My boyfriend and I go here quite a bit and have always had a great time! Cheap drinks, great staff and a good time.

This bar is filled with warm, friendly, work-a-day people that like to have a good time. Drinks are cheep, and the waitresses quick to serve you. It’s a refreshing change to the corporate cookie cut bar scene.

There’s never a dull moment at the Runaway. Like the person before me said, you will definitley have a couple of resident«William Hung’s» singing karaōke to contend with. As far as food goes, most nights you can find a crock pot of something on the back table, free for the taking. I’ve seen bags of chips there before, but never seen anyone actually served any real ‘food’. They do lots of poker tourneys & poker nights & such — they also open up really early in the morning — like 6am to cater to those night-shifters. A really great divey-homey kind of a bar. And you can still smoke inside(for now!)

I love this place! They have great specials on certain nights, such as wednesday ladies nights, 50 cent draws on tuesdays, and $ 1 well drinks on mondays, and the atmosphere is great. The bartenders are friendly, and karaōke night is a blast. Plus you can smoke inside! Definitely my favorite dive bars in the area!

Venturing out to try somewhere new, I found this old lounge up in Riverside. «Lounge» reminds of something from the ‘70s, and this bar is definitely from then, if not before! Dive bar might be another term applied to this location… but it has its charms! When first arriving, it seems small, until you realize that there is a completely other room that has the pool tables and such. I found the drinks and prices were comparable to other places around town, and the crowd **very friendly and welcoming**! Now, if you’re looking for karaōke on the level of «American Idol» types such as Carrie Underwood or David Cook… you’re in the wrong place! If your tastes run more towards William Hung or «Pants on the Ground», you’ve found your home! Either my ears were completely out of tune, or their voices were… but it was fun nonetheless. Not sure about the food, as the only two things I asked for were unavailable. The drink specials did seem pretty good. A couple of times, the servers/bartenders even made their way around to offer drinks. I would say it seemed like mostly a 30 or so and up crowd, although there were a few younger people there. Smoking is allowed here in Riverside, but I didn’t seem to leave smelling like an ashtray like at some places. I had a nice time, and look forward to visiting again!
