First time going here and it won’t be the last. Everything about this place encouraged us to make this our usual spot. Great attentive customer service, good ambiance, UHHMAZING food! We had the amazing salmon, super sexy, baked lobster roll all were delicious beyond expectation. We sat at the sushi bar and every roll we seen wanted us to try it! At the start, we were greeted with a free appetizer which got our mouth watering for more. I definitely will be making this my usual spot. If your looking for amazing sushi, Sushi OK is your spot!

I come here once a week for lunch. They offer a special– 2 plates for $ 15. The sushi is always amazing and fresh. The chefs are very creative and give different presentations. Great service and very friendly. Highly recommend this place for sushi in Riverside. My favorites– Red Dragon, Mexican, 911, and baked lobster rolls.

One of the worst meals I have ever had. The only thing going for it was food was served at appropriate temperature. I ordered ths gyoza, which was deep fried and very crunchy. The dipping sauce was tempura sauce. Since the gyoza was so disappointing, I went for something simple, California rolls. Wrong! Small roll with crab(I think) salad like filling with a smidgen of avocado and maybe a teeny tiny sliver of cucumber, more disappointing. My main was ths tempura udon. The tempura was tough and greesy. The broth was watery with little flavor, there were skimpy udon noodles in the broth and not much else. The soup was served hot as the surface of the sun hot. When it cooled enough to taste, I was so disappointed with the flavor, I left the entire bowl. My 17 year old got the terriyaki chicken. He enjoyed his meal. Service was very poor. Although there were four employees to only two tables of patrons. The service staff was somewhat catatonic and robot like. Food was served hot and in a timely manner, but there was no follow up on satisfaction of the food, etc.

The atmosphere of this place is simply wonderful! They have lights and lanterns that hang from the walls which makes it a beautiful date place. Also, the waiters are extremely friendly and will always make you feel welcome and give you a laugh. The food is delicious as well. I always order the baked salmon roll which is never a disappointment.

Not from around riverside and just stopped by late night. They were more than accommodating even tho we didn’t come much before they closed. Every roll was amazing. The hot & hot with the jalepeno poppers. Andy was server and he was awesome and made our experience so fun. Even the sushi chef Sam behind the sushi bar got involved and helped celebrate my brothers birthday. The food and the servers and experience was more than we expected. Wish there was one closer to where I live.

Yessssssssss! I love sushi ok! The quality of fish is amazing and always feels like it’s melting in my mouth! The price is a bit high at times but since it is an individual sushi place, it’s understandable(: Food: I’ve gone a few times and each time, tried different things and I haven’t found anything I don’t like yet! My favorite are the half shell oysters and blue fin and toro, when they have them! Service: usually pretty good. I’ve only gone on weekdays so I don’t know what it’s like on weekends but no real complaints here! Overall: food is excellent! Service is superb! Ambiance and music choice is definitely a modern, warm type of joint. Will be back when I have money to splurge!

This place was surprisingly really good. We were welcomed by a very enthusiastic waiter, in my opinion was really cool. But my friend thought it was kind of weird. He said he was overly enthusiastic. All throughout our dinner he was super loud and entertaining. So I can see some people thinking he may be obnoxious. But, I thought he was super nice and attentive of our orders. All the waiters and waitresses were very nice and always came and refilled our water without having us call on them. I liked how they offered us gyoza on the house. They also give out free ice cream! Flavors being green tea, strawberry, or vanilla. It was kind of hard to scoop, but let it thaw for a few and it’ll be great! The decorations and ambience of the restaurant is really cute and well lit. One thing I didn’t like we’re the free edamame. It tasted funny and odd to me. Maybe we just got an odd bowl. But everything else is great! I would definitely come back here again!

The salmon was really fresh, so this place is one of the better alternatives to AYCE places in Riverside. They even give out complimentary crab cakes and ice cream too! We sat at the bar area, so most of the time the sushi chef took our orders, but the waitress and waiter working there were attentive and ready to help. The ambiance was pretty nice and relaxing, so I’d come back and try their other items!

I have mixed feeling about this place. My bf and I didn’t get the best service that night. Even though I understand that it was slightly a busy night for them. Having a hungry costumer wait for their sushi for over 20 mins was a bit too much don’t you think? My 1st time I came with my friend and we had great time and a funny waiter. But 2 nights ago it was very disappointing. Not to mentioned the moments when 3 different waiters came up to us and awkwardly asked if everything was okay? Like no dude. I ordered lemonade and you keep serving me water, you made us wait forever for 3 sets of sushi rolls, then you guys get offended because I asked to order more?! Anyways I don’t think we will be back. Buuuuut it is a new business and i wish them well. Oh yeah their Sushi though is on point. 9 out of 10 Service …Meh

If you want AYCE you’ve most definitely come to the wrong place! Sushi OK is the superior replacement for the previous establishment. Why should I go back? See the finer discussed points below. Deciding to break my holding pattern took a force of will, but while the trip cost me double compared to my usual AYCE place, Oishii Sushi, it is good to branch out and enjoy our far too short lives once in a while. Plus, I’m on vacation for a month… A Wednesday night is quiet here, and initially I was the only person sitting at the bar. Spacious, clean, and well lit, the dining area is in full view of several wall-mounted big screen televisions. The bar is toward the rear and affords a full view of the place. I was greeted warmly by Sam, the senior sushi chef. Service too was quick and professional, something that I appreciated throughout the evening. The food: being a la carte, I had to restrain myself somewhat, so I decided to try nigiri sushi I cannot get elsewhere in Riverside. High on the list was Spanish Mackarel, Salmon, seared Tuna, and a Baked Spicy Crawfish Roll. I reasoned that the roll would be rich and fill any void or craving for more food. What I did not expect was being given two specials on the house to try. The benefit of sitting at the bar. First came a fried crab cake that was so good it most definitely was not imitation meat. The second surprise was baby Hamachi, slightly firmer in texture to the usual stuff, but so fresh and tasty. Ergo the other fish, everything was fresh as can be and all but the Mackarel came with a slice of sashimi to augment the experience. The last amazing thing I ordered was Alaskan King Crab(spelled with a C, not a K), seared lightly, it was generously portioned and the flavor was heavenly. Sam said it’s his favorite and I can see why. I was feeling satisfied with my large Asahi, but Sam asked myself and the one other guy who arrived after me if we wanted warm sake shots. Hell yeah I want sake! So two rounds were provided. So cool of them to treat the bar guests this way. Feeling a little buzzed, my Crawfish Roll arrived in a bowl(kinda rhymes) and boy was it tasty! Prior to ordering I didn’t think I would leave satisfied in the tummy department, but the two specials and sake were the decisive factors that earn Sushi OK a full five stars. Quality, taste, service and a touch of class characterizes my first visit here, and certainly not the last either.

Thoroughly impressed. This actually might become my favorite sushi place in Riverside. I’m sure we’ve all been to Sushi Ashahi, but if you’re not in the mood for AYCE(getting as full as you possibly can to get all your money’s worth) then this is the place to go for sushi! Upon arrival, I noticed that there weren’t too many people inside and that there happened to be teppanyaki style grills toward the front of the restaurant. We were nicely greeted by the server who gladly seated us. It took my friend and I awhile to choose what to get because we were going to get the roll combination from the lunch special menu until we were told that the roll combo was only offered Monday through Thursday. We ended up ordering the dinner special sashimi combo 3×4(yellowtail, salmon, albacore, and tuna), salmon chunk roll(similar to poke style salmon sashimi), and the yellowtail fashion roll(spicy tuna, avocado, shrimp tempura, topped with slices of yellowtail). The sashimi combo came with miso soup and a ginger dressing salad. Both were good. The sashimi slices to all the fishes were amazing! The quality of the fish was impeccable in my opinion. The fish melted in my mouth and that was simply amazing. In addition, the pieces of tuna and albacore were topped with their own individual dressing. The tuna had a radish/wasabi onion like topping, which was extremely spicy so I removed it. The albacore had a ginger ponzu like spread on it, which really complimented the flavor of the fish. And both the salmon chunk and yellowtail fashion rolls were good. Nothing special but still good. No complaints there. Service was great! Both the male and female servers were both accommodating to my friend and I. We took quite awhile to choose what we wanted to order but they didn’t make us feel ashamed whatsoever for taking so long. Also, the chefs located at the sushi bars were, too, very helpful! Since the restaurant wasn’t too busy, they were able to see our table from a distance and often cued the servers to assist us when he noticed that we needed help. I definitely will be coming back here to try their other rolls that they have. I’m honestly surprised this place isn’t packed!

On our road trip back from Vegas, we searched Unilocal for a place to eat in Riverside and found this awesome little place. Coming in, it was actually pretty empty. I think it’s because people already got their fill earlier on the Labor Day weekend. Either way, we were hungry and are we glad that we went here. Service here is pretty nice. We got our drinks on time and it didn’t take long to get our orders and my god did we order a lot. Sushi Dinner Combo B — this included 8 assorted nigiri + a special roll of your choice. I chose the Black Dragon Roll which has eel + avocado on top of a tempura roll. It also includes a miso soup and side salad as an appetizer. Really filling! The nigiri were all really large and fresh. You get tuna, salmon, yellowtail, halibut, ono etc. The Black Dragon Roll was delicious. The tempura makes a big difference compared to the California roll. A small side note for this place is the spectacular presentation on every plate. Each one is a work of art. Good job sushi chefs! Overall, I really like this place. I haven’t found the killer order just yet that makes me want to come back. I’m jealous of those in Riverside who are able to visit this place often. Great sushi, great service and great restaurant.
