One Nightclub

Wouldn’t go here at all, they tried to kick me out and took the people from the group to settle the problem. Honestly the dance floor on the ground floor was small and would never be able to maneuver around the cramped area. I would never recommend to people because of how a poor night my friends and I had.

Ok I’m sorry, but as a native Rochestarian club one will always have a place in my heart. The term ratchet gets thrown around a bit when people refer to this place, but it takes someone with the most astute taste in nightlife to recognize that the ratchetness is the epitome of club one and why you go there to begin with. If I had to make an analogy this club is like the planet fitness of gyms — judgement free zone. It’s definitely a place to hit up when you’re drunk and wanna dance under some disco lights and be around a bunch of people who simply don’t give a crap about what anyone thinks of them. Love this place — always will and always have

They play mostly house music upstairs, multiple bars (one downstairs, one upstairs, one outside on the deck). Its a club in Rochester so you have to know what you are getting into when go go in. A dance floor that makes it impossible to move to the bar without fighting your way through the crowd. No spot to go and just relax and be able to talk to someone.
The outside area is pretty cool — you can do some great people watching out there. Sometimes there is separate music outside.
Its a little classier than vinyl, but the DJs are often a little off and talking over the music way to much «get your fing hands up» is their favorite phrase and they may say it 4 times during the same song.

Decide what you are. This was the first time we went to the ONE as a recommendation from a friend as a new pace to go.
Dinner menu was confused, prices where heavy, and I was shocked at the band setting up in the dining room, more so, that they warmed up loudly, poorly and distastefully, between shots for a good hour.
As for the food it was average at best. I had a salad and arancini. They seemed very commercial in appearance and (pick a poor adjective) in flavor.
The bar was unique, but having to be the waiter bartender an server gives you the impression a s a diner you are not welcome.
Add to that the high prices and I could not recommend this to anyone in good faith.

I wish I could give less than a 1 star. This establishment is a complete waste. It’s like a teen daycare in there. If you are looking to meet other mature people then you will meet their children at One instead. Any bar that resorts to teen night is desperate. This place seems to be willing to do anything to make a buck. There are better alternatives within walking distance that do not get slapped with lawsuits for underaged drinking.
The time it takes to get a drink in this place is crazy, you can sit there waving a damn 20 and not get a drink for so long your sober by the time you finally get it.
The bouncing is ridiculous here, the «head of security» is some stupid punk criminal who gets off on power tripping and they beat people down in this club rather than just escort you to the door.
What real bar charges customers a cover charge when they are old enough to drink? My money should be spent at the bar not at the door.
Who wants to go to a bar full of illegally drunk children where you can’t get a drink to save your life and then get bullied by power tripping security guards? No thanks.

Don’t waste your time with this place. I used to go here back in it’s hay day and it was a good time. Nowadays if you go, you’ll find yourself surrounded by a bunch of 17 year old kids running around with glow sticks, and bright shiny clothes. I hate the whole techno attire this place has welcomed. It used to be classy and upscale, now its THE sweaty armpit of East End nightlife. The bartenders are okay (the good ones found greener pastures), the bouncers on the other hand are awful, I’m surprised they haven’t been slapped with lawsuits. The bouncers will use excessive force if you are out of line. They will square off on your face while the other 2 bouncers hold you down. It sounds far fetched but this has happened to several people i know. They have no policies in place to handle unruly patrons. Bouncers by law can’t beat the snot out of someone, they can however remove you from the property. They have this entitlement that they can throw cheap shots to the back of your head without any repercussions. Their «street team» of over zealous teens are the most annoying people you can find in Rochester too! Save your money at the door and at the bar, stay away from this overrated teen disco.

Great club with awesome atmosphere, great drinks, killer sounds systems, professional bartenders, visual effects, second story deck and great DJs. I frequent One Nightclub as it is the nicest club in the city, straight up.
