Absolutely love this Denny’s. They always seat us right away and get our orders ready. They also have the nicest waitresses and waiters. Love this Denny’s pizza too. Recommend this to everyone!

Over cooked the hashbrowns and the workers weren’t attentive at all and hostess had an attitude, way over priced for what you’re getting. We will never go there again.

The thing I like about Denny’s is its consistent quality. You can depend on every meal being reliable. Service, however, can vary greatly. We had a coupon for a free birthday breakfast and redeemed it at the West Ridge Rd. location. The hostess did not greet us, smile or even make eye contact. The only words she spoke were, «This way». Everyone is entitled to the occasional bad day, but when you are in a service business, you should make some effort to welcome customers.

It’s Denny’s, ya know? Service and food is fairly consistent at this location. I did have their Broccoli Cheddar Soup this last trip, which was a little disappointing. It was more like super thick cheese soup with a little broccoli in it. I’ve had better, but the coffee and garlic toast were great, as was the company I was with.

lol what a joke, we came here and was hoping to get breakfast. 45 minutes into our wait the server tells us the cook burned one of our dishes so its going to be a little bit longer. Mean while a group of 6 behind us who came in 30 minutes after we did received their food and so we just left. Can’t have high expectations for places like this though…

My husband & I went to Denny’s last evening for a meal following an RPO holiday concert. We were promptly & politely greeted & seated. After that, every thing went down hill. We waited roughly 10 minutes to be asked what we would like to drink by a woman with no name tag or uniform. About ten minute later a waitress whose name is Destiny came along with a tray holding two cups of coffee & two glasses of water, looking for whom ever ordered them. We signaled to her they were likely ours. She apologized & said she was told they were for people«over there». How was she to know? about another ten minutes later, the unnamed woman came back to take our order. I told her I wanted a grand slam & specified my choices– 2 eggs poached, white toast, 2 pieces of bacon, two sausages, hash browns with butter. I was aware of the .99 charge for an addition item. I got 2 cold poached eggs, barely toasted toast, cold, nearly raw hash browns(the forgotten butter did not even melt, one piece of bacon & one sausage. My husband ordered a super bird sandwich which also arrived cold with nearly raw bacon and cold fries. He ate about half of one sandwich half. I ate at Denny’s once before & had similar poor service with cold food. Neither time was the restaurant full. Twenty one dollars and 12 cents wasted. You could offer me free food for eternity and not loose a dime because I will never return to Denny’s. I did not complain because I was so upset, I was afraid I would cause a scene. I did not fill out a comment card because there were none. I did not contact the owner or manager because the contact info appears to be a well kept secret.

We like to read about the Louis Vuitton, Coach, D&B, and Burberry of restaurants but the low key brands deserve a shout out as well. Denny’s is a good spot for an after the bar/club late night hunger fix without being around all of the drunktards. They offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner at any time and at a fairly cheap price. I ordered the french toast breakfast for $ 6. I wasn’t disappointed when I got my warm french toast, sizzling sausages, crispy hash browns, and over-easy eggs served by our sweet, friendly server. I gave it three stars because it’s regular food I could make at home if it wasn’t for the late hour. It served its purpose and I really don’t have a bad thing to say.

We wanted breakfast like food. I had the Waffle Slam that was very good. Came with 2 «meats» eggs One of my friends ordered the new avocado bacon omelette and it was a hit. Another ordered spaghetti and meatballs– that didn’t look that great, he meatballs were a tad dry, but nevertheless the report was that it was good. Sensibly priced and the service was friendly. I usually have the skillets for either lunch of diner and they tend to be good.

It was a Sunday morning and I have had a bad experience in the past but because our normal breakfast place was closed due to a family event, my husband suggested we try Denny’s again. Definitely a mistake. The overall experience and frustration greatly outweighed any benefits. We walked in and waited to be greeted and to get our name on the wait list. No one was at the podium. After about 5 minutes a family came in behind us and the manager walked over and took their name and did not check to see if anyone else was waiting. So we waited and finally the hostess came back and took our names. We were told about a 10 – 15 minute wait. After about 10 minutes, they asked a couple a head of us if they wanted the one available take. It was this tiny table by the door surrounded by kids; they said they would still like to wait. The manager then told the hostess to sit us but the hostess insisted she had to seat the other couple first. We could both hear them discussing this and then the table sat empty for 10 more minutes until they sat us there. Frustrating! We ordered right when the server came but still had to wait 25 minutes for our food to come. A group of 4 people who were sat next to us complained that they had been sitting at the table for more then 5 minutes and they still have not seen their server. When the food came, the server dropped it down and left. I tried to ask for ketchup but she was gone before the words could come out of my mouth. An older women did come by and check on us and bring us what we needed. My husband enjoyed his food which is why I did not rate this a 1 star but he did comment it was a bit cold. My food was just average and not worth the wait.

If you’re looking for breakfast food at a good value, look elsewhere. Eggs were cold and looked unappetizing(I say look because I couldn’t bear to try to stomach them). Everything was seemingly cooked with a pound of butter and the whole place looked shabby and unclean. The only halfway redeeming quality I could add is the service… that is to say if our waitress hadn’t left shortly after seating us. Although we were found a replacement, the people behind us weren’t so lucky as they were forgotten. All in all, I regrettably cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone, the days of the grand slam breakfast are over.

Wow! Haven’t been here in years! We wanted a late night breakfast. I’m so happy we both ordered steak and eggs. Bc I have a flat tire on my bike at home so I brought it with me. What a joke. That food sucks. Rye«toast» had a pound of butter. Eggs were grossly under done. It’s safe to say I won’t ever go back. I give this place 2 dumps up. What a crap hole. What a joke of a chain restaurant.

2⁄5 stars from me because the only thing I like here is the breakfast food. Everything else on the menu is either too greasy or too salty for my taste. I must admit, I just recently started coming back to Denny’s because I used to hate everything on the menu. In past years after I would eat here my stomach would get upset from the greasiness of the food. But I just went back a few weeks ago and had a pretty good breakfast. I had the Create Your Own Grand Slam. I got eggs, turkey bacon, toast, and a fruit cup. I was pleasantly surprised when the fruit cup was actually fresh fruit!(Not the kind that comes in a syrup) I got an assortment of grapes, honeydew melon, cantaloupe, and pineapple. The eggs were still a little too greasy; they had pools of butter still on it. But I quickly remedied that by dabbing them with a napkin ;) They also have some other great breakfast options like oatmeal, english muffins, grits, yogurt, etc. The coffee is pretty good. Nothing spectacular though. I will go back, but only for breakfast ;) Oh — and this place is open 24 hours so you can go for a late night snack if you want. But if you go after 12am, be prepared to dine around people who have come to Denny’s after having one too many drinks!

I remember when I was young that we would occasionally come to Denny’s just for a change of pace from eating at home all the time. It would be a treat and I remember my parents thinking the food was decent for the price. Then I was in my teens and for some reason the food here went way down in quality and things were very greasy. I remember having to pat my fried eggs dry from all the oil. It would be at least 10 years before I came back, and I came back a couple weeks ago for breakfast. And I noticed something different… I ordered the ultimate skillet with over medium eggs. Sometimes, when ordering a skillet, there would be the blackened charred stuff on the skillet, but this was quite clean. The eggs were done right and not greasy at all. I expected a bunch of oil and grease at the base of the skillet soaking my homefries but that was not present. The bold roast coffee was pretty mellow and complemented my breakfast well. More recently, I had the prime rib and chicken skillet with roasted vegetables, pico de gallo, and cheesy hashbrowns with tortillas. Basically, a Denny Fajita. It wasn’t bad at all. Decent cuts of meat, hot and crisp vegetables, crispy and cheesy hashbrowns. My finacee got the avocado turkey burger, which tasted a little dry to me, but nonetheless edible. I also noticed that the menu items have gone through some changes. There are more options now. There’s the classic grand slam, but there’s an entire build your own slam section. There are a plethora of skillets. Burgers, salads, sandwiches, fish, steak, pot roast, etc. There are more choices here than you can eat in a month. They have a value menu as well for $ 2, $ 4, $ 6, or $ 8 selections which range from biscuits and gravy to a fried seafood platter. Which brings me to my next point: you can make a meal out of less than $ 5 or over $ 20, depending on how much you get. Overall, I think it’s an ok place to simply get something to eat and be on your way. Or just a place to get some appetizers, a drink, and hang out with friends/family. I don’t think expecting much more than that would be fair. To do so would be trying to expect a dog to meow. This review is for 2.5 stars.

Good option for inexpensive family dining out. Definitely not the healthiest but some good tasting items are there… burgers and apps are decent… and you can have breakfast for dinner which is never a bad thing, the«skillets» are usually good. My son made the mistake of ordering the kids pizza… that was not a winner. 90% of the time the service here is quite nice too.

Some of you outside the oh-so-wonderful US of A may think this is just a 21st-century spelling of the name Denise, thought up by some 13 year old who got an F at English and thought she could go ahead and re-spell her first name anyway. Unfortunately for all of us, it’s not. It’s a «diner». And not a good one. Not. At. All. I came here in 08 or 09 because I was dragged here by some friends in the area, who seemed to think this was the only thing open late. I always tell my friends there are other options and they never listen. I think everyone secretly loves Denny’s.(Sob). I have lots of cool friends in Rochester. ;) Denny’s? Really? So many amazing American family-owned places, not to mention dreamy ethnic food, and people still come to Denny’s? And IHOP? And Perkins? And Applebees? And Chilis? Really? How depressing. The only reason Denny’s is a 2 and not a 1 is, they are 24 hour and have wifi, which helps me a lot on tour, and they used to have an amazing cocktail style drink called the Pineapple Dream that was the only thing I’d order at this overpriced embarrassment for a local-business-killing corporate chain… but sadly they axed that from the menu. I’ve tried their other drinks too — the Cherry Limeade one is good… the one with Coconut is pretty good too. Not a bad little range of non alcoholic tropical drinks. I heard it has returned now, in certain Denny’s, so maybe I’ll go back to this one and see if that’s true next time I’m in the area. I also should point out that one of my best friends in the world worked at Denny’s so that also helps it get a 2 instead of a 1. I should mention, I only rate national and global chains on a scale of 1 – 2. I rate family businesses on a scale of 3 – 5. Here is why: Would you rather support the local family, or the multi national corporations and the rich men on yachts in the Carribbean? Why are the parking lots of the awesome local places usually half empty(or completely empty)? Why are the chains always so busy? Why can they afford to open so late and get all the TV advertising and all the prime intersection locations? Why are they always in shopping malls? Why go and support Denny’s, Chilli’s, TGIF, Olive Garden, or the horrendous Applebees? These places have systematically and coldly taken over the national food scene by using the cheapest ingredients, pre-packaged frozen systematic meals that are identical across the nation, overly high prices, rude underpaid servers on way less than minimum wage, and a ridiculously expensive mass brand advertising campaign that gets inside the heads of all the kids and the 20somethings and keeps them under the illusion that if it’s not a brand name, it’s not worth visiting. They spend all the money they should be investing in food and service, in advertising and cornering the market — the local places can’t compete — and someday all we will be left with is the same chains serving the same food all over the world. That is our future. It’s the way we’re heading and you know it. Every time you eat at a bland national chain, you buy into that, you support that. Boycott chains. Support your local eateries. It’s an embarrassment that generic brand national chains are even listed on a proper foodie website like Unilocal, let alone getting 4 and 5 stars from so called foodies. Wake up, America, before we’re all just batteries in the matrix.

Denny’s food is always pretty great, but this location in Greece takes the cake. A friend who came with us wanted the Taking Back Sunday Bacon Burger Fries(which are no longer on the menu) with chicken instead of hamburger. The kitchen staff weren’t sure what the ingredients were, but the waitress dutifully took the ingredients down from my friend and the kitchen made it for her. Our waitress was great, the place was clean, and my Buffalo Chicken Wraps and the mozzarella sticks were fantastic. My boyfriend went to RIT and my brother now lives in the area, and they both say that this is «the good Denny’s» in Rochester. I haven’t been to the other, but I can see why they think so!
