The best of both worlds: chiropractic and fitness. I have been seeing Dr. Stephen regularly for five months. He’s genuinely good natured, and he and his partner, Leah, run a welcoming, courteous, and well-equipped gym and studio. He’s also an extremely tough trainer. I’ve worked with trainers for years, but there is something different — and better — in having one who is observant of posture and position, and addresses muscle memory in his treatment and workouts. He’ll even stop mid-session to make adjustments, then resume training. But make no mistake: you’ll do at least 200 crunches in a single session. I haven’t been in this good of shape since high school sports(nearly 30 years ago). More so, I now can pinpoint — often, within minutes — the triggers that cause repetitive stressors to flare up. It’s given me the clarity to make changes in my daily routine(e.g., no more hunching, or heavy computer bags). I’m paying attention to how my body feels, and I’m often able to address trigger points on my own. This is a small gym, and doesn’t currently all of the amenities of larger chain gym — but I know I’m getting my money’s worth here on the results that matter. I can’t imagine working out anywhere else.
