As a kid it was super awesome coming here cause I thought the pasta was superb, plus I’m a huge pasta lover. However after coming back many years later I realized it’s just another restaurant that is just decent. Food(3⁄5): they have a great selection of pastas and their famous«3 course meal.» You can choose a soup or salad. There’s also a load of bread they give with a cute scoop of butter. You pick your main dish, and you can get vanilla or spumoni ice cream to top it off. I suggest the salad with their creamy pesto dressing. The crab ravioli wasn’t bad, however I was disappointed at how mushy it was and the best thing that helped flavor up the mush crab was their pesto sauce! Their bread was delicious and the ice cream was good. I think it’s nice they offer so many complimentary items along with your meal. But their pastas are just decent. Service(4⁄5): service overall was fantastic. I’ve read precious reviews that seemed to have bad service, but our waiter was a fantastic young gentleman who did a great job with greeting us and making sure we were taken care of. Ambience Interior(2⁄5): it was absolutely WAYTOODARK. We had a cute little lamp we had to drag to the middle of our table because we couldn’t even read our menu! It’s very hard to enjoy your food when it’s so dark. Some seating has more light and more lamps, they definitely need to add that to all their booths. Sadly. I have not found a solid pasta place yet. I hope to someday though. Places like spaghetti factory and Olive Garden that was once super appealing to me as a child, now just doesn’t do it.

Always love it here. You know what you are getting and service is always attentive. Especially good for large parties. It’s spaghetti with choice of sauces – meat, mushroom, white clam sauce… They have specialty items– chicken parm/sausage and meatball are some. Dinner includes salad or soup, and bread and scoop of ice cream. Best deal

I could give this place a Zero I would. Went here for my kids to sit inside the trolley: –place smells horrible, reminiscent of an abandoned old building –SERVICE was HORRIBLE. We never met our server, they never refilled our drinks, and took almost 20m to give us our check and 15m for our change! The person taking our order wasn’t our server but couldn’t even articulate herself to explain the menu options or give feedback about the food. –FOOD: never again. Pasta was undercooked and food came out cold. We waited almost 40m for food and they were simple orders and only 4 of us, I didn’t order for myself. DONOTGOHERE. First and last time we ever come here.

Can I say the best? It really is the best food for the amazing price. I’ve been going to the Spaghetti Factory for so many years. Been to Newport, Fullerton, Riverside, LA and Duarte. I’m a huge fan of spaghetti with rich meat sause! I even get the hardy platter. yum

This is the best place to dine for an event or party or large family. They have the ability to seat very large parties of 10+(just make sure you make reservations so they can have the staff). I recently visited for my wife’s birthday w/a party of 20. They were prompt and ready right at my reservation time and we were seated immediately.(Impressive, given my wife’s bday fell on grad weekend and it was a full house). The staff was attentive and friendly. The restaurant was clean and well lit. The food quality and portions are great as well as affordable. My entire party enjoyed themselves and i would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a place for a family outing or event.

We brought a school group of 25 middle schoolers here for dinner on a Thursday night. The staff and management was so accommodating upon arrival. Our food was served quickly and they came back to check on is frequently. Students loved it!!! Only 4 stars because booking was so difficult. I emailed and called multiple times weeks ahead and got no response to make a reservation until finally when I told them in an email how many times I’d tried to contact and that we might go somewhere else. Glad we didn’t have to!

Although we’ve been to other locations this by far is my favorite. We are always seated quickly, the staff is amazing, and you can’t beat the prices,(also the parking in this location is awesome). When we go we always order the spinach tortellini. It’s my absolute favorite! It’s creamy but not too rich and it’s just the right amount of tortellini. You get the option of soup or salad to start and the he house dressing, which is a pesto ranch is the best and the dinner is finished off with spumoni. 3 course meal at an unbelievable price.

I like this place, when we come the service is great and I love that you get free dessert with your meal. I always have the same thing spinach and cheese ravioli with Alfredo sauce and I ask them to add crush red pepper.

Having not eaten at a Spaghetti Factory since I was just a lad, I came here for a work(someone else’s work) event a couple months ago. What I remembered being a perfectly average meal in a unique looking restaurant still rings true 20 years later. The pasta is cooked pretty well, the sauce is pretty tasty, but it’s all pretty average. Except for the service, which was sluggish at best(though friendly). Love the historic building and the unique interior with the trolley. All in all, while I enjoyed my salad and spaghetti with meat sauce, I didn’t leave feeling the need to come back any time soon.

Wonderful food and atmosphere. The service was great and the balloon figure maker man was very talented and friendly as he made spectacular balloon figures for my Granddaughters. The food was so flavorful and the selections were many. I had the Mitzura Cheese Sauce and the White Clam Sauce over spaghetti. It was fabulous! Not the stagnate sauces of most franchise restraunts. The appetizers were flavorful and original.

Can never go wrong with eating at old spaghetti factory! The salad is amazing with the pesto dressing. The one on sourdough bread is delicious with the garlic butter. We ordered the spaghetti with brown butter and Mizzithra cheese!!! Add a side of marinara sauce!!! Yum!!! Free the money ice cream for dessert. Our bill was $ 14!!! For two people! Please come to the South Bay Area and build a spaghetti factory!

It’s nostalgic for me. We had a lot of birthday celebrations at the Newport Beach Location when I was a kid. I still order the exact same meal: managers special half mizithra cheese and half clam sauce. My office is in Riverside so we come here for lunch and have had several parties catered by them. Great location, nice décor, and great staff. Food is consistently good. They are always nice and you know what to expect. I am not a fan of chain restaurants but OSF does an excellent job with everything they do.

Always love spaghetti factory. Favorite place to come for a quick, delicious, and affordable dinner. Had the chicken parmigiana, friends had shrimp Alfredo, and managers favorite(meat and mizzithra). All wonderful. Beer, salad, appetizer, and still leaving here under $ 50 for two.

The Old Spaghetti Factory is a chain restaurant begun that started back in early 1969 in Portland, Oregon. They have locations all over the country, most of which are in California, Oregon, and Washington. The best part about the The Old Spaghetti Factory is its ability to deliver a complete dinner(salad, bread, spaghetti entrée, beverage and dessert) for a very reasonable price. The bread is a freshly baked loaf and is served with garlic butter and regular butter, your choice to add. The dessert offers spumoni ice cream, which is always a treat, or vanilla. Another interesting part of your visit is the interior. Each is different, naturally and many use antiques and other interior improvements, including a centerpiece streetcar and brass headboards that serve as bench backs. There’s a distinct smell in most locations, and somebody told me that they ferment their own cheese in-house. Is that true? If so, interesting… And like all other Old Spaghetti Factories everywhere, you will have to wait! It can get very busy, but it’s worth it to get your fill of pasta.

Wednesday evening at almost about 5:00. The place was basically empty. There was a Bachelorette party near the back and stragglers in the bar. There were 3 families in the caboose. We were asked to have a seat and waited about 10 minutes to be called. We were directed to the caboose. The filled caboose. We were a party of 4 and 2 of us would be back to back chairs with people and my chosen seat would be right at the exit/entrance and I would have to watch my right arm at all times for people and trays. We asked to be seated elsewhere and Ms. Attitude was not happy about that. She said«You will have to go have a sear, while we find out where to put you».YES, because it was so packed with the empty tables everywhere! We sat down and 2 minutes later were called to a much better table. Waitress had a better attitude and was nice. The food ahh… whatever. I had the chicken with mushrooms and brown butter spaghetti. Ehhh nothing to sing about, but better than some. The marinara sauce for the appetizer bread sticks was delicious. I also really liked that the side salad is kept cold and the lettuce was chilled. Would I go back, uh for a group party maybe, for a family dinner NO. The décor is lovely and the chandeliers are a conversation piece.

Not only was the food mediocre and lousy, but the restaurant contained unwanted guests; roaches. This repulsing discovery only added to my disgust and distaste of the restaurant. Although the staff was friendly and attentive, not even the atmosphere was enough to save my dinner. If you’re seeking a delicious, clean and fancy place to bring the family — stay clear of this restaurant and seek your dining elsewhere.

I came here with a big group of people and we sat in the trolley car. We arrived within 15 minutes of their opening so it was pretty empty. Our waiter was really sweet and really attentive to our group with the different orders and requests. I tried something new this time and I had the meat lover’s plate. Your entrée comes with salad or soup with a scoop of ice cream for dessert. It’s a really huge portion that is good for two people. The sausage is really tasty, the meatball was decent. I’ve been to several OSF and I swear I ask them what soup they have when they ask, «Soup or salad?» And it’s ALWAYS minestrone. Not there’s anything wrong with minestrone, but I think that’s all they offer. Plenty of street parking in front and do not park at the Thai restaurant across the street.

This place is really terrible… I came here with the bf and we were thinking this place must be pretty decent, you just can go wrong with italian food. But boy was I wrong! This was not worth the price we paid or even half the price of what each entrée cost. Everything was kind of under-average. The service too, it was pretty… no bueno… I’m not gonna lie.
