This restaurant is closed. don’t make the mistake of driving all the way down there like I did just to find a for sale sign

Nice little joint for brunch. Just accross the entrance of the seabreeze amusement park. Perfect place to wait for the park to open. The host is lovely and the food is great.

We live in the neighborhood and had seen the reviews so wanted to try it out. Somewhat disappointed. Cute place, great windows. Coffee weak, brewed iced tea tasted old. I had the signature pot roast hash. The pot roast was very tender and the dish plentiful — i brought some home — but completely bland. The potatoes had no seasoning and were not crisped at all. My Husband had the western — same deal. He never adds salt to anything and he did this. A lttle seasoning(and onion) goes a long way. Ask any chef. Also service very passive — never asked how the food was, and refill on coffee almost at the end. Regulars were given a lot of attention. Not likely to be back and I know we are in the minority.

Had the best Western Omelet ever today. Large chunks of red & green peppers, fluffy eggs, amazing!

Places like Primo’s make me wish a different rating system could be used. It’s 4 star small town diner when all things are considered, but I wouldn’t want someone to be disappointed thinking they’re getting 4 star food that is worth driving an hour for should you be in search of the best breakfast… This is a great cozy spot to get a typical diner breakfast. I feel confident their lunch and dinners are in line with this assessment. I also strongly believe if something is askew with your meal, all you need to do is mention it and the server(ours was the owner from the way she talked) will get it fixed right away. Our hostess, server, and cook was all one gal. Owner or not, she was extremely personable and made the whole experience feel like we were eating in her very welcoming home. We had a simple enough order: kids pancake with bacon($ 2.50), Continental 1 piece french toast with 2 eggs and 2 sausage links($ 5ish), and a sausage breakfast sandwich($ 3.50) with a side of hash browns($ 1.50)(all prices are based on a fuzzy memory because everything was cheap enough to not look at the prices long). The coffee was hot and didn’t call for much doctoring(I left mine black). The chocolate milk(kid’s drink of choice) was regular milk with syrup which means you can easily ask for it to be light on the chocolate if you don’t want to sugar up your kid. It also means there’s not a almost-too-old jug of chocolate milk in the back of the fridge… The order was out quick enough but apparently could’ve been quicker because the first kid’s pancake’s ear was deformed so the cook/our server made it twice. Commitment to quality at even the smallest levels. Though, a deformed Mickey pancake could freak out some younger patrons. Everything was perfect done, with my french toast topped with a light dusting of powdered sugar and cinnamon. I went with a basic breakfast because I really just wanted a basic breakfast. This doesn’t happen often, usually I want it smothered in hollandaise or stuffed with fruit or a cheese other than cheddar(or else so much cheddar it sets records). The standard fare was perfect for that morning, and it was all perfectly prepared. My family finished off their meals, and everyone was happily full. I look forward to trying out lunch and have a feeling our proximity to Primo’s will lead us here for breakfast enough times we might become regulars. Though, from the sounds of it that title might be tough to obtain here. As we were eating, another table finished up and said«See you tomorrow, Sue». It wasn’t all that surprising. If we lived within walking distance, I would probably stop grocery shopping except for special occasions(and weekday dinners, as they are only open on weekend nights).

Unable to resist the very thought of pot roast hash, we made our first trip to Primo this morning. This restaurant is one of those little gems to which you’ll want to return time and time again. Quaint atmosphere; it’s a small diner style restaurant with friendly, efficient service and ample portions. I had to bring some of that delicious pot roast home!

Quiet place could benefit from some background music. Pot roast hash was a lump of tender pot roast on a bed of home fries and topped with fried egg. Although it was delicious pot roast, I would have preferred the pot roast cut up and mixed in with the potatoes, more like a traditional hash. A few potatoes had the unpleasant crunch of underdoneness, but overall were good. A side of meat hot sauce was served cold. Full star deduction for that. My daughter really enjoyed her chicken parm sub which was served on a really fresh roll, which looked like Martuscello’s. Prices were very reasonable. Would try this place again.

My first visito to Primos. Excellent service by Sue, who also cooked my meal. The Pot Roast Hash(pictured) was nicely plated and delicious. Large, tender chunks of flavorful pot roast atop a pile of crispy outside, soft inside, and not over-salted homefries. Garnished with grated cheddar, and all of that nesting two perfectly poached eggs, and an English muffin(also perfectly toasted and buttered). I added black pepper and a splash of Frank’s hot sauce to the eggs, a touch of salt for the eggs and potatoes, then didn’t need a single thing the rest of the meal. Sue and her husband, who helps with dishwashing, were friendly with me, and especially so with their regulars. Sue gave me their first-timer’s 10% discount, a welcoming touch. I also appreciated them being open early(6 a.m. on the Sunday I visited). Primos has been open a year, and did a great job remodeling. Sue’s husband mentioned that they sell ice cream outside, and that his brother-in-law runs their outdoor grill when they’re not snowbound…

My family and I love Primos, the staff is lovely, friendly and mostly family and close friends. Menu is small, but extremely customizable and the staff will help you with anything you need. Sue(the owner) is fantastic and managed to get a great deal of regulars right off the bat. The food is excellent and served quick and hot. I suggest giving it a try as an alternative to your normal place. Prices very reasonable! We go at least once a week, great addition to the seabreeze community.
