I dine here at least once a week. I love the Sweet & Sour Calamari, the white Clam Chowder, the trout, and the shrimp. My most favorite is the Crème Brulee. It is the absolute perfect dessert. Well, for the last month they have had a Kaluhua Chocolate flavor, and the one time I don’t ask what flavor, I get this. I took a bite and made a face. My dining partner looked at me and said«Oh I have to taste this now.» She made the same face. It was not good. Our waitperson removed the charge from my bill. Yesterday I dined there with my son. We had the best plate of Sweet & Sour Calamari ever and I ordered white clam chowder. I thought it tasted burnt. I gave a taste to my son and he agreed. What’s happening here? Rodney, don’t mess with perfection, just plain olé’ crème brûlée, don’t monkey with perfection. I don’t know what happened to the clam chowder, that has never happened before. This is one of my favorite restaurants, but it may not be on my once a week schedule anymore.

We’ve never been here before, but we have always passed by. Our server Martha was very friendly and had great menu suggestions. We decided to get the bowl of clam chowder and the California Crunch roll because they are $ 6.00. The chowder was fantastic and the roll tasted fresh. I got the duo plate with salmon and a new your strip steak with their special mashed potatoes and chefs veggies. My fiancé got the seafood au gratin with red potatoes and the garlic sting beans. Everything was amazing! The seafood was delicious. The manager Shawn came by our table to chat with us and comped our dessert. We decided on the molten chocolate cake(a hard decision). A great experience with a friendly staff. We are coming back soon!

The service was mediocre and the food was just okay. We were also subjected to listening to a server being reprimanded a few booths down and when told that we could hear the manager continued on. For lunch we had the southern fried catfish meal and the shrimp and scallops meal which had extremely dry rice pilaf, and this was the second time we’ve had this. We won’t be coming back to Market Broiler again. Take your chances of you like.

Im conflicted in my star rating for market broiler. On one hand they ave a mediocre at best seafood restaurant. The food isnt horrible but its pretty bland. On the other hand they have one of the best seafood counters in Riverside city. So for this ill sertle at a 3 and hope people read my review. Because im more of a fan of the seafood counter, its hard to write a review. After all its just a bunch of dead fish. I will say the employees are always friendly and oretty knowledgeable. When you ask for a certain weight of fish, they get it pretty close every time. Until next time..

My server Sandra I would have to say has been the worst server I have ever had. I was one of the first people to be seated and one of the last to be served. She took her sweet time to attend us and hardly checked on my table. She had an attitude the whole time, and her professional conduct was clearly not present. When we had questions about the menu she was unable to give us a clear answer and only made it more difficult to understand what we would be given. Her estimate on the portions the food would be served was way off. I had to ask her for boxes, and she had the audacity to present us with the bill not even half way through our meal. She couldn’t even separate a bill properly. I was told Market Broiler was a great place to eat, but after the service I received I will never eat there again.

So very disappointed tonight with one of our favorite places! We both ordered a wedge salad to start-the never came. I was given not one but two soaking wet napkins that I was supposed to place in my lap for use. I ordered miso marinated Mahi Mahi and received a terribly seasoned piece of fish… no miso marinade and what made it worse was the horrible attitudes of the two servers who were waiting on us. My husband had one of his refills slammed down on the table because apparently, they were done with us. Such a disappointment!

The best seafood ever! My family loves this place. I always get the trio. You can choose any three entrees and 2 sides. Don’t hesitate to try it out

First real date spot for me and my wife. We love this place and go almost once a week for our night out. Food has always been great, never a bad meal. Love the fish bowl Mai Ti. Service has always been good too. If you see a middle aged couple with 3 fish bowls on the table. That’s us. Enjoy

The food was great and the service prompt. The only drawback was waiting a long time to get the check for the large group I was in. I’ll be back the next time I’m in town as the food is worth the drive from Moreno Valley.

I would like to review the food for this location but unfortunately I can’t. We walked in at 11:15AM on the day of this posting and were told it would be a 10 to 15 minute wait for seating. The lobby was crowded with other people who were also waiting to be seated. When I looked at the dining room, every table in the house was literally empty, so I have NO idea what the backup was about. We were on our lunch break from work, so needless to say I didn’t have time to wait. We ended up settling for the Habit across the street. When we walked out the two hostesses had a very nonchalant attitude as if they could care less(Eye rolls included). If your doors open at 11:00, to me that means you are ready to seat people at «11:00». This was not the first time I’ve had a customer service and timing issue with this location, but it certainly will be the last.

Calling to all the seafood lovers! Phenomenal place to get a delicious fish and seafood fix! Food(5⁄5): honestly this place by far has been the most high quality fish place I have been to that gives you the right amount for a good price. If you want good food, this is the place where you can really get what you pay for. My favorite one is the«Creative Combinations» where you can either make a choice of a pick 2 or pick 3 with a generous selection of different fishes or meat and 2 side choices. Also the complimentary SF sourdough bread is always delicious. A great fill and probably one of the best things I love about MB. Service(5⁄5): reason why I wanted to update my review because the service has UPPED its game! The server we had, Lucas, was phenomenal! Super great and efficient and constantly checked in to make sure everything was alright. I also love that they changed the water glasses to these clear blue glass cups, really nice touch to it. Ambience/Interior(4⁄5): overall I love the place so much. It’s large and spacious and the whole place just puts together really well. However it is a bit too dim for my liking sometimes. Overall an amazing place and I love coming here to celebrate for birthdays or even when I’m just craving some delicious tasting salmon!

How can anyone not love this place. This is our favorite place to eat seafood in Riverside. We went there tonight for a celebration dinner. It was perfect! Our server Lucas was one of the best servers we’ve had while dining out in a very long time. Everything we ordered was well prepared and delicious. Always a long line on the weekends which can only mean one thing, many people feel the same way I do and believe that this place is always worth coming to. Daily lunch and dinner specials are enticing. Always hits the spot with me. Worth the wait, worth the try.

I’m surprised that this place is so highly rated. Perhaps my comparison bar is higher, being from a place where seafood is a thing,…but this place is average at best, and really not very memorable. potato cheese taquitos — good, definitely unhealthy, not memorable crab stuffed mushrooms — not bad, def not fresh, and not well made crab stuffing crab wontons — best thing we ate, and still just not the greatest. crab was real though brownie — good but not memorable. nothing stuck out to me, maybe i should have had an entrée, but if their use of seafood on the app menu is indicative of their meals, ill pass. this place looks smells and tastes like chain seafood,…higher end red lobster. ill pass on coming again… if you’re visiting riverside, go to the Salty Pig instead, WAY better.

The fish here is really good and fresh, at an affordable price. They have lunch specials Monday– Saturday from 11 – 3 in which most lunch entrees are around $ 14 and come with fish, shrimp, and two sides. Love how they give your sourdough bread with your meal before hand as an appetizer. The bread has a nice fluffy center and crunchy outside, literally perfect texture. Definitely recommend trying this place if you like fresh seafood and don’t want to break your wallet. The service is friendly and fast, and they are on top of refilling your drinks. Solid 4 stars.

While we did enjoy the service here, the food was only average. They have a fantastic menu and the décor and vibe here is nice as well. Tasty sourdough and butter brought to the table, great drinks as well. My fish was a bit watery and pretty thin, not much flavor. The veggies were tasty though and I did enjoy the sauce they brought as well. My husbands steak was pretty fatty and overcooked, not really the quality we were expecting. Prices and portions are fair, all around ok, they just have to work on their proteins.

This location is down right delicious! My daughter and I came in during lunch time, and as usual the place is pact. The community knows this place has the BEST seafood in town. We were seated almost emeditly. Greeted by a great waiter named Heriberto. He knows his menu. She was in the mood for sushi, so 1 crunchy tempura roll & her favorite was the surf & turf. Shrimp tempura shrimp inside /thinly sliced steak on top with a dab of cream cheese. She kept saying yum throughout the meal. I chose the you pick 2. Grilled salmon & Shrimp on a skewer. Also was greeted by a friendly manager named David. Made us feel very welcomed. BONUS! Had a sweet tooth so to top of our delicious meal, a hot fudge sunday! Yummy Thank you for another amazing meal ! See you soon

So the other week, the family and I were hungry for seafood and decided to consider our options. Truth be told, most seafood restaurants tend to be pricey. Very pricey actually. Not only that but their selection tends to be somewhat limited. There are options out there, sure; Red Lobster and Joe’s Crab Shack being a couple of them. This time, however, we wanted to try someplace different. We’d been to Market Broiler a couple times in the past before and decided to give it another try. I’d say we made a good choice. Located behind the Riverside Plaza and next to a(one of the few remaining) Marie Calendar’s, The Market Broiler has been a seafood spot for over two decades. When my father was alive it was one of his favorite places to go. You walk in and the place smells simply delicious. Not fishy at all, as some similar establishments can be. The smells of cooking foods of all kinds greets the customers, enticing them inside. Our wait for a table was very short– which was certainly a plus with as hungry as we all where. Let me say this; for a(mostly) seafood restaurant, the prices are quite reasonable. I chose a two item«build your own combo» for less than $ 19; and there were quite a few options to choose from. My miso-glazed mahi mahi and tri-tip steak were more than delicious. The rest of the family enjoyed their meals as well and also felt the prices were reasonable. The serving sizes seemed just right. They always could be bigger, of course — but they were very satisfying. In fact, the wife wound up taking some of her meal home. Also of delicious note is the sourdough bread they serve at the beginning of the meal. Their menu is impressive. Their fish(and sushi!) selection is varied and fresh. They also have a good selection of «dishes without fishes» to choose from. Our service was very good. The waitress was very attentive and our drinks never got too empty.” Overall it was a very enjoyable experience and a very satisfying meal in every way. I highly recommend this location over the more trendy one in Ontario Mills.
