Several minutes of the 2015 movie«Kumiko — The Treasure Hunter» was filmed at this restaurant. Kumiko and the cop trying to help her went in for a buffet lunch. :-)

Definitely not the best chinese/sczechuwan buffet I have been to. I actually never even knew it was in my small ghetto town until I went on an adventure one day throughout Robbinsdale and North Minneapolis. Me and a friend came here on our munchy craze during our adventure, it has a very very small buffet selection, which is not cool considering their prices are pretty high for only having maybe at most 25 selections at the buffet. They are slow to refill their buffet line too, I actually had to go to the kitchen to tell them they were out of sesame chicken, after watching the Hostess walk by it 5 times and an additional 10 minute wait. So they barely clench a 1 star on my scale Like i previously stated, the prices here are too high for such a small selection of food, and the food quality could be stepped up a notch. I know it all comes off the same truck, but you can really tell the difference when a cook takes time and puts love into their food, where as here, it seems like they just cook it to have it there. Dissapointing all around. I might go back someday and see if anything changes, but it wont be anytime soon, thats for sure.

If you eat here skip the buffet and order your favorite chinese dish. I ordered Moo Shoo pork which isn’t on the menu but she made for me anyway. My mom’s favorite dish is the black bean chow fun which is out of this world. The woman who works here is just as sweet as can be.

Only go to the lunch buffet if you want Panda Express quality food for cheap in large quantities. Most food is served in a thick brown sauce or is deep fried. Wouldn’t be good for the health-conscious or vegetarians.

I’m surprised that this place has never been reviewed. I went there a couple of times for the lunch buffet. The place can be kinda hard to find because it’s on the street that goes parallel with highway 81. The place feels pretty homey and cozy with Chinese décor inside. You also get to see nice view of Crystal lake out the windows too. They dont have that many selections comparing to other typical Chinese buffets, probably just about 20 items. I’m not so sure if they change any items on buffet, but Ive only been there a few Fridays and these are some the items that I can remember on the buffet. fried rice, hot & sour soup, the basic fried stuff(Chinese egg rolls, Vietnamese egg rolls, chicken wings, egg foo young), veggie items(green beans, mushroom), stir-fried items(black pepper pork, Schezuan chicken, honey chicken, teriyaki chicken), a little salad bar, some canned and fresh fruits, and some sweets. Though they dont have that many selections, most of the items are really fresh. I particularly like green beans, mushroom, Schezuan chicken(a little spicy), black pepper pork, hot & sour soup and fried dumpling. Those items are really fresh and tasty. The hot & sour soup is really hot and sour and very flavorful. I dont normally eat egg rolls, egg foo young, and sweet & sour with batter-fried meat, so I cant say how they are. The teriyaki chicken and the fried chicken wings are the items that I will probably pass. Overall the food is nice and fresh, and I will probably go there again.
