Had a wonderful experience here while visiting the Mayo. There is convenient access via the pedestrian subway system– all you have to do is take the elevator down to the subway level and you are in the Mayo Clinic. It made it really easy to come back and rest between appointments. Free breakfast in the lobby in the morning. The staff is extremely kind and curteous– the sister of the owner who happened to be working behind the desk was kind enough to drive me herself to walgreens to pick up supplies when she realized we hadn’t rented a car. The rooms are clean and the beds were quite comfortable. I strongly recommend this hotel to anyone going to Mayo who may need an extended stay.

How have I missed this gem of a hotel? I’ve been staying at hotels in Rochester for a couple of years, and have completely overlooked the Brentwood, but I don’t know why. This place is exactly what I have needed, and at a reasonable price. Let’s make a list of the reasons: on the subway system, not only for the clinic, but for numerous restaurants. Free parking. Easy to find. Clean spacious rooms. Convenient roll in shower. Plenty of room on BOTH sides of sink for toiletries. Bedside tables with lamps on BOTH sides of bed. With plug ins for phones. On BOTH sides of bed. Did I mention reasonable clinic prices? Quiet. Television. Fridge and microwave and coffee maker. Room to spread out and relax.

Great newly remodeled rooms. Friendly staff and with the tunnel to mayo a great choice for any weather. Reasonable rates and comfy beds.

Great prices, clean rooms, continental breakfast, AND connected to the subway level of the clinic? So awesome. Plus they let us park there for an extra few hours while we hit our last appointment, and everyone was really nice. Stay here. Do it.

This hotel is a great value for the money! For roughly $ 80 per night (that’s the Mayo Clinic patient rate), you will get a clean, comfortable and adequately appointed room. The furnishings are new and in good condition, although some guests may see the room as somewhat Spartan. The rooms we occupied were recently remodeled. The lobby area is bright and clean with a cozy fireplace and a small breakfast area. A basic breakfast is complimentary each morning. Otherwise, there is no restaurant in the hotel. Rooms include a refrigerator and microwave oven, although you will need to provide your own utensils, plates, etc. A guest laundry facility is located on the third (?) floor. On site parking is mostly open air, although a limited number of spots are available in the covered, unheated garage area. A very nice feature is the direct access to the underground subway walking tunnel to the various downtown Mayo Clinic buildings. The hotel staff is exceedingly helpful and friendly; they will make you feel like family.

We’ve been visiting Rochester for over fourteen years now. Over that period of time, have stayed at three different establishments, and after experiencing the other two, will only stay at the Brentwood.
It is linked to Mayo via the subway, a real plus when you chose stay out of the weather. A quick elevator ride down, and you are within walking distance of Mayo itself, and quite a few eating and shopping venues.
We stay in the Brentwood’s suites. Well-​appointed with micro and fridge plus sink/​counter space plus storage. Comfortable beds, expandable couch, newer televisions, dressers and space for hanging clothes. Recliners upon request.
Nice seating/​kitchen area near front desk, offering free breakfast items — juices, coffee, cereal, donuts, bagels, toast.
The facility itself is great — comfortable, spotless, modern. And the staff is outstanding. Folks at the front desk have been extremely helpful and friendly, from reservations, to check-​in, to assisting with needs during stay. And the housekeeping staff is outstanding. Our rooms have always been cleaned beautifully, with all personal items left untouched.
Prices are very reasonable for such a top-​notch facility. Continues to be our home away from home.
