Food is super tasty. Great burger. Service is really slow. Great place to go if you are not in a hurry.

Salad stinks; full of iceberg lettuce(which has no nutritional value whatsoever). The onion rings were string-sized, if that’s your thing. I also tried-out their beefalo patty. It was seasoned OK, but kind of dry. They were trying to fix the yogurt machine, and for a good 20 minutes it was whirring an annoying, very loud noise throughout the restaurant.

I didn’t try the custard, but I would rate the bombdiggity with bacon in the top 5 burgers in the state. Get onion straws on the burger. Free syrups(real vanilla) to put in your soda was also a nice touch. Clean place, quick service.

Beefaloes are people too! Wait, no they aren’t. But they are pretty delicious. I had a «bomb» which is a ¼ burger, with cheese, along with corn chili and a side salad. The salad was simple, but obviously freshly made and prepared by hand. The ranch dressing was fantastic! The chili had a good flavor, but could definitely use some more HEAT, both from the spices as well as the grill/microwave. It was not piping hot, not even close. But it was okay. Now on to the main event, the main attraction, the burger. It was good. That’s about as excited as it made me. First of all, they cooked nearly every drop of moisture out of the patty. It wasn’t seasoned enough and the condiments were lacking flavor. If the burger had been slightly less«done,» the juiciness would have probably made the beefalo the star of the show, and the bun and condiments would have been«extras.» But with the overcooked, under-seasoned, patty, the whole thing was just sort of bland. If I give Bomdiggitys(I really dislike that name, btw) another try, I’ll ask them to make my burger medium-rare and see if that helps.

Stopped in on a recent trip here after my kid talked highly about them. Awesome Beefalo Burgers!!! I love Buffalo, so I was a fan when I walked in. This place met my high expectations and then some. Cooked to order, so it takes a few minutes. If you want a typical«fast-food» burger, go to Jack-In-The-Box. If you want a quality burger, this is the one! Even my super picky wife who doesn’t like ground beef loved it! Also tried the frozen custard, very yummy!

It’s healthier than a beef burger, that is a plus. on the downside, I waited way too long for a burger. I had been wanting to try Bombdiggitys for a long time but don’t make it out to Riverton more than a couple times a year. I appreciate that it is a local restaurant and their effort to bring something a little different. It’s pretty good, but not standout. The onion rings and shakes are slightly above average.

Burgers were a bit over cooked. The sauce to go on the burgers was delicious, just was wasted on the dry meat. The custard was delicious. Was hoping for something better was sorely disappointed.

If your mother knew the atrocities you are committing in the name of frozen custard she would smack the taste of this substandard ingredients out of your mouth. We tried the red raspberry custard with pineapple and strawberry. The strawberries were from a frozen bag and the pineapple was canned. The custard was mediocre at best and the lack of fresh ingredients was just too much for me to handle. When we pulled up there was a sign that said to pull around to the window and honk to get their attention for service. We really didn’t interact a lot with them so I can’t say if they were nice or not. Hell they may be descendants of Gandhi and awesome people, we will never know as this brutal custard rape left us feeling abused and alone. As god is my witness I will never eat sub-par custard again.

Hard to believe the burger here is healthier than chicken. I had the ½ pound burger and it was okay. It reminded me of a decent homemade burger, but was way too dry for my liking. The one thing I did like about the meal was finding out how healthy it is. The meat they use(beefalo) is from the owner’s own ranch, is grass fed, not pumped with a bunch of hormones, and is healthier for you than chicken. Crazy. A burger that’s better for you than chicken? Now how can you not appreciate that?!

Custard 5 stars. Beefallo Burgars 4 stars. Overall 4 stars. I really liked how they keep the veggies nice and cold and the beefallo nice and hot until you put it together. It gave it a nice crunch from the greens. The custard was great and I’d go back for that, but I think Lucky 13(a bar for those that don’t know) has ruined me from wanting any other burger at the moment.

Bombdiggity’s! Their fries and fry sauce are fantastic. Om nom. The burger was good. It was kind of dry, but with the lower fat content it’s understandable. If I go inside next time I think I can douse it in some sort of sauce to help the dryness. Service was pretty quick at the drive-thru. It was about the same wait as In-n-Out, maybe a touch longer. The custard was really good. Better than Culver’s. There was not enough cookie dough in my frozen bomb though, and this saddens me. Next time I will ask for extra cookie dough and we will see what happens. If nothing else I’d go here for the fries. But I can’t wait to take my husband and see if he likes the custard. They have much more variety than Culver’s and the flavor of the custard is just… custardly phenomenal.

Bombdiggitys is a good place. Every time I drive by I sometimes wonder if they’re still open and it seems like it’s a place that doesn’t see a whole lot of traffic but it should, at least once from passerby’s. Give it a try. Especially if you like a more healthy alternative burger and not have to settle for a tofu, meatless, or veggie burger alternative. Beefalo is great. Be aware that it’s not the same as traditional hamburger(mine was a little drier) but the flavor is still there… plus everything is nice and fresh. Three likes… 1. Awesomely(yes that’s word) fresh bun 2. Healthier MEAT 3. Great service, kind of a small home town type of feel to a fast food restaurant Three things they could improve on… 1. Better location/marketing(need to make sure you look like you’re open from the outside and a place people want to go) 2. Advertising. For me I wouldn’t know this place existed if I hadn’t drove by a couple of times 3. More topping options for the burger I think I’ll be bringing my family in for a good burgers, fries, onion strips and maybe try the custard this time around. Who knows this might be a regular joint we eat at from here on out.

Hey, you say you want«farm to table?» How about a farm to table burger joint? The owner of Bomdiggity’s owns the ranch that supplies his restaurant. He’ll be tending to his beefalo(see Jeffrey’s review if you don’t know what beefalo is) one day, and the next day he’ll be slinging burgers and greeting customers at his shop. Really nice guy. And the burgers are juicy and flavorful. His fries are the battered variety, which I tend to really like. Another unique aspect of this place? They make delicious custard, which you can buy fresh in a cone or prepacked in their freezer. I picked up a whole quart of lemon chiffon custard for $ 5 the other day. And it was delicious. Also, the hot dog is amazing. Nicely cooked with the right amount of crispity goodness on the outside make this one of my favorite dogs around. Sometimes they run out of hot dogs, so ask them if they have them in stock. Prices are what you’d expect for a specialty burger. You’ll be looking around 8 or 9 bucks for a combo meal. But give it a shot. I think you’ll like it. Also, this isn’t fast food, so be prepared to wait a few minutes as they get your food ready.

BEEFALO!!! I thought it was a joke. Until I started reading the signs around the place. Beefalo is for real. I had the pleasure of meeting Steve, one of the owners, at a training for work. During our lunch break we all decided to head over to Bomb Diggitys about a 5 minute drive away. Prices were a little more than your usual burger and fry joint, but don’t be fooled. This is not your usual burger and fry joint. The beefalo are grass fed and hand raised. No hormones or antibiotics. Plus the meat is leaner with plenty of protein. Which is important to me. I do sometimes attempt to eat a little better than normal. :) I also had the pleasure of actually eating the food. I got the Bombdiggity(watching my weight ha!), which is a ½ lb of meat with cheese, pickles, tomato, lettuce and onions which I chose to omit. Plus a sauce reminisecent of fry sauce with a little kick to it. The meat was still moist and perfectly cooked, the bun was soft and buttery. It was a delicious burger. I loved the bolder flavor of the meat as opposed to just a plain old hamburger. The fries were also crispy and had a thicker batter on them. ONe of my coworkers said he would come back just for the fries. But for me, the standout is definitely the meat and the custard. I tried the caramel cashew. MMMMMMMMMMM. ETA: This is not my favorite restaraunt ever, but as far as burgers go it deserves its 5 stars.

Man I wanted to be impressed with this place. All the good reviews, the fact that I love frozen custard, the idea behind the place. Unfortunately this place is suffering from some big time learning curves right now. I will start with the good. Burger was good if not great, but the quality of ingredients is obvious. They are trying to put together a high quality product. The fries and the onion straws were both excellent, and the dipping sauces, and available BBQ sauces were all quite good. Prices were all a tad high for the product, especially the slider meal that my wife got, but for a family run locally grown product I can accept that. Now for the bad. Once we had eaten our dinner I went up and ordered my normal frozen custard/shake of choice, hot fudge and peanut butter. I have ordered this shake at more custard and ice cream shops than I can count. This was easily the worst rendition I have had. When the shake was brought out it was in a cup larger than normal(one of the drink ones) and the 8 or 9 year old girl that brought it out to us explained that the hot fudge had melted the custard and so it was soupy and thus the larger cup. The problem was it wasn’t just soupy it was soupy with chunks of non mixed ice cream. It wasn’t creamy, it had turned into a mix of gelatinous chunks and soupy melt. I don’t know why you offer hot fudge as a mix in if you don’t know how to make it work with your product. There wasn’t even an apology for making such a mess. I would probably give the place another shot and try a different shake, but with the number of custard places around that do know how to make me a proper hot fudge and peanut butter shake it probably won’t be for a while.

I had the ½ pound beefalo burger and it was really good. There are signs all over the restaurant touting the health benefits of buffalo when compared to beef, and how eating at Bombdiggity’s is equivalent to «eating healthy». But all such references become moot when you order, as I did, cheese and bacon on your burger, along with a side of battered french fries, fry sauce, and a lemonade. Four hours later, and I’m still bloated from eating healthy at Bombdiggity’s. Thumbs up for the flavor and texture of the buffalo meat, the soft but sturdy bun, and the thick cut bacon. One more strip of the pork flesh would have been nice. The fries were hot and crispy. The service was very friendly and attentive. But points must be docked for the fake(e.g. Chesney, Paisley, et al.) country music on the stereo. Sorry, I just can’t deal with it.

Prior to my introduction to Bombdiggity’s, I was not terribly familiar with Beefalo. In fact, if I’m being honest I thought it was a fairy tale creature, akin to the jackalope and liger. Turns out, it’s a surprisingly healthy and delicious cross between a cow and a bison(buffalo). And, yes, they really do exist, and are raised on the owner’s farm in Duchesne. Bojangles the Beefalo has his photo on the wall.(In a bit of a horrific twist, on the opposite Wall of Fame reside the photos of those patrons who have eaten award-winning quantities of Bojangles’ friends, in up to 4 pound portions. Yikes.) Other reviewers have already covered the details of beefalo’s nutrition facts, which are also prominently hanging on the wall. See for yourself. It’s impressive… and as aforementioned, very very tasty. The burgers come in The Itty Bitty(slider-size), The Bomb(¼ pound), The Bombdiggity(½ pound), and The Bodacious Bomb(full pound). We ordered up two aptly sized Bombs. I was expecting to be able to detect a taste difference in the meat from regular beef burgers. And I was right. The meat is actually more flavorful than burgers i’ve had pretty much anywhere else. Very delicious. Good, fresh toppings — no flimsy pinkish tomatoes or milky white lettuce here. Two thumbs up and an around-the-world-and-back snap from us both! On the side, we tried the incredibly good fries and fry sauce, and something they call Onion Strings. We quickly learned that these are much easier to dip in the heavenly fry sauce than Onion Rings, which are notorious for requiring you to fold them in half. Unreasonable. Try these, you’ll love them. Now, others have also mentioned the custard, but I guess I forgot how delish frozen custard is. Theirs is so creamy and fresh, with options for cones, cups, or shakes with the standard fruit/nut/candy mix-ins, you name it. They serve vanilla and chocolate based custard, and typically one daily special flavor — ours was lemon. Mmmm, tempting. But I’m female, and therefore required by femandate to go with the chocolate… adding in fresh bananas and strawberries. I can’t type the sounds I made, but let me just say they garnered some looks of shock, followed by understanding. Hubby slurped down his vanilla shake with chocolate syrup and Heath Bar. His mile-wide smile said it all. Confession time: driving past this place when it first opened, I thought to myself, «Oh sure, that’s what we need, another burger joint. I’ll not be trying that anytime soon.» I formally apologize to myself. I’ve already been back, and taken friends. DISCLAIMER: Being of sound mind and … well, sound mind, I freely admit to holding back a full star because of the country music played exclusively in this place. Listen, I get that it’s Riverton. But please, change it up just a little for those of us who can’t abide the incessant twang of Kenny Paisley Underwood and The Dang Somebody’s with our burger and fries. Please.

Beefalo. It’s what’s for dinner. That’s what’s on the menu at Bombdiggitys –beefalo. What is this mystical creature, you ask? Is it part beef, and part buffalo? Why, yes it is. Beefalo comes from a cross between cattle and bison, and carries with it some interesting characteristics. The Cliff Notes version is this: less fat, less cholesterol, fewer calories. Do they make healthy burgers? That may be an oxymoron. But is it a healthier(and tasty) alternative to a burger? Yup. Bombdiggitys get their beefalo from their own farm. In fact, it was a farmer/rancher who began selling beefalo burgers at the farmers market who runs the restaurant. When demand became overwhelming at the market he toyed with idea for some time. While out on the tractor one day, the chutzpah struck, he made a phone call, and the wheels were set into motion. Today the beefalo come from ranches in Duchesne and Salina, and are touted to be antibiotic and hormone free. Here’s a little secret: you can actually buy beefalo steaks and roasts to take home and cook yourself if you ask them at the front counter. Managing the beefalo from ranch to restaurant also has a huge advantage when it comes to quality. Every burger that is sold goes from walking animal to your tray in burger form in less than a week. Less. Than. A. Week. That means that each burger comes from one — and only one — animal and is super fresh. The burgers also carry with them some other characteristics that may be a little more interesting. Because of the low fat content, you’re probably not going to get a patty dripping with grease. Beefalo is lean, and the patties are lean. Still moist, but not gushing like regular beef. You can order a couple of different sizes – the ½lb Bombdiggity Burger being one of the most popular. Each burger comes on a bun made from a local bakery which is lightly toasted before being served. Choose from a couple of sauces on the counter. I liked the kikkin sauce, a vinegary bbq-esque spread with a little zing to it. Choose from a whole host of add-ons. You may want to go with a smaller patty and add a pile of fixins if you’re the«variety is the spice of life» type. The chili was excellent and on my first spoonful I was whisked away to the ranch. Generous chunks of browned ground beefalo, beans, corn; perfection. They also sell an all-beefalo hot dog. It’s cut in the famous criss-cross fashion and the skin had that hard-to-achieve crunch to it. Again, it’s not as moist because of the fat content, but the bun was great, and with a bunch of chili and the kikkin sauce with mustard I was loving every bite. The dog starts at $ 1.99 and goes up with add-ons. Speaking of price, you do pay somewhat of a premium for the hard-to-find beefalo. If you’re after a cheap burger, this is not the place for you. It’s not bad($ 6.49 for a ½lb burger, add $ 2.50 for a combo) but there are cheaper burgers to be had. Just know what you’re getting and if it’s important to you, you won’t mind a bit to pay and extra buck or two. Since opening in April, they’ve slowly been working out the kinks. It’s probably still not operating at all-pistons running(they’ve not yet opened the drive-thru because they’re still working on massaging their processes) so be a little patient. Everything is cooked to order. That brings us to the ice cream portion of the evening. I had my classic chocolate banana shake. Since it was actually a hot fudge-banana shake, I can’t really compare it to anything. It was good, so I’ll be back to try the choco-banana and see how I feel. Their ice cream isn’t ice cream at all. It’s custard. And I like custard. I didn’t know what to expect from Bombdiggitys, but they delivered a unique and worthwhile dining experience. It’s family run, locally-sourced, and unique in its offerings. The space is cute(without being precious) and surprisingly polished for a one-off store. While they’re still slowly finding their way, they’re gaining momentum and serving up some great food along the way.
