This place is a good place to try out ice skating on the west side. I had fun bringing my cousins kids here ice skating for the first time. We did run into a few issues but nothing that made our experience any less than enjoyable. First of all one of the girls was given size 4 shoes in boys. I noticed she was struggling on the ice and she couldn’t keep her skates on straight so i asked her if they were too loose and sure enough they were. We took them right back to exchange them for another pair of size 4’s and thats when we realized they had made the mistake of giving us boys 4 the first time. The skates I got the first time were missing loops to for the laces, I had to exchange them. I was thinking, do the people here not even look at these skates. The second pair i was given were also missing loops but I was able to make them work. They do need to update their inventory or at least pay attention to what they are giving people. This was also when they weren’t very busy so there is no excuse to not notice things like this. Otherwise the skating rink was lots of fun.

Good mens hockey league here. Great for familes and parties. Affordable blades has a good hockey community.

I took my daughter and two year old son for a special date out tonight. They were so excited to skate and I figured it would be a non-busy time. When we arrived there were only 4 other skaters on the ice. Before we hit the ice, my daughter asked the girls in the front office where the«ice walkers» were, and she was told we couldn’t use one. After 10 minutes my back was killing me from hunching over to support my two year old while he attempted to skate. I went and talked with the front person and was told even though they have the little«ice walkers» for kids, I could not use one because of insurance reasons. I could only use one if my child was in lessons. Kind of defeats the purpose if you ask me. Aren’t they in lessons to learn to skate? We lasted about 15 minutes(going around the rink maybe twice) before I just couldn’t take it any more. It would have been so easy for them to let me use an ice walker for my son. The ice was practically empty. I asked to speak with the manager and she very kindly told me there are no refunds. She said I could talk with the owner, but the owner wouldn’t do anything either. To her credit she gave me a 2 for 1 ticket that expires in 30 days. Chances are I won’t get another chance to go there if they won’t let me us an ice walker for my kids since my kids are little. I’ve been to ice skating rinks in 5 different states and never ONCE have heard of this rule. Also, to skate for 20 minutes for my 8 year old, my two year old and my self was 25.00. Not worth it. Go somewhere who actually wants you to be there.

AWFUL — very expensive to skate. Ice is always chewed up. And, now, if you bring your kid to skate — you have to pay too! The ice supervisor is rude, and spends a lot of time flirting with pre-teen figure skaters(which is disturbing, since he is an adult). Make the drive to outpost up in the heights. This joint sucks ice — They get 1 star only because negative stars are not possible!
