Lovin’ Cup has been around for ages, which is impressive; most of the Park Point establishments have come and gone. I’ve been to Lovin’ Cup a handful of times over the years, and every time has been pretty solid. They have a fairly large menu — many items with fun/clever names — and I’ve never had anything bad. The service is always nice. Last time I went(about a month ago), I was with a friend and we got drinks and split the artichoke dip, which was creamy, not too salty, and had a good amount of artichoke pieces. It came out piping hot. Sooo good with our ice cold cocktails. I think the biggest appeal about Lovin’ Cup is that there’s always something going on: Can Jam, Lovin’ Cup Idol, open mic… it’s just a fun place to be. My friend and I happened to show up on an open mic night. Parking is relatively easy, and because it’s right next to the RIT campus, you can always go for a nice walk before or after your visit.

Great place to eat. If your looking for a cool relaxed atmosphere to dine in, this is one to try. The food is awesome. Haven’t had a bad meal there. The live music is good sometimes depending on what you’re into. The place will not wow you, but the food will make you think of coming back. Only down side was one of the times one of my servers took 20 min to grab my check. I had to ask someone else. Could have just slipped her mind.

Great place in a terribly hidden location. I feel that this place could be rocking on a Friday night with a band. The place is huge with a large outdoor patio on a nice night. The food was amazing and bar menu was large with plenty of options. Great place and cool atmosphere! Very friendly staff as well!

I’ve never liked lovin cup because a while back the waitress spilled my drink on my lap and never cared or helped out. Simply said she was sorry and left. But I decided to give it another shot. And I can remember why I never went back. The worst part of all; we had a birthday girl among us. Keep in mind the waitress knew this since the beginning. Waitress forgot her order and didn’t realize until explicitly told. Additionally my friend asked for no cheese and the waitress brought the plate with cheese. Waitress responded with a snotty«you didn’t say that but I’ll get it fixed up for you». Even though my friend did clearly ask for no cheese. Another friend issued an order to go. And the order came on a plate. When the waitress was reminded that it was to go, she again dismissed us by saying she didn’t say that and that my friend wanted a To go box to go with it. Finally some people ordered coffee and drinks. Only the drinks came out and the coffee never did. Oh sugar on top, she didn’t issue water refills until checks were out. We constantly felt like we were getting talked down to. And yet again lovin cup consistently delivers such a unpleasant experience.

Incredible food, by far the best I’ve had close to campus. Such a great variety of options and even the appetizers make for great dinners. I’ve been here at least 6 times now and I’ve never been disappointed by a meal or a drink which I’d say is a win. I definitely recommend you try the wings, and the sweet potato fries. Both are cooked and seasoned to perfection. You can’t go wrong with a burger or a burger or a sandwich either. I haven’t tried any main course dishes as a college student I prefer the cheaper options but other reviews seem to be positive. The service is always friendly and quick. The only reason I give 4 stars is there’s never been a quiet atmosphere and for a place that serves so many amazing coffee drinks sometimes I wish there were a calm vibe. Nonetheless the live music and other events always seem like a blast so I don’t think it’s something to turn you away.

Had dinner here for the first time in over a year(mainly because I don’t often drive to RIT for dinner since I live in the city). I ordered the Bowling Green wrap which is all veggie with hummus and avocado, and my parents each ordered a Bell Bottom Blues burger. All 3 sandwiches came with their string fries and a pickle. We all enjoyed! Lovin’ Cup has a really nice feel — whether you are eating, drinking, getting coffee or stopping in for live music. Our service and server were both great, the place was clean, and portions were hearty. For a bar they have a great menu with lots of options; food is fresh and there are lots of beers on tap. It’s a solid stop if you are in the area! If you are heading there just to hear music — go early to get a table by the stage and park, as the lot fills up quickly!

I’ve never had better cocktails in my life. Personal preference is The Sazerac. I’ve known one of the bar tenders there for a while, if you get Andrew you’re in luck — he makes the best drinks there. Besides that, the appreciation they have for music(local, regional & national) is amazing. You can always find a great show there. I’ve played there before and their sound is great, can be a little dry in the mix at times, but as far as coffee shop vibes it’s definitely one of the better ones I’ve experienced.

Lovin’ Cup is founded on brews and music. If you are looking for something to do, I recommend checking out their website or facebook page because they always have something going on. Salsa nights, Lovin’ Cup’s very own local version of American Idol, Homegrown Festivals(all featuring local brews and food), Stick y Lips Shakedown, Paint Nights, Meals paired with brews, Gianda Panda Guerilla Dubsquad, tc. They have open mic nights, and do trivia with Geeks Who Drink on Wednesdays. When there are events, it is packed, but it is a great place to be. One of the reasons I love Lovin’ is because it caters to a large demographic. You can go in and see people in their 60s enjoying the same music as 20-something hipsters and people with dreads in their dirty thirties. It doesn’t matter who shows up, as long you you like a good beer, music, and some food. I have gotten their steak, paninis, pastas and a large array of drinks. All in all, they are good at what they do.

We had just landed in the ROC and naturally we needed to stop by our alma mater’s campus(RIT) before heading out to our destination. We were also hungry and thirsty for some coffee and I knew I needed to check this place out as it is a new addition to the RIT campus expansion since the last time I visited. I’ll tell you this, the former student inside me is so envious of the new campus expansion and new restaurants that embellish the outer skirts of it. If I was a student today, The Lovin’ Cup would be my favorite place to meet up for a bite or drink while we work on our class projects. My husband and I ordered regular coffee mochas and split a chicken prosciutto panini with fries and mac salad. Everything was good but the chicken panini was lacking in flavor. The interiors were equally as awesome as its servers since they display local students’ artwork and interact with their customers with enthuasism.

I thought it was just a coffee shop; how wrong I was! My friend and I each ordered a vegetarian Asian noodle bowl; delicious and filling. Solid service. And they had a lovely live band playing as well! Definitely going to be a regular stop for us in the future.

I always have a fantastic experience here, a dinner, light lunch, music event or just a quick coffee to go. Lovin cup is located on one of the corners of point park, suburb spot with a spacious wrap around patio, lots of seating, corn hole and an outside stage. The inside is a giant L shaped floor plan, with a smaller more private semi open room for dining with a long bar with an amazing artistic metal wine rack behind the bar that is the center of the room… created by Chris Ward. Music is definitely a main focal point here, from the art work on the walls to the names of the items on the menu … to the many weekly live musical events! The large selection of brews on draft are always a fav, they really support local brewery’s not just serving their beer but lots of tastings and events to support them! My favorite is Brooklyn beer baby! I wish everyday was a Brooklyn summer ale kind of day! But when I’m not partaking in a crisp cold beer my choice is their Moscow mule… they know home to make a perfect one! So lets get to the food: The appetizers I have enjoyed are… give em the pickle, I’m a fan of them switching from the fried spears to the fried chips! Never can go wrong with the frizzle fries and their special dipping sauce… oh my! The big cheese and some meats are such a perfect match together yum! When I stop in for lunch My usual choices are the salads they have perfected with wonderful musical named to match… rage against the greens, down with da cease or the tangled up in bleu! Their fresh wraps are so good too… go with the wrappers delight! But maybe it’s a grilled panini kind of day…(a winter choice for me) then I’m going with I’m hot for teacher… grilled chicken, melted provolone with pesto sauce… oh happy day! Dinner time: You can’t go wrong with their ring of fire hamburger… your choice of cheese and toppings. French kissin is always such tender juicy roast beef, Now there are times when I will order ahead for a quick pick up. love this option… then my usual is the the joker sandwich. honey maple ham, Swiss cheese and spicy mustard. But their hidden secret is their coffee… hot or cold… it’s the bomb! If I’m feeling hot it’s the instant karma… caramel latte with espresso. Or the chocolate jerk… café mocha and espresso and milk. But when I feeling a cold coffee it’s time for karmal police… a caramel infused treat mixed with espresso, milk, ice and caramel syrup. Check out their website for the countless nightly events, lots of local talent! But a must is their lovin cup idol, such pure raw talent that you get a chance to see and hear first! The owners and the staff are the real reason for the success here at lovin cup. With Leslie and Eric Ward being the foundation. you will find them here all the time making sure everything runs smoothly, all while still finding the time to talk and get to know you … to the great, friendly servers… ask for Nicole shes the best and will make sure you have a amazing experience! If you haven’t already checked this place out, do yourself a favor and go… for a quite tasteful lunch, an exciting cd release dinner or a live musical event accommodating a beer tasting!

Went to dinner expecting pub trivia. Evidently they don’t keep their website up-to-date, and the trivia night had been moved to Wednesday. No biggie, though, we were hungry. PROS: The crowd there was probably the best aspect of the restaurant, they seemed like a pretty cool bunch.(There was an «American Idol”-like event going on that night, and so maybe it wasn’t the normal patrons, however). I ordered the Psycho Killer Burger, which was pretty decent. Not too impressive, but definitely tasty. CONS: The interior of the restaurant, the atmosphere, and the servers all reminded me of a slightly more hip, less family-friendly(in a good way) Applebee’s. The way everything was arranged, from the food items on the menu, to the fries and plating, gave off a slightly«corporate chain» vibe.

Came here for Trivia on Monday night and was disappointed to hear that their trivia was moved to Wednesdays for the time being. My friends and I were hungry so we sat down and ordered dinner instead. Standard American fare on the menu… mostly burgers, sandwiches, and salads. Nothing too inventive. I got the Bayou Wease, which was a burger with peppers, onions, guac, cajun seasoning, cheddar, and chipotle mayo. Burger was solid — juicy, but not falling apart so. It had a bit of a spicy kick to it. If I come here again, I might try the Bell Bottom Blues instead. Cool thing about this place is that they have a cool event almost every night of the week. When I was they, they had a live band and some sort of singing competition going on. Crowd seemed like the typical college crowd.

I really love this place. I went with out of town family, and they seemed to enjoy it also. There is a great beer selection… pricy, but great. The sandwiches are excellent. This time I got the french dip. Not much to say, it’s a french dip. I was executed very well, but still, it’s a french dip. I always seem to get great service, not sure if I am lucking out or they are really good at hiring the best people.

I had just flown into town to visit my friend and her family. She suggested this place, decent menu options and kiddo friendly. Lunch hour wasn’t busy at all, and ordered up a few coffees. Our waitress wasn’t as attentive to our needs, and at times I thought she forgot about us. I only ordered a regular cup of a coffee, and even after being brought the cup, the cream and sugar took another 10 minutes. The coffee by then was bathwater warm and unenjoyable. We ordered up a few sandwiches and fries; wrappers delight which was a pretty basic turkey and cheese. I wasn’t impressed and I’m not sure whether or not this place even has potential. Maybe the locals enjoy a good open mic night with plenty of booze involved and thats what gives this place the star rating it currently has.

For lovin cup to deserve all these four stars, one has to add in the fact that this place is the«it» place for salsa dancing. Yes, there are some other salsa dance clubs in town; but people who come here to dance have genuinely mastered the art of dancing. walk in on one of those dance nights and you will have the time of your life. As far as the food is concerned, it is just ok to me. The staff on the other hand are super nice and friendly. I once had a caramel latte here and it was really good. The chocolate cake was also delicious. There is a schedule on their website where you can check the upcoming events and there is always something going on here. Dance off, open mic night, wine tasting, and so on. Make sure to check in advance!

Lovin cup is a great spot to meet some friends out for dinner/drinks. I love that they have live entertainment. The band that was playing last night was really good!!! The food was excellent! I had the me and mr. Jones wrap and it was sooo good! Came with a fresh, crunchy deli pickle(my faves) and delicious French fries, tastefully seasoned. Manny, as always… Ordered a garbage plate and the meat sauce was delicious, and awesome Mac salad! Our server was awesome! He was so in the know and really cool guy to talk to! Drinks were a little weak, so I switched over to cider. They were out of a lot of selections unfortunately. We will be back though!
