I went there today… I had heard that it was very good and it’s all. that its all you can eat. so I was excited to try out the place. well let me tell you it’s not that great. .it’s okay. it’s felt like I was eating sushi that you buy from your local supermarket. The only good thing is that it’s all. you can eat. I don’t think I will be coming here again.

My fav sushi restaurant; I eat here at least twice a month. Staff is great, May takes care of me. The food is fresh and the salmon in particular is just so good! Now I’m hungry.

This is my 2nd review for this location. It’s still just as good as it was when my first review was written, if not better. There was a different manager in the past and she always had an angry look on her face. Food was still legit tho. Now they have a staff that’s always happy. Food comes quickly, well prepared, and artistic. Wait is fairly short. They also have a party/overflow room. Check out the specialty rolls that’s they have on display behind the sushi bar on the white board. Never disappointed!

They state that their restaurant closes at 10 however, they offer last call around 9 pm so don’t plan to show up past then. Food was decent but again, if you show up around 9 pm on weekends then expect to feel unwelcomed. I’ve worked in the service industry and its weird how soon they offer last call. Really disappointed on service when they should still cater to customers during business hours.

They have one overarching problem: customer service close to closing. When I say«close to closing», I’m referring to an hour before they close. They make you feel like you’re unwelcome after 9PM when they close at 10PM, which is a huge problem for obvious reasons. Food is decent, but it’s nullified by the visit to your table an hour before closing with this inquiry: «Are you planning on staying here much longer? We’re about to close.» After I pay over $ 100 for a 2-person dinner, the waiters and waitresses can relax while we finish our meal and drinks, well within business hours. This family-owned restaurant didn’t carry over its family values. There are far better sushi restaurants in the IE who welcome you during(and after) business hours.

The sushi is good here as well as the fish rice proportion. The staff is very friendly and they always tend to you quickly. The décor is pretty inside and it’s a very cozy place to eat, very clean also. The thing I like about the most is the ambience. It’s not super chaotic loud.

We love this place — consistently good quality, fresh food, staff is always friendly, and even when it’s ultra-busy we never have to wait too long! Kevin is an awesome sushi chef, remembers what you like and how you like it. Favorite servers Noelle and Michael, always have a smile on, no matter how crazy busy it gets — tonight Michael got 6 tables all at once in the back room, including us — awesome service as always — just business as usual! These guys rock!!!

Great sushi, great service, friendly people. Kevin behind the sushi bar knew what we liked after just 2or 3 visits. Noelle and Michael are great too. Glad we found Oishi Sushi!

Desperation Sushi folks. If you’ve never had good sushi, you probably won’t care but this was flavorless and funky. With so much good sushi(Shogun and Amagi) life is too short to spend money here.

Came here around 7pm and it was super busy. Our server was very attentive and so sweet. He made us feel very comfortable. He made sure that our drinks were always full, and even suggested a kids entrée which was not on the menu(teriyaki chicken with two California rolls on a bed of rice and steamed veggies). The only reason I give this place 4 stars instead of 5 is the wait time. We waited over 30 minutes for our rolls. Other than that, super cool place.

This use to be my go to place because their udon and yaki soba are so good. But it’s not worth it since the service has gone way down here. 2 tables were seated AFTER my table and they got drinks right away and we still had nothing. Tried to get attention of servers but they were oblivious. The other 2 tables than ordered and were served their food and we barely got our drinks??? I let our server know but she could care less she never apologized and just kept quiet the entire time. She never even asked if we were ready to order she just kind of stood there and waited after we complained we hadn’t been helped. I don’t know what happened it use to be a good time but not anymore.

This was was my favorite for a good while, spent alot of money there. I started noticing many new faces working the place, Chefs and floor staff. The service started declining every time after. Today was the last time I go there or recommend. The worst service, super slow and the new faces are clueless. have to almost do their job too wtf??? daughter was able to eat all her food before i had any of my ayce prepared. Edemame was all that i had. Asked various times about my food and same answer«soon». Even asked about speaking with the manager and answer was«she not here til later» obviously dont care enough to he around and handle the Growing mess of what used to be a great place to eat. Well i just paid for her stuff and we left. Never again.

Stopped by here for a quick bite to eat with some friends during lunch time. I got the salmon skin roll, which was decent. Wasn’t able to try any of the raw fish, which didn’t look that appealing from my friends’ dishes. The fish didn’t look that fresh, nor was it high quality, but I guess that’s expected from a place not near the ocean. The special rolls were also smaller than expected. As for my roll, I could’ve sworn it said it came with 8 pieces, but when it came out there was only 5 – 6 pieces. Luckily I wasn’t that hungry so at least I was full at the end, but with a normal appetite I definitely would have still been hungry. Nothing special, and the rolls were small. I’d look for a different place next time I’m in the area.

Idk. I have a different experience with this place everytime I come. I’ll start with the few«weird» things, then go on to the good. Its weird that they dont have mackerel, uni or real wasabi! On to the good This place is always busy. Thats important for me. I have a weird thing for thinking food is sitting haha. Its always really ckan and the staff is really cool. Love the specials they run. Today they had buy 1 large beer, get the second for 95 cents! Boom!

This place is like a marriage with terrible in-laws. You want to like them but it just doesn’t happen. Service throughout the visit kept getting more spotty than good. What happened? Our server was practically non existent. Drinks were hard to get refills for and AYCE order page kept being ignored even though it was sitting there ready to be taken. Will I be back? Maybe, but it’ll be second guessed to other numerous sushi places that are popping up in Riverside.

Once upon a time, before discovering Asahi, I was a regular at Oishii. It’s a bonus that they gave you those discount cards too. I returned after years of absence and was astounded by how Oishii has quieted down. It’s a great place to go if you want a quiet sushi meal. There is music playing only faintly in the background. I wanted to witness a live karaōke or sake bomb contest! Can’t remember if I was here Saturday or Sunday evening, but unfortunately it did not happen. I usually love when sushi chefs converse with you but our chef that night didn’t really talk to us and wasn’t lively at all. I was a bit disappointed by the nigiri. It was sub-par quality and did not taste that fresh. I did like the Baked Lobster roll and Jessica roll. Oishii is one of the rare ones that have udon on their AYCE menu. I don’t know why but eating udon after a bunch of sushi is reallyyy satisfying for me. So let me know if you are reading this and can think of other AYCE sushi restaurants with udon on their menu! :) For dessert, the tempura green tea ice cream is not on their AYCE menu but I think it’s worth getting! Overall, it was an underwhelming experience that left me beating myself up for not going to Asahi instead.
