Non existing customer service. Long waiting for everything, to get help, to get fabric and even to pay! 15min+ wait in line with only 2 customers before you. There are sale bins, but everything is mixed up meaning regular price items and those on sale. So you get a nice surprise total at the register. …if you make it there at all!

I’ve been in a half-​dozen times or so, and had mediocre customer service every time. The last straw was waiting at the fabric counter trying to make eye contact with two employees who were chatting but would not come over and cut my fabric. Two others were within sight, and finally one came over. The ¹⁄₈ yard fabric cut was so crooked I couldn’t use it. There are nicer stores in the area to buy fabric and supplies from – not worth going back.

Pretty good selection and price if you’re a quilter or crafter or really love flannel/​fleece. Not so good for those who make clothing. They have a limited and crowded selection of apparel fabrics. Perhaps I am, unfairly comparing this store with the JoAnn’s I shopped on the west coast, but it would be great if they moved to a more spacious store and carried a larger selection of apparel fabrics. Staff attitude used to be an issue. I have noted an improvement in the staff attitude since moving here four years ago. Perhaps they are taking these reviews to heart? I do think the store is understaffed at the cutting counter on sale days, but that isn’t the staff’s fault. The bathroom does need more attention. It’s always kind of grungy. All in all, if you need craft supplies, some quilting fabric, or 300 yards of snuggle flannel, you’ll be fine at this store.

I agree with others comments regarding the negative attitude of the staff. I love crafts and have my entire life, and I hope to pass that love onto my children, who are both small right now and have limited patience with mom fawning over fabric and yarn. It’s one thing to suffer the sour behavior of the help myself, but on two different occasions now my kids have been scolded by the employees for doing what I would consider to be normal kid things — nothing destructive or upsetting to other customers, mind you. I am seriously considering boycotting that store entirely and would have stopped going there already if it wasn’t for the fact that it’s the closest one to my house. As it is I won’t bring my children there anymore. Not all the employees are unpleasant but I’ve had enough bad encounters there to make shopping less than fun.

I was less than impressed with the customer service at this store. It was nonexistent. I have NEVER had such poor service. And the store wasn’t busy. There was no excuse for the negative attitude from the staff. Do not expect any help from their staff if you have questions about a project.

This place is open sundays when Hobby Lobby is not. I have found prices to be a little more spendy, but the sales are something to check out. I got some great fourth of july decorations for my kids’ birthday party for 60% off. There was also a selection of clearance (I mean dirt cheap clearance, not the piddly 20% off clearance) items available. The outdoor/​garden décor was also on sale. Bathrooms weren’t exactly clean, but usable.

This store is located in between Menards and Wendys as landmarks and there seemed to be ample parking at least when we went.
The store obviously has a large selection of fabrics of varying prices (1.99/yd — 30+/yd). I don’t currently know why some of the fabrics are priced so much higher than others but I’m sure they have their reasons. Regardless, we found some fabric that works for us and were able to get in and out quickly.
I should comment on a two specific things…
First, Margaret was very kind and helpful to us during our visit. The rest of the staff seem to share her same professionalism as we watched them handle a difficult customer encounter with great class.
Second, the bathroom was in a poor state yesterday. I rarely find it necessary to comment on such things but this was quite bad. I hope it is the exception and not the rule.
Overall, I don’t know that this store has anything unexpected to give it a four or a five rating but it certainly will satisfy your fabric and craft needs I think. However, I am far from an expert in these goods so watch for more ratings to guide you further.
