Facebook page. This isn’t a bad thing because if you are just looking for gear, or some good running talk then Running Room is fantastic place. I shall return.

Friendly Service, they helped me find my perfect running shoes. In order to make sure I loved tge shoes, I was walking up and down in the store for around half an hour and didn’t feel rushed at all. They have a member’s club that gives you rewards, which is a plus. Prices are the average for the quality of shoes they offer. And they have a great selection of other running gears. Particularly, I love their running socks section. Definitely recommend!

I checked the store hours online before I drove the 70+ miles to the store. I got there at 11 am on a Thursday to find the door locked and not even a note. My wife called the store– no answer, no message. If you’re not going to be open during stated business hours, please please let your customers know. Fortunately I found another running store over by Trader Joe’s, so my trip wasn’t a waste.

wish I had done my shopping on line. My old shoe was not inspected for wear. My foot size was not measured. The rack shoe I s=elected did not match what i was shown. Sales disinterested. Will stick with Zillo. The service I was expecting somply was not there

I just decided to start running and knew nothing about shoes. They were very helpful and knowledgable, and I’m really glad I went there.

Great selection, very competitive prices. But gets the 5-star for its customer service. They actually took the time to look at my shoes, my feet, my walk and my run, listened to my current training and plans for the next few months. My only complaint is that it’s an 8-hour drive to get here, so I’ll have to wait for the next conference in town to shop here again. They do have a web site, so maybe won’t have to wait that long. Hard to see, if you’re heading south on Broadway from downtown it’s just past the 6th street light.

I stopped in to see if they had something to carry my phone, which would also be operable mid-run. They did not, but the customer service was nice. It is a small place with few offerings, however they did seem to have a great sense of community and passion for running. I am sure they are very picky on the brands they will carry, and that is probably why they are a bit pricey. There is a community board as well as chart of classes and groups to join to help get you and keep you motivated. If you have any running needs or questions I would definitely stop by this place and check it out!(P.S. I ended up finding what I wanted at Best Buy of all places.)

Running Room has friendly service, very competitive prices, and a great selection of running shoes and apparel. I was really impressed with their selection, and they even carry some models of shoes that my local running store back home doesn’t. They also offer running clinics and group runs for people training for various races and distances. I hope there are enough runners in the Rochester area so that this store doesn’t go out of business!
