They now have Bose mini sound bar speakers for the tables to listen to sports games on the tv’s!

The atmosphere is really nice(everyone enjoys a good Irish pub) — food is always just ok(i would suggest an appetizer and a drink and then move onto another restaurant for dinner) — drinks are a little pricey in my opinion. Overall, my group of friends keep returning for the fun atmosphere. I would suggest to management that you up the staff(particularly during Sunday football)… Our waitress seemed a little overwhelmed(but did an adequate job).

Fun bar for watching the games but drinks can be a little expensive. It is very loud also if you looking to visit I would recommend sitting out front. Always busy at the heart of downtown.

Having not heard the best things about Dooleys, I decided to give it a shot anyways. I was not impressed went on a Monday night & was not busy what so ever but took close to 15 minutes before a server helped us. Food was just ok, nothing special to go back for after such horrible service.

Great place, had an afternoon snack here and it was very good, great environment and the Bartender was awesome and made sure he got the TV on the channel I wanted, overall I loved this place!

This is a fairly decent bar but its really really loud. Came here with a bunch of friends to watch a game and we could hardly talk to one another. Drinks tend to be a little bit on the spendy side. The atmosphere is pretty nice, its clean, open, modern pretty much a downtown Rochester pick up bar.

Good, standard American food. Enjoy the outdoor seating. Service is always good. Love their fries!

Way too loud! Food and drinks ok. Disappointed at the draft beer selection. Nothing spectacular.

Ok, we like coming here because it’s so close to home for us here in Roch. Once again, the food has outdone itself in terribleness. If the cooks actually tasted the microwaved crap they serve, they would puke. Time for a huge menu makeover as well as atmosphere. Your bar is as Irish as McDonalds serving cocktails. How about Irish food and entertainment other than St. Patty’s?

I have been here on at least 50 occasions. It gets the two stars for the quantity and quality of their TVs, making it an excellent sports bar. You can view a game comfortably from just about anywhere in the bar. They are more than willing to change a channel at your behest also. Beer is awful. I have had most things on the menu. The chicken quesadillas is my go to dish. Not overly keen on the other items on the menu, although the steaks are not bad. Although there are some very pleasant staff members, for the most part they are cynical and certainly don’t value your custom, which filters from the top down. A quick glance at a couple of the other more useful reviews confirms this. Having said all this, it is still the best place to watch games in Downtown Rochester with plenty of TVs and space. When the big games are on, the least of your worries are poor beer, mediocre food and staff that undervalue their customers.

I got into town late and nowhere to grab a beer and a bite. Dooleys waq the ticket, great beer selection and great food until 2am.

If I could give this bar no stars, I would. The customer service was horrible. Waited a while for my order to be taken and the place wasn’t that busy. I ordered wings and they were burnt. Too pricey for food that isn’t edible. Never again.

Stopped here one evening to watch the Vikings game and have some chow. They have plenty of TVs if your aim is to not miss any game action. The employees were very friendly and our server was knowledgeable about the menu. I was having a hard time picking between a few things and she guided me in the right direction. Everything we had was tasty and I can personally recommend the New Jerk wings… they were tasty and just the right amount of heat. The bloody mary was also very good AND they have all you can eat free popcorn… winner!

Went to Dooleys yesterday. Looks like a great place for the game and the service was great. The server was sweet and friendly to talk to. She was very attentive to the drinks and service of the table. But the killer part was the Mahi Mahi sliders. Man oh man. Those were tasty and expertly prepared. Buddy of mine had the walleye BLT. He said it was good as well. Well done!

Average, a little pricey. No happy hour specials. I had the philly and the onions in it tasted like candy. It’s about the only«clublike» atmosphere you can find in Downtown Rochester. It’s a fun place to go dance. However, every time I did the waitstaff would take my over half full drinks away that I left on the table. Pretty frustrating. The long Islands are good though.

One star is my gratuity. A barn with pounding 80s techno trash music or mindless country; less than fresh food that appears to have been taken from another’s plate. The staff was too interested in their scintillating conversation about getting a GED to focus on customers. Staff were dressed like they hadn’t been to GoodWill to pick up new duds for a while. Rochester makes Des Moines seem like Paris and Manhattan combined

Went with friends for a late night drinks, 1) ordered Long Island tea, was wayyyy toooo strong, 2) my girl friend ordered a sex on the beach was so bland seems like a fruit smoothies :) 3) it’s too loud that you can’t make a conversation… I’m not a big fan!

We just went here for lunch, so I can’t comment on this place’s party atmosphere, but I would agree that it is definitely a sports bar, not an Irish pub. It has tons of tvs, and even one in the bathroom so you don’t miss a second of the game. The menu was large and prices were moderate, with most items ranging from $ 8 – 15. I LOVED that they had many options that were heart healthy(and were marked as such on the menu). I had the turducken burger(a heart healthy item), and it was quite delicious. We were with a large party(20+ ppl), and our waitress did a pretty good job tending to all of us. The beers were huge, which perhaps explains the high prices people were complaining about. I would normally rate this 3 stars, but the decent service for a large party and the numerous healthy options bumped me up to 4 stars. Healthy, interesting options are so hard to find. Some chains have them, but they are often so boring(aka salmon with starch and veggie, chicken with starch and veggie… zzzzzz). However, this place seems to make a commitment to having healthy options for their customers. Thanks for that!

This is a typical popular Rochester bar… very similar to WhistleBinkies — open, loud, same aesthetic — basically a place where you can make sure you are«seen at» Was not impressed with the food, drink, service or anything but I guess I like the cozy little pub feel of the bars in St Paul — where you can actually just go and talk to who your with and enjoy a cold one vs. scanning all the time to see if you know anybody that just walked in and are you sure people noticed how cool you were to be there. If that is your thing it will rank high in your book—
