I kept seeing posts from folks who’ve dropped by and decided to check it out for myself. Their sushi is fresh and the bubble tea options are endless. The staff are also incredibly friendly — if you’re looking for a quiet place to grab lunch and get a little work done, I would highly recommend!

Parking: due to it being in the city area, parking is scarce, there’s paid parking on the street. Environment: walking in, it is very open, high ceilings. it has a very orderly feel, not like a coffee shop that is homie and relaxing. the feel is more business lunch than coffee date. there is a bit of an echoing when there isn’t a ton of people there which makes for conversations to be softer which is not preferred. This shop and Spot are separated by a clear glass wall, next to the wall is a longer high top table with about 8 seats, about 5 regular tables and a couch area with about 2 lounge chairs. Drinks: They have iced, hot and smoothie drinks. They have a decent selection and allow you to mix different flavor a which I love. I ordered Strawberry Coconut smoothie. The one size for a smoothie is significantly smaller than what I’m used to at «Café Tea Leaf» in buffalo and«Yummy Garden Hot Pot» in Henrietta. However, the drink experience was really good, the flavor was just right and it tastes fresh. There were actual strawberry seeds in it so you know they had real fruit to use back there. All the bubble drinks come with the black pearls, they do have an option for jellies to be added. they do not have the bursting Bobas which I prefer, but the jellies were not bad. Food: I am not a big fish person so I ordered the Peanut Avacado roll which was really good. It was about 6 pieces, they were a bit smaller than I’d hoped, but without fish or other ingredients it’s kind of expected. It took about 10 minutes to be served to us and it came on a near plate with ginger, wasabi and a divot in the plate for the soy sauce. The soy spice is on every table in a cute little«tea kettle» looking holder. Service: The lady that served me and took my order was extremely nice, patient and interested in me getting the best drink specifically for me. She did however forget to put the jellies in my drink and later made me a whole new drink with the jellies to make up for it without me saying a word about it. I didn’t realize the jellies were missing until I got to the middle of my drink. I did not expect that, it was extremely nice of her and she didn’t have to. Overall: I would choose other bubble tea places and sushi places over this, however my experience was a good one.

I was up in this area for a meeting when my wife suddenly texted me that her need for bubble tea was dire and to bring some home from here. I have no problem taking a bubble tea adventure of deliciousness so I came here. Now it was a bit hard to find because my gps had me going up and down cross streets but just so you know, its right on East Avenue and there is plenty of street parking as well. Once I found my way inside I was very impressed with how nice the décor was. Their menus are very descriptive making it easy to order. I got myself a Peach green tea which is my go to drink for trying out new boba joints(milk tea if its a HK bakery). I got my wife her normal Jasmine green tea ½ sweet. My drink was very tasty but because I have a bit of a sweet tooth I would probably ask for extra sweet to make it peachier. My wife’s drink was just right she said. Their bubbles were chewy and flavorful and the overall cost was about 9 $ which is a little higher than most.

This is the closest sushi place I have to my work place, so I tried my hardest to make it work. After it failed the first time, I gave it another shot, and another, and another. It was like a bad high school relationship that you keep going back to. Let me start off by saying, I pretty much love fish. That includes the fishiest tasting fish: salmon. I like it cured, smoked, grilled, baked, fried, and raw. I don’t discriminate when it comes to salmon, but I have found the one place where I won’t eat it. I’ve tried out a couple of rolls that included salmon. I probably ate 1⁄6 in each roll and stopped completely. There has been something off on every occasion. Salmon is fishy, but it’s not supposed to be THAT fishy. It’s not supposed to make you turn up your nose at it. I also really dislike their shrimp tempura that comes in a variety of their rolls. It’s not crunchy, it’s not flaky. It’s just a soft and soggy coating around a piece of shrimp. After you go through all of their menu items that don’t include either salmon or shrimp, you’re not left with much of a variety — which I’m not sure you even want.

Oh my goodness, this place is so cool! It is such a great hangout spot, when you don’t want to just get coffee, but you don’t want to get dinner either! I had just finished dinner with friends and wanted something sweet so we thought bubble tea would be great. When we arrived they informed us that they were making fresh tapioca pearls because they ran out, so we decided to go for honey toast. This was not at all what I expected, and the pictures don’t do it justice. Just go. Taste. And be amazed.

I’m always very skeptical when it comes to trying new sushi places. Definitely no regrets giving this place a chance! Ambiance is lovely. It has the casualty of a café but is still able to give off a restaurant vibe. Seating is great and so is the décor. In terms of the actual sushi, they nailed it! We got the rainbow role, shrimp tempura, and spicy salmon. All three were absolutely delicious. My personal favorite was the shrimp tempura. Presentation is a huge deal breaker when it comes to food and they did a great job with that as well. The food was beautiful and tasted delicious. I also ordered the papaya bubble tea which paired surprisingly well with meal. Not a fan of papaya itself at all but papaya bubble tea is tasty! All in all, a great place to grab sushi. Will definitely be eating here whenever my sushi craving kicks in.

Impressed. Absolutely impressed. I was a little skeptical when I first heard about the place. Being in the area, and based on the reviews I thought I might as well give them a try. Entering we were greeted by a friendly Teresa. Genuinely kind and had a great personality. We ordered a couple of their Fruit Bubble Teas. Very tasty, but for a large, I thought the cup would be bigger. We ordered a couple rolls. The Valentine Roll which was the special of the day and the Godzilla Roll. Along with Temari Sushi which I chose the White Tuna, Tuna, Smoked Salmon, Yellow-Tail, Salmon, Squid, Salmon Roe, and Eel. I must say, every piece was delicious and fresh. It was the minor details such as the garnishes on top of each piece blew me away. I found the prices to be a bit high for what you get which is nigiri but formed differently. The rolls were very tasty, and nicely presented. I’m sad to say this is more of a café style establishment. This would be a great restaurant with full service. If there’s another thing I’d complain about, it’s the parking. There’s no parking lot, so street/lot parking will be necessary. Overall, the service was fantastic and the food was spectacular. The friendly smile and service of Teresa made it just even better. I would definitely return and recommend.

I was a little hesitant to try this place out because of some of the reviews here but my friend wanted to try it out and I thought I’d give it a go. Boy, am I glad I did! The sushi was delicious. Admittedly, it was a bit on the expensive side but it was better than a lot of sushi I’ve had in the city. My friend is very allergic to avocado so they substituted it for salmon(!!!) to top our dragon roll. The bubble teas were VERY good. I felt that they were well flavored, balanced, and very refreshing. The tapioca pearls were pleasant and not over/under done. The atmosphere was lovely. It was very relaxed and the waitresses were so fun and amazing! I will definitely be back!

Entering into Bubble Fusion really was a nice experience. The décor was a nice combination of modern with a softly lite fire place. I loved the splashes of bright colors in the midst of dark-warm wood tones. I had the taro tea and really enjoyed it. It was balanced and not at all overwhelmingly sweet like most bubble tea shops in the US. The pearls had the perfect texture. The tea was very similar to what I would get at the shops in the Philippines and Hong Kong. The sushi was delightful and the rice was perfect. I had the Rainbow roll and really enjoyed the combination of the three fish. The soy sauce was very nice with a salty start and soft tangy finish. The prices were fair in my opinion, definitely have paid much more for sushi that did not taste as good. The sushi was not the best I’ve had in Western NY however, it was pretty good. I will definitely come back for another experience.

Pro Tip: Show your student ID and score 10% off I’ve probably been here at least 10 times now and bubble fusion has been consistently good. My earlier assessment on milk tea still stands. I love their taro smoothie with pearls, but it’s still not quite on par with milk tea you’ll find in the bay area(Mom will you fedex a gallon of that stuff to me?). That said, it’s still the best I’ve had in Rochester and remains my go-to place. The real kicker that prompted me to update this review was the honey toast. They’d run out the last three times we were there, but this time they had it and we ordered it! They said it would take ~15 minutes to make? Strange since they weren’t making any other orders. But then I saw the sushi chef, delicately slicing the bread and layering everything. This stuff is made fresh right there! You can see the final product in the picture below. It stands about a half foot tall, perfectly toasted, drizzled in honey, with a scoop of red bean and sesame ice cream, and garnished with fresh slices of kiwi and mango. For $ 8, it’s an amazing deal! Bring a friend to share and be prepared for a bit of a wait. But it’s okay, that’s why they sell milk tea too! :)

Bubble Fusion Tea is not to be confused with Bubble Refugee Tea which is currently being served in Germany to thousands of Syrians, among others. Also not to be confused with Buffalo Nugent Tea which is obnoxious and kills lots of animals, and then boasts about it at concerts and on MTV. Ew. BFT has perhaps the best service in town(at least among bubble tea places), particularly the young girl who was wonderful to me. She explained which teas she likes and why, and talked in detail about them. She was delighted that I was from England, and that I’d traveled from Buffalo and was trying their teas. Based on the Milk Tea alone, they might score a 5, definitely close to it, but their Coconut Bubble Tea was really poor, so I’m averaging it out to a 4. However I will try the Milk Tea again when next in Rochester, and if I am more in love with it than I remember, I may raise this review to a 5. As well as the service and the milk tea, I really like the décor here. Lots of sexy people hanging out drinking(bubble tea), with gorgeous circular bright lights on the ceiling, and the room looks like a mini Hotel Lobby or a mini mini mini railroad terminal lobby.

First, I’ll say that I haven’t eaten here yet; I’ve only had the bubble tea – which I must say is FANTASTIC every time! The people who work here are friendly, helpful & efficient. It’s very clean on the inside & I love the décor. I’ll definitely be frequenting this place!

I completely agree with my BFF, Ebbie P.‘s review. I was disappointed in the boba tea. The flavor already drops a few notches because they don’t use fresh fruit when they can, but in addition, it tasted like there was not enough powder added for flavor. Watery powder drink. Doesn’t sound appealing. If you like the light powder mix packets that’s added to water and tastes like a diluted sweet beverage, then you may like this. If I want a flavored drink then I gimme the flavor, por favor. On the plus side, they are generous with the tapioca bubbles. I hope their boba tea improves because it’s a cute alternative to coffee spots. It’s a trendy, visually appealing place to mellow out in the heart of East End. I wouldn’t be surprised if this place stays open past midnight hours in the future. I’d like to come back and check out the sushi.

I’m very excited to have this new place in this space. The bubble tea was very generous on the boba, and not too sweet, which are my two priorities. I’m not sure what they make it with, but I’m not an expert when it comes to bubble tea, so I’m happy! The servers seemed kind and the fish portions were fairly generous and the rolls well constructed. My order took an appropriate amount of time, so plan ahead and be a little patient.(read: not too long, but also not too short, where they were just throwing fish into rice and haphazardly rolling). Sometimes it takes a bit of time! My one complaint is the prices are on the higher side. I usually get basic rolls and nothing fancy, but if your tastes align with the«special» rolls, you could easily walk out of there spending well over $ 20 for a couple rolls. I don’t really mind this because I’m so happy to have this business around!

Picked up sushi for my boyfriend who works nearby and has a long shift tonight. We got the Crazy and the Fantastic fusion rolls. My boyfriend says it’s the best sushi he’s ever eaten, and I’ve got to admit that the rolls were seriously delicious. Everything was super fresh(the display of fish alone was just pretty to look at) and the flavored were wonderful. We were barely able to finish two rolls; they were really filling! Bubble Fusion is right next to Spot coffee. It has a handful of small tables as well as a few couches around a faux fireplace. I loved the décor, but I could imagine that seating might get tight during busier hours. The people that work there are super nice too, which is always wonderful. Parking wasn’t an issue when I went, but it could be during busier hours. I’ve had bad experiences with other bubble tea places, but this place was good enough that I might try it again in the future. Yay Bubble Fusion!

This review is for their boba tea milk shakes. Their drinks are all powder based, so if you order a honeydew or an avocado flavor, don’t expect the richness of the real stuff. My favorite boba tea is taro, and that’s never really made with the real root veggie, but it normally has a rich lavender color. The drink was more brown than what it’s supposed to be. The generous serving of tapioca pearls were not the culprit. I’ve had drinks with extra servings without sacrificing flavor and color. My drink tasted like the watery remnant of a milk shake. Maybe this was an off night, but I heard from a friend having the same experience opening week. The sushi looks good, but if they are being cheap about the amount of powder they mix in… I do have to give them credit for the amount of boba in each serving. Getting extra at any other place is akin to pulling teeth. Like other places, they charge you for extra. However, you won’t need it. I’ve been told that they are also under cooked, but mine were just slightly so and not that hard in the middle. They were infused with a nice sweet tea flavor and that gets a star all by itself. The other star is for ambiance and décor.

Ok the staff and workers are really nice but the wait for your food is ridiculous! We came in with a group and since onlytwo people Make the sushi the wait was like 30 minutes! But it’s that bad when you aren’t with a group I came by myself once and the wait was like 30 minutes again! The place is just really slow! So that’s where the 3 stars comes from! But otherwise the sushi is good and the taro bubble tea was delicious. If you have time on your hands I would say give this place a try!

I could give this place a 5 star rating based on the earl grey milk tea alone BUT the sushi was so fresh and way yummier than Pretty much every other Rochester sushi place. My roll was tempura shrimp, avocado, cucumber with spicy shredded real crab and tobiko covering it! Good god I was happy So happy in fact we are going back tomorrow night!

Heck to the yeah! I’ve been waiting all summer for this place to open, so couldn’t help but rush inside when I walked past it today. The interior is adorable — plenty of seating(sofas, bar tables, and chairs) and really open and spacious. The wifi is blazing fast, which means it’s going to be a new work place for me. :) I’ve tried a number of their flavors, and my favorites are the Earl Grey or the Classic. The passion fruit smoothie with fruit jelly is pretty delicious, and a great summer time drink. The Matcha is a bit watered down though, and I would not recommend it. I do wish they used real bubble tea cups with the seals instead of coffee style cups and lids. Why? 1) I can’t easily buy multiple bubble teas to go without them spilling. 2) It’s nearly impossible to get the straws in the lids without bubble tea seeping out! The prices are a tad steep for sushi, but the generous size of the rolls and the amount of fish they give you makes up for it. This is probably my favorite place for sushi within Rochester proper because of the combination of fresh ingredients and creative rolls. Now that they are adding new items to the menu like miso soup and shaved ice, Bubble Fusion is becoming a really sweet spot to hang out! 10% student discount!
