Went here for dinner last night for the first time, And the sushi was delicious and the plate of chicken I got was fantastic! Only reason I give a 4 star instead of 5 for this particular experience, is because I ordered the Mars Roll(one of my favorite rolls!) and it still tasted good but it was different from what I’ve had before.

The rolls were really good, I especially loved the Kiss Roll. I do wish they had more varieties that didn’t include tempura. I’m a huge fan of sashimi, and unfortunately it was not that great. But if you are looking for a good place for rolls, where you don’t have to dress up, and can feel casual, this is a good choice. The staff was friendly, the place is clean. They play pop music, which isn’t ideal, but it is what it is. The noise level is a little high, but I think it comes with the casualness of the place. All in all, I would say, it’s a good place to go for rolls with your friends.

As someone who would prefer to eat anything other than sushi, I left happily surprised. I would highly recommend this place.

I thought this place was actually pretty good. It’s nice to have a fast sushi/Chinese food place close by. Everything we ordered was excellent definitely will be going again.

Great place to eat! They remember us ever time we go in. Really tasty sushi at a reasonable price. They were very attentive to us and really happy. Clean restaurant and great ambience.

Many choices of sushi rolls. And the menu is very descriptive. We only tried the sushi rolls and miso soup. Everything we tried was good. The menu is overwhelming with so many Chinese and Japanese dishes in addition to the sushi choices. The ambiance is boring. Not much for décor. They have a tv with sports on but the sound was off. I would give 4 stars but since it is in Riverton I will give 5.

This is a great place for sushi! Always fresh and decent prices. Also their Chinese good is God too with above average portion sizes. Service is fast and friendly, but try to eat early in weekends to beat the crowd.

This joint reminds me of Yi sushi or Ichiban sushi. Decent prices for mediocre sushi. Although the prices here aren’t advertised as ’50% off’, it is quite comparable to the before mentioned places of discounted sushi. We got a few rolls to share and I preferred the ‘naked’ rolls without all the sauce to mask the fish taste, thus the Ichi and the salmon/avocado were my favorites. We also got the egg drop soup and avocado roll for our toddler and the soup was laden with MSG, so we skipped it and just had her eat the avocado roll. It had the right amount of avocado and satisfied her while we enjoyed our dinner. This place gets crowded on Friday nights, so get here early if you don’t want to wait. Service was decent, we got what we needed. Note that if you like ginger and wasabi, you will have to ask for extra since they only give one serving for our 4 rolls. No biggie since they were quick to give us extra when requested. Bottom line: Decent prices for mediocre sushi, good for that sushi fix if you live in the area and don’t want to go too far.

We got a variety of items. Fried food wasn’t our fav but veggies and other meat was good, three star worthy. The egg drop soup was awesome tho and I will come back for that for sure. The rest of the meal was ok but I wouldn’t rave but I’m willing to give them another try.

Very, very good Chinese food and they package their to-go food so nicely. Their moo too gain pan is nice and light. The veggies were cooked perfectly. We also ordered the jalepeno fry beef. Fantastic flavor but spicey! We will definitely be going back to try the sushi and bento boxes. Yum!

Very good tastes of both Japanese and Chinese cuisine! I mostly just get the sushi and some tempura veggies, but I tried the Chinese once and it was great too. They have a huge variety of food, including sushi, soup, salad, sashimi, fried rice, Chinese food, and more. They also have bento boxes. I would recommend getting the California roll/Alaska roll or the avocado or cucumber rolls if you don’t have much sushi experience. I also recommend getting the Fire Dragon roll(10 pcs), the Rainbow roll(8 pcs), the Play Boy roll(8 pcs), and the Dynamite roll(8 pcs). They also have a good selection of Chinese food, such as pork, beef, chicken, lo mein, chow mein, udon, phở, and more. They also have some house specials that I would recommend. They do have mochi ice cream and tempura ice cream, which are must gets. There are lots of things to try here, so stop by, you will like something here. Please come here if you have the chance, you won’t regret it!

How have I driven past this restaurant hundreds of times without ever going in!!! The best part about this review is the fact that I’m NOT even a sushi lover! Well friends, this restaurant changed me. After years of expressing my dislike of sushi — I can no longer say that’s true. After having the dreaded… twenty minute. yet daily conversation with my husband, «what should we eat for dinner» we made the impulsive decision to try out J&C House. Mainly because I was really craving PHO and it’s pretty much the only place that has it near Herriman. The ambiance was definitely«sushi bar /Asian fusion», very well maintained with a fun kick of Asian tunes. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive to our needs. Their menu has anything and everything! I love that they included pictures that didn’t look like were stolen from a run down 80’s restaurant. I ordered the beef noodle PHO and my husband order Kung Pao Chicken. It wasn’t long after watching the Sushi Chef’s and reading great reviews about their sushi that I knew I made the wrong order. My husband and I decided on the Tiger Eye Roll and never looked back. The PHO itself was actually pretty meh. Not a lot of meet /flavor and whole lotta noodles! Their definitely not known for the PHO. Stick to the sushi! My husband said he enjoyed the Kung Pao Chicken, however, I was too busy eating all the sushi to try it out. Now to the good part — the SUSHI. Like I said, the sushi change me. Since I can actually say I enjoy sushi, I really don’t know how to describe it other than saying it had a crunch, perfectly sauced, and it was delicious! From what my husband said, it was at a great price so that’s always a plus in my book! I’ll definitely be going back to try out more sushi! I’m giving this 4 stars because I don’t really know my sushi. I’ll reevaluate when I’m an experienced sushi guru.

We greatly enjoy the Fortune Cookie Asian restaurant on 13400 S and this Asian restaurant on 12600 S. Both have excellent sushi. We are new to sushi so have appreciated recommendations from others. I always enjoy tempura and General Tso’s chicken. Portions are on the large side, so we enjoy family style for 4 – 6 people. Thereby, we enjoy a smaller sample of several, varied dishes. This is a smaller, more compact restaurant than the Fortune Cookie. It is also more brightly lit. Both are very comfortable and offer wonderful Asian cuisine! I recommend reservations, especially weekend evenings. I appreciate that these are easily arranged through Unilocal

Very good sushi at this Chinese/Japanese fusion restaurant. Maybe«fusion» is the wrong word. It’s a restaurant that serves Chinese dishes and Japanese dishes, but not mixed together(like no «sweet and sour chicken sushi» or anything ridiculous like that). I went for the sushi, and the sashimi all tasted fresh and had good texture. Everything is precisely prepared and beautifully presented and the maki rolls have a good rice-to-filling balance and fresh ingredients(no brown avocado to be seen). I really appreciate the finesse they apply to their craft. Everything is in harmony – the stickiness of the rice, the perfectly sliced fish, the structure of the rolls – they pay attention to it all. Sushi is an art and they’ve got it down. The menu has quite a few Chinese options like for your less-adventurous friends, not just a token item or two, so I think it makes a nice place for a small group to eat. It’s an average price for a sushi place(my meal was about $ 25), and the service was good. Five stars.

I wasn’t sure I could trust sushi priced at $ 7 – 8 a roll, but I’m so glad I gave it a chance. We love this place so much we almost don’t want to tell people about it, but the secret is clearly out since the joint is hopping even on week nights, so there isn’t much to lose In short, there is no better value for sushi in the valley, and that includes the all you can eat places. The rolls here are perfectly sized(not too big or too skimpy), well made, fresh, and yummy. The menu is almost too big with all kinds of rolls I haven’t seen anywhere else. This is high quality sushi at grocery store prices. I’m in heaven. Our first visit we got complimentary cucumber salad, miso, tempura veggies, four rolls, and fried ice cream for about $ 50 with tip. Our typical order ends up being about $ 30-$ 35 dollars for two people. For non-sushi people there are bentos and a huge selection of Chinese food and other Asian dishes. I haven’t tried them, so I can’t speak to that side of the menu. Bentos are 20% off during lunch hours and come with a ton of food for about $ 8. As if all of this weren’t enough, they deliver! I’m just so happy I found this place. I recommend these rolls: executive, dancing dragon, ichi, and Phoenix for non fish eaters.

If you want decent sushi for a decent price, you can’t go wrong here. We came here for my wife’s birthday, who wanted sushi around noon on a sunday. They were open. The place is really clean, and you gotta appreciate that. When you roll into a strip mall for a meal that consists mainly of raw fish, that is a factor you wonder about. At least I do. They do a really nice job here. Kudos the manager. The service is killer. Very attentive, but not in your face. They just notice if you need a thing, and seem to show up and ask. More restaurants could learn from this place. That part I really loved. The menu was the best I’d ever had in any sushi place. Pictures, variety, and descriptions. They made it easy to order something you’d like. The cucumber salad was really quite excellent and flavorful. I got excited for everything else… But the Sushi? Gah, I hate to say it, but I really didn’t love it. It had a mushy, different texture and not a lot of flavor. We came in with a party of 8, so we ordered a lot of rolls and even some entrees. The presentation was great, but I really didn’t love the food. The wasabi was squooze out of a tube. Eh, so much promise, not very good sushi. But, you can’t beat the price. I was expecting 50 dollars more for the 8 people we brought in. If you’re on a budget, this might be the place. Rolls are cheaper here. A-OK. Its not my favorite. This place isn’t going to blow your mind, and you’ll have enough money to take your girl to a movie with popcorn afterward. Not a bad deal.

Trying new sushi in South Jordan Utah can be scary. I am so glad I left my fears at the door and tried this new place! First off, the staff is amazing. They are there to make sure you enjoy your meal and are constantly checking on you. Our server did not hesitate to suggest his favorites. He was friendly and nice. I was very impressed with him. Next, food, oh yes the food! We tried a little mix of everything and were happy we did. The sushi was tasty and the Chinese food were worth going back for again and again. I was extremely impressed with their signature rolls and hand rolls. The sweet and sour chicken was delicious too. To finish the meal, they brought us a sample of thief new desert on the house. It also was extremely tasty. The sushi was discounted, which made the check a pleasant surprise. I will for sure make this a new local favorite.
