This Days Inn was much better than the one in Arlington, the rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. If all you need is a room to sleep in because you would rather experience the city instead of the hotel, this place would do just fine.

We stayed 3 nights over Labor Day weekend. The bed was comfortable. The TV was old(not a flat screen) and had annoying lines running through it. The faucet in the sink leaked and got water all over things we placed on the counter. We reported the TV and faucet at the front desk and they said they would put our room on the maintenance list so hopefully it’s better for the next guests. The breakfast was OK but we chose to go out for breakfast twice because we just didn’t think it was worth eating here. All in all, it was just OK. Price was reasonable so I guess we can’t complain too much and we were only in the room to sleep. Oh, it has a small fridge which kept our drinks nice and cold. Sometimes those little fridges aren’t very cold. Lastly, other than the road construction and the fact that it is farther from the freeway than it appeared on the map, it is close to most everything we needed. One thing I would like to see added was some suggestions for restaurants in the form of a tourist booklet or brochure and maybe even coupons in it.

For this grade of hotel, the Days Inn of Rio Rancho gets 5 stars. We stayed here for a soccer tournament so we had 8 rooms at this hotel. It worked out really well for our team and the staff here went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. I have to mention especially Ginger who really did an amazing job with breakfast and accommodating our requests. She made sure coffee was always on(we are from Seattle!) and that there was a pitcher of ice water for the kids on the counter all day long. The rooms, though not fancy, were all very clean and had everything needed for our stay. The kids got great use out of the pool and hot tub and it was convenient and easy to get to. There are a lot of restaurants around the area and a Target and Albertsons within a 2 minute walk. There is also a nice running trail very closeby that takes you on a good 3 – 4 mile run for those running folks out there :) Just take a left out of the parking lot and the first right and you will see it. I also want to say I left a couple of very valuable items at the hotel and they found them, put them in a safe place until I could come and get them(3 days later). very trustable.
