Interesting that William/Billy(the owner) was the WORST person ever to deal with in the death of my 26 year old nephew. The experience we had with him was appalling. He showed no compassion for the loss of a healthy 26 year old son to sudden cardiac arrest, was dismissive of the questions asked by the parents, didn’t seem to be able to hear the answers to his questions, and overall was unprofessional. He seemed to think that name-dropping of ministers he knows and chit chat about them and their wives was appropriate while meeting with a grieving family. His approach was more appropriate to a used car sales room. When he contacted the father two days later, Billy told him«shame on you» for not contacting him immediately with the date and time of the church service for the young man. He disgustedly told the father that they would need to have a long sleeved shirt«since they took bones out of his arms and they’ll have to be covered up». The young man had been able to donate several tissues including bones to benefit those still living, which was very commendable. Really, really disgusting to have any family treated that way…

We have used Preston and Simons for both my grandfather’s and grandmother’s services. The reasons being that William, the owner, is very kind and understanding to the needs of the families. Yes, the building is old, but it is historical and been in the family for generations. The prices are reasonable and he does not nickel and dime. They handle everything for you, making the difficult times more manageable. As to the person who complained about homeless people, it is due to the location, it isn’t the mortuary’s fault. It is just unfortunate, but does not reflect the mortuary’s operations and business.

Billy and the staff at Preston and Simons are amazing. We set up a trust about 4 years ago for my Father in Law. He passed last week and everything was taken care of by the Mortuary. It was a difficult time as you can imagine. It was not a worry because they new what my father in law wanted and handled everything. They delt with many questions from both sides of the family and did not get upset with some of the craziness. The services were perfect and I could not have asked for anything more. Thank you so much Billy and staff for making a difficult time as easy as possible

Was immediately turned off by this place as soon as we walked in. There was a homeless person outside by the entrance. Once we opened the door, the carpet was disgusting. The lady at the front was a little rude as she told us everyone else was gone and wouldn’t be able to discuss services with us. She allowed us to look around. The carpet was old, the building was run-down and depressing, and the place smelled like dead old lady perfume. If you love your loved one, pick a place that allows them to maintain some dignity. We only looked at this place because we heard they were reasonably priced. Turns out, there was a reason why. We got out of there as quickly as possible.
