This place is the best to go and eat and if I could rate it more I would. It is the best place for a quick snack or for a meal.

The wood fired pizza is fantastic! We tried a few beers as well, all were great. Really friendly employees, all were very knowledgeable about the food and beers.

I was so sad when Fat Bruce’s left but the brewery is a great addition to downtown Ripon. The wood-fire pizza oven turns out very good pizzas. I had the Blue. Staff were friendly and helpful. I don’t drink beer but I hear the beers are great. Fun atmosphere.

Really cute place in Ripon. Excellent Latte and a good selection of their own brews. We didn’t eat but chilled on the couch for an hour looking at the books and having our drinks. The pizza smelled and looked divine.

Decoded to take a winter mini day trip to ripon and check out Knute brewing company. We were not disappointed. Sat at the bar. Lots of local folks there and we felt welcome. Bar tender was equally attentive to us as she was to the folks she already knew(not always the case when you go to a place and you’re not a regular) btk had the Scottish ale 7 to 71⁄2 so very good. Ordered smoked salmon plate with mascarpone and a cheese plate both wee well thought out with dried cranberry garnish yum. Knock down just a bit because the pin bones were still in the salmon. If you’re in the ripon area for any of the multiple summer festivals or winter events stop in kbc will welcome you.

Great Beer Super Food A welcome spot in Ripon We tried all the beers and liked them all. The favorite is an APA We had the hummus and wings app. Then a salad bowl that was fresh and big enough to share. Dave’s famous pizza is outstanding! All the food was excellent. Emily was a great bartender and all the staff was friendly and happy to help.

The beer and lunch was very good. The wait-staff was very friendly and when my husband missed the tip line on the receipt he was told not to even worry about it. He tipped in cash — the staff was friendly and we will definitely be back.

Descriptive phrase: delightfully homey beer and food. We came to Knuth Brewing Company for the beer, but stayed for the ambiance and food. It’s a beautifully-redone old building on the main street, with slightly-separated café and bar spaces. We ordered at the café counter and it came out to us at the bar. The House-made Hummus Dip with raw veggies($ 4.95) was delicious and generous. The three of us couldn’t finish it all, but they gave us a box to go. We then split a large Dave’s Fave Pizza($ 14.95), which was fresh and perfectly wood-fired(even if it made me find out I’m allergic to portabella mushrooms!). Each of the three house-beers they had on tap were very good, though I was partial to the APA. Knuth is a fantastic spot for a bite or brew if you’re in the Ripon area.

A gem in Ripon! Happy staff, great pizza and crafted beer. What could be better? Blue Fungi with Prosciutto pizza has Gorgonzola for extra favor with fresh crust made before your eyes. To die for!

We’ve been waiting for a good restaurant to come to the Green Lake area and the time has finally come. Knuth’s gets everything right. Great meal, and a great place to just hang out. Definitely looking forward to trying the house-made brews next time we visit!

I got the wood fired pizza, Dave’s Fave, and it is really impressive. He got everything right. The crust is perfect. The seasoning is perfect. This is an excellent pizza, and through the doorway I got the Weekender wheat which is very very good beer. I am glad that I wandered into this place.

This restaurant has been a successful business for quite some time offering a great lunch menu, baked goods and coffee. Now under new administration, the restaurant has a virtually new menu including pizza and beer. The new owners are associated with Road House pizza in Ripon. I’m disappointed at the radical replacement of the menu with an offering that looks more like a re run of Road House pizza. The delicious, popular and healthy Quinoa salads are no longer offeted. I asked the owner if the Quinoa salads would be coming back to which he replied«maybe as a special». I ordered one of the new salads and although acceptable, the bread stick that was served seems to be of lesser quality than what was previously offered. It’s not a bad place but certainly the menu changes were done too fast and the pizza and beer is already available in other restaurants in town.

Every time we are in Green Lake we head to Bruce’s. He makes an excellent cup of coffee and he and his staff are always nice and friendly. The pastries and food are delightful and I highly recommend coming here. Thank you Bruce!

Fat Bruce’s is two, two, two shops in one(cool, I inserted my dated cultural reference on the first line of my review). For those of you looking to get your caffeine buzz on, Fat Bruce’s is a decent coffee shop for small town Wisconsin. They dropped some serious coin to renovate the interior of the 19th century building housing this establishment. There is plenty of seating, a strong, password-protected wi-fi signal and a wide assortment of pastries to nosh on. The coffee shop roasts its own coffee on site in small batches and ol’ Fat Bruce serves up a mean cup of joe. My oatmeal and brown sugar muffin top was a disappointment — it was the bastard child of an illicit union between a scone and muffin(a scuffin?) that was extremely spongy and far too sweet. But the packed display case is home to a wide assortment of tempting pastries and I am more than willing to sample those confections until I find an acceptable match to the wonderful coffee I consumed. Where Fat Bruce’s really brings the thunder is the sandwich side of the operation. I recently ordered a Berlin Club Panini(Ham, Turkey, Swiss, bacon, lettuce and tomatoes) to go. For my panini order, there were several homemade bread options that change from day-to-day. I wisely selected the ciabatta option. The bread was out-of-the-oven fresh, flavorful and provided great textural contrast. It certainly gets my bread-head seal of approval. Also drawing raves was the thick cut, succulent slices of turkey, oven roasted on site. This fantastic sandwich was a tremendous value at $ 6.99. The kettle chips were a nice added touch. Since I ordered the sandwich to go, they placed those chips in a small plastic bag so they stayed crunchy next to the moist sandwich and pickle spear. Fat Bruce, I am definitely a fan and look forward to future visits when my travels take me through Ripon.

I had the pleasure of visiting Ripon for the first time ever. Firstly, my mission was to visit the Rippin’ Good cookie factory outlet(worth a stop!) and was so charmed that I figured I’d explore the town and have an early lunch. A search on Unilocal found me Fat Bruce’s. What a find! Fat Bruce’s is a coffee shop/bakery/sandwich shop. One half is the coffee shop and bakery, the other is the sandwich shop. Bright and airy, its situated in a renovated late 19th century building. Ample seating, free Wi-Fi and on street parking. I did not sample the bakery or coffee, so this review is based on the sandwich half of the business. What impressed me the most was the quality and freshness of the food!!! I has the Welsh Beef sandwich on focaccia with a side of veggies, along with an iced tea. Everything is made here and it shows. The bread was fresh and soft, you could tell it wasn’t loaded with preservatives or sitting around getting stale. The side of veggies(baby carrots and broccoli) were clearly fresh, not dried out and nasty like some places try to serve, and come with a small side of ranch. The sandwich had a generous stack of roast beef with Monterey Jack and Gorgonzola cheese. It was perfectly grilled and the cheese was nice and melty. Came with a side of dipping sauce that was the perfect compliment. Really wish I would have taken a picture, as it looked as yummy as it tasted. The iced tea was fresh brewed and perfectly sweet(they also have unsweetened). Really wish this place was a little closer, as I’d love to explore their menu more. If you are passing through this lovely small college town, be sure to stop here!

Excellent sandwiches, delicious soup, good bakery and tasty coffee. I live down the street from Fat Bruce’s and dine here frequently. I have yet to have a bad meal here. They roast their own coffee and it’s quite good. I recommend the welsch beef sandwich or the Coulée salad, although the specials of the day never disappoint.

This is my favorite spot for lunch in Ripon. The half sand which and soup or salad is usually the right amount of food. Service is friendly. I like their coffee a lot, which I believe they roast in house. Lots of food backed goods too.
